Wan Azizah resigns as MP for Permatang Pauh.............

Anwar Ibrahim today announced that he will contest a by-election in Permatang Pauh, which will be vacated by his wife, party leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Wan Azizah told a packed press conference this afternoon that she will be resigning her position as member of parliament for the seat but will retain her post as PKR president.

"I have submitted my resignation letter to House speaker today," she said.

Dr Wan Azizah also thanked her supporters in Permatang Pauh who had stood by her in the most difficult of times.

"Anwar Ibrahim has the experience and intelligence to reinvigorate our economy, and the charisma and integrity to unite Malaysians.

"And I'm not saying this just because he is my husband," she added

Anwar, who is seeking a parliamentary comeback after an absence of 10 years, has been shopping for a seat to contest after the expiry of a five-year ban from active politics.

Anwar, is currently under a police investigation for sodomy involving Saiful Bukhari Azlan, 23, a former aide. Anwar had previously said he would contest in the Kulim-Bandar Baharu parliamentary constituency, where an election petition is pending. The case is scheduled for hearing on Aug 19 and is uncertain until when will the case prolong.

The Election Commission is required under the law to call for a by-election within 60 days. Its chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman said the Commission would start preparing for the by-election upon receiving notice by the Speaker. Read here.

Pusrawi - “Looks the same, contents are the same.”.....

Hospital Pusrawi today clarified that its medical officer, Dr Muhammad Osman Abdul Hamid, did not conduct a sodomy-related examination on Saiful.

The hospital revealed that Muhammad, a Burmese national, is not a specialist but only a general practitioner stationed at the Emergency Unit.

In a statement distributed to reporters, the hospital's general manager Wan Mahmud Wan Yaakob also said that it has not released any official reports pertaining to the case.

After examining Saiful, he said, the doctor advised the former to undergo an examination by a specialist at a government hospital.

"There were no further examinations carried out (on Saiful at Pusrawi) in relation to the sodomy complaint," he added.

VK Lingam said, "It sound like me, look like me but I can’t 100% sure that was me". Today, when Wan Mahmud was quizzed by the media on the authenticity of the report leaked to the public,he replied: “Looks the same, contents are the same.”

Sounds familiar?

source: Malaysiakini
-----------------------

The fact that Hospital Pusrawi acknowledged Dr.Mohammad was the the medical officer in attendance at the Emergency Unit at the time Saiful was there, proves that Dr.Mohammad indeed did an examination on Saiful, Therefore the leaked medical report was in fact genuine. You dont need a specialist to do a sodomy checkup. Even in government hospitals rape victims are first attended by hospital assistants, than, later by a medical officer, not necessarily a specialist.

How such a confidential document was leaked to the public is beside the point. Hospital Pusrawi has not denied about the authenticity of the document either, though they might be pressured by the police and the others in this conspiracy plot to issue a statement in the opposite. One must remember that Hospital Pusrawi is a business enterprise and it need permits and licences to operate. Guess who issue this permits and licences?

Hospital Pusrawi officials claimed that the doctor on duty did not conduct a sodomy related examination on Saiful. If thats the case why was the leaked medical report being punctuated with medical lingos like PR(per rectal bleeding),no blood in stool, tenesmus for one week,no active bleeding,no ulcer or pus seen,no injury seen,no tear seen,no rule to rule out assault(sodomise) etc,etc........(refer report below)

Since Saiful complained that he was sodomized, the doctor did a check-up and Dr.Mohammad must had examined his ass rather than his mouth. Though Dr.Mohammad isnt a "pakar" but with more than 20 years experience surely he could differentiate between a virgin and a sodomized ass? In other words Dr.Mohammad discovered that there was no evidence of penetration on Saiful's "juboq"(anus).

Since Saiful wanted to make a police report Dr.Mohammad suggested Saiful to go to HKL, a government hospital for that purpose.

Anyway, if the HKL medical report states otherwise, then obviously Saiful, the police and HKL has many questions to answer.

Yet,the best is for Dr Mohammad to come out in the open to give his side of the story, that too unless he hasnt being pressured or brainwashed...........

Meanwhile, yet in another stunning revelation in Malaysia Today,Raja Petra Kamaruddin said,at 2.30pm on Wednesday, 25 June 2008, SAC II Mohd Rodwan Mohd Yusof met Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan in room 619 of the Concorde Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to this secret meeting, Rodwan and Saiful spoke on the phone at least eight (8) times.

Three days later, at 2.00pm on 28 June 2008, Saiful went to see Dr Mohamed Osman Abdul Hamid of the Hospital Pusrawi to ‘complain’ that he had been sodomised by ‘a very important person’ and that he wished to lodge a police report.

The doctor, however, found no traces or evidence that he had been sodomised and suggested, for purposes of the police report, that Saiful go to a government hospital.

Doktor: Tiada kesan Saiful diliwat

Tiada Bukti Saiful Diliwat...................

Saiful kemudiannya memberitahu bahawa dia mahu membuat laporan polis, lantas Dr. mohamed osman mencadangkan dia (Saiful) pergi untuk membuat pemeriksaan kedua dihospital kerajaan.

Laporan doktor amat jelas.

Breaking News......

Malaysia kini reports.............

Doctor: No evidence of sodomy
Beh Lih Yi and P Tarani | Jul 28, 08 1:36pm

There is no evidence that Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan was sodomised, according to the doctor who examined him four hours before he lodged a police report alleging he was sexually assaulted by PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim. It is believed that Anwar's former aide Saiful (left) went to two different hospitals on June 28 - the day he lodged the police report claiming that he was sodomised by his ex-boss. He first went to Hospital Pusrawi (Pusat Rawatan Islam) in Jalan Tun Razak - a government-linked Islamic medical institution - at about 2pm.

According to a copy of the two-page medical report obtained by malaysiakini yesterday, Saiful went to the hospital complaining of 'tenesmus' - a medical term for difficulty and pain in passing motion. He was examined by Dr Mohamed Osman Abdul Hamid, the medical officer on duty. The doctor said that the patient had alleged he was assaulted by the intrusion of a piece of "plastic" in the anus.

Mohamed Osman, according to his medical report which was recorded at 2.14pm, found "zero active bleeding", "zero ulcer or pus", "zero tear and scar" in Saiful's anus. He also stated that Saiful appeared "alert","comfortable","not pale" and did not show any fever symptoms.

A senior Pusrawi official told malaysiakini this morning that the hospital had launched an internal investigation on how Saiful's medical report was leaked, which is widely considered as a major infringement of patient privacy. When malaysiakini showed him a copy of the report, he refused to return it saying, "It's our document." A check at the emergency unit where Mohamed Osman is attached revealed that he has taken leave since last week.

Meanwhile, Pusrawi general manager Wan Mahmood Wan Yaacob refused to comment on the matter.

Conflicting medical reports

Mohamed Osman, in his report's concluding remarks, advised Saiful to go to a government hospital so as "to rule out" assault and sodomy. At 6pm on that day, Saiful went to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for his second medical examination. He subsequently lodged a report against Anwar at the police beat at the hospital.

According to an expert who has dealt with rape and sodomy cases, the victim must provide a second medical examination in a government hospital. She said the court will only accept evidence from a government hospital but the first medical examination must collaborate with the second report, otherwise this could be challenged during the trial.

"From the report, the doctor had failed to find any evidence to support the patient's complaint. That was why he asked the patient to go to a government hospital to conclusively rule out assault or sodomy," said the expert who requested anonymity.

It is learnt that the police have recorded statements from Mohamed Osman after Saiful lodged the report against Anwar. The doctor was said to be under tremendous stress as a result of the police interrogation and was advised by the hospital to take leave. Mohamed Osman, a Burmese Muslim, has 20 years of experience as a doctor. He previously worked in government hospitals before joining Pusrawi about a year ago.

Efforts by malaysiakini to contact Saiful has not been successful.

Apakah perbuatan liwat ini benar-benar berlaku atau semata-mata permainan politik pihak-pihak tertentu. Andaian aku adalah berdasarkan kepada;

1. Pihak polis masih belum lagi keluarkan laporan polis.
2. Pihak polis memaksa doktor dari Hospital Pusrawi itu memalsukan laporan perubatan Saiful, hinggakan menyebabkan doktor berkenaan terpaksa melarikan diri.
4. Soal DNA Anwar, sedangkan DNA dinosour saintis masih lagi boleh baca takkan DNA 1998 dulu tak boleh kot.
5. Masih belum dapat melengkapkan skrip serta menentukan hakim "correct, correct, correct" untuk mengadili kes ini that will fix a guilty verdict.
6. Immediately after Anwar left his overnight stay in the detention cell at IPPKL, his cell was being swept by a group of forensic experts. Probably to look for hairs/pubic hairs that could be planted on the pillows and mattress later on.

cheers.

PAS got to explain to it's Pakatan partners.........

Pat Lah will explain to BN component parties the Umno-PAS meetings that were held after the March 8 general election. He is expected to do so at a BN full council meeting to be held a few days after the management committee meeting on Aug 6, said BN sec- general Adnan Mansor.

"We will get a date from the PM, maybe a few days after the Aug 6 meeting," he said, adding that Pat Lah would explain to parties like MCA, MIC and Gerakan what the meetings were on.
-------------------------

PAS can do the same, by explaining to it's Pakatan partners what really transpired and why the necessity to meet UMNO after the March 8 general election.

By doing so,PAS can at least proof that it has nothing to hide from it's Pakatan partners and those who voted them. Though there is no formal agreement between DAP and PAS but the point of contact was thru PKR. The recent development had raise doubts and perceptions about Pakatan Rakyat's future. PAS must remember that the non-Malays too played an important role in bringing victory to PAS candidates in the 12th general election.

The UMNO-PAS talk is just to create suspicions amongst the Pakatan partners and PAS grassroot members, and that will eventually weakened Pakatan Rakyat including PAS itself. Even PAS grassroot members are having doubts about their leader's sincerity now.

PAS must realize that they had being cheated once by UMNO. UMNO's ploy that it wants to work with PAS is in fact just a gambit to deny Pakatan Rakyat's dream to form the federal government. PAS too must consider whether PAS an Islamic party that uphold the Islamic faith will be able to live with scums, robbers and pirates from UMNO? PAS has come a long way and PAS can no more play second fiddle to UM NO.

The non-Malays are beginning to trust PAS and PAS has got to show that it is sincere in what its doing. This trust should not be breached overnight just because Pat Lah and his UMNO goons entices PAS in order to help UMNO stay in power.

During the last GE, there were hundreds of Indians and Chinese youths mending a large number of PAS "pondok panas", in urban and semi urban areas, a scene that you will never dream off before. PAS must remember that the last time they were in bed with UMNO, they were thrown out like a used condom.

Raja Petra in his latest piece on his 'No Holds Barred' column has this to say, Conjure new sodomy allegations against Anwar. This will get PAS worried and they will start having second thoughts about Anwar and Pakatan Rakyat. Get PAS and Umno to sit down and talk about Malay unity. Let PAS see that their political future lies with Umno and not with PKR, which is going to be brought down by the latest sodomy allegation against Anwar. Tell PAS that Umno agrees to the implementation of Islamic laws in the states they control and that Umno agrees PAS shall be the Menteri Besar (whereas PKR is oppose to Islamic laws just like their other partner in Pakatan Rakyat, DAP). The architects and engineers of the PAS-Umno Malay unity talks realise that offering PAS the Menteri Besar post and agreeing to the implementation of Islamic laws alone is not enough. They need to also destroy Anwar’s credibility to prove to PAS that its future lies with Umno and not with PKR. Read here.

Was Pat Lah really awake when he okayed the Mercedes purchase.........

Terengganu MB Ahmad Said said that Pat Lah has approved the state government's use of the luxury cars in place of Proton Perdana V6 Executive cars. He said that he explained to Pat Lah on the need to replace the Proton executive cars and obtained Abdullah's blessings for the change.

Speaking to reporters in Kuala Terengganu today, Ahmad said he had a cordial meeting with both Pat Lah and Najib Abdul Razak yesterday.

"We reached a consensus on the matter during the meeting at PWTC. The matter has been solved," he said.

But................

In another development, Pat Lah said he spoke to Terengganu MB Ahmad Said at the PWTC yesterday and advised him against using the 14 Mercedes-Benz E200 Kompressor for state exco members.

"This is an important matter and the cabinet decided that the cars shouldn't be used by the excos. That is what we have decided although they may feel it is their right to get the cars.

"It is very clear. But since the cars are already purchased and if we were to sell them now, it would be at a loss. It is better to use them for guests of the state although they were initially bought for the excos," he added.

-------------------

So you see, whether Pat Lah was awake when he said OK on the purchase of the Mercedes. If he was fully awake he shouldnt had make such a blunder. Btw. can the Terengganu gomen purchase those new cars without first getting the approval of the Treasury?

So Pat Lah thought that buying 14 Mercedes E 200 Kompressor for RM 3.43 million is cheaper than buying 14 new Perdanas, because the Terengganu MB had conned Pat Lah into believing that maintenance cost for these Mercedes will be much cheaper. Thats what they think so.........

Knowing that he sudah kena kantoi,Pat Lah says can buylah but exco cannot use......but only for guest. Who are the guests? Mohd.Taib,Adnan Mansor,Khairy Jamaluddin or Patrick Lim.......

Is Pat Lah punishing the excos for not supporting his chosen MB candidate,Idris Jusoh? But Idris Jusoh was detested by the Sultan. Make your own assumption............. While the rumour mills keeps spinning, read here and here.

Read here.

Najib’s nightmare isnt over yet...............

A photograph showing Anwar's accuser posing in the DPM's office with an advisor, link Najib to Anwar's new sodomy allegation. Najib initially denied having ever met the young man, then changed his story, but he denies being behind the allegations.

Though,Najib might deny any involvement but the motive is still there as both Najib and Anwar are rivals to become the country's next PM. Dr Wan Azizah, the opposition leader said, "Najib's closet is full of skeletons, and to divert attention he had to get something on Anwar, because everything is moving too fast and Anwar is gaining too much ground,"

Pat Lah, has promised to handover to him by June 2010. Whether such promise will materialize is another issue. Political pundits thinks that the handover period is a bit too long and not in favour of Najib. Pat Lah might find ways to consolidate his hold to power and along the way might even 'push Najib out 'in favour of another candidate of his liking, and continue to be PM until the next general election.

Najib's ambition to be crown the next PM are threatened not only by Anwar's return to the scene but also he is facing embarrassing allegations of his own. Two of his police bodyguards and one of his closest associates are on trial for murdering a Mongolian lass, Altantuya Shaariibuu who was allegedly demanding her share from supposed to be a corrupt arms deal. Najib is currently the Defence Minister.

Altantuya Shaariibuu was murdered in 2006 and her body blowned to pieces with military explosives. Najib denies ever meeting her or any knowledge of the killing but he continues to face fresh allegations.

Raja Petra Kamarudin, was committed for trial on charges of criminal defamation for alleging Najib and his wife Rosmah were more closely involved than they admits.

Balasubramaniam, a private investigator who suprised the nation with his baffling SD that directly implicated Najib. However, less than 24 hours later, he retracted the portion of his earlier SD that implicated Najib. Balasubramaniam has gone into hiding.

The irony is that, both cases have some degree of similarity that both are based on accusations. However they were treated differently by the gomen and the authorities involved. One with dignity(Najib & Rosmah) while the other(Anwar & Raja Petra) with hostility. In Rosmah’s case the burden of proof is on the police to proof her guilt, but as for Anwar and Raja Petra the burden of proof is on them to proof their innocence. When you have different sets of law for different category of people, can the police then convince the rakyat that they acted without fear or favour?

Karpal Singh's application to call Najib as witness and recall PI Balasubramaniam to the stand in the on-going Altantuya Sharibuu murder trial was thrown out today.

The year long Altantuya murder trial proceeded without any direction as the real motive of Altantuya’s murder was not addressed. Sure enough when you murder someone is not just for the fun of it but with some motives. Her body were blown to pieces in a mysterious manner by the two accused. Common sense tells you that they would not have acted on their own but on instruction from their superiors. Who are their superiors?

Today Raja Petra came out with another startling disclosure that could blow apart what was suppose to be a well meted plan of destroying Anwar's political comeback. Raja Pertra's expose, reveals that Saiful had met Najib not to ask about a scholarship or career guidance briefing, but to deviously plan how to nail Anwar with the sodomy charge.

That's probably why the police cannot produce Saiful's police report, coz it got to be amended now and then. Read Raja Petra's expose here. Make your own conclusions...............

----------------------------

On another front, Pas's Majlis Syura Ulama (the religious scholars' consultative council)today decided that there will be no more muzakarah (dialogue), only muqabalah (ordinary meeting) between Pas and Umno with regards to the controversial Pas-Umno Malay unity talks. The two-hour meeting chaired by Nik Aziz at his residence was attended by, among others, Hadi and his deputy Nasharuddin Mat Isa, Nik Aziz's deputy spiritual leader Dr Harun Din, vice-president Ahmad Awang and ulama'chief Mohamed Daud Iraqi.

Pat Lah admitted that he met PAS leaders, excluding Nik Aziz, three times since the March 8 general election. Hadi confirmed Pat Lah's statement but only revealed details of two meetings. Abdul Hadi stressed that,"There was no question of PAS joining the federal government because PAS is still with Pakatan Rakyat. We will continue to be with Pakatan to fulfill our common political wisdom," he said.

UMNO is drowning and trying hard to reach out to PAS for help. Are the Malays losing their Ketuanan Melayu just because the Malays are not being united? Nope..........

Well, actually the situation is that the Malays got united to overthrow a corrupt gomen... and it so happens that this corrupt gomen in question is UMNO/BN.

Perdana, not much about the car but shoddy workmanship and false claims......

The Terengganu government is prepared to provide detailed proof of what it claims was the heavy cost of servicing and repair of the Proton Perdana V6 Executive cars it had used as the state's official cars to justify its purchase of the replacement Mercedes Benz cars. The office of Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said said in a statement Tuesday that the maintenance cost had been high since the Proton cars were put into use four years ago.

For example, the maintenance cost of two of the cars since 2004 was RM175,229.97 and RM132,357.76, said the statement faxed to Bernama.

The state government has bought 14 Mercedes E200 Kompressor cars at a cost of RM3.43 million to replace its Perdana V6 Executive cars for use as the official cars of the state executive councillors and senior state government officers.

The statement reiterated that the state government did not use its oil royalty to buy the cars and that the purchase was made in accordance with Paragraph 6 (II) of Treasury Circular 1 of 2008 which requires the purchase of all locally made or locally assembled CKD (completely knocked down) cars.

The state government also clarified that the menteri besar was still using an 18-year-old car of the previous state government and not a new car as reported by a local newspaper.- Bernama

---------------------
Between RM30,000 - RM175,000 for replacing gearboxes and maintenances? It could be true if these repairs were done by mechanics from the crony's workshops, where they charge oil change for RM500.00 or brake pads for RM600.00 or replacing wipers at RM300.00 a piece.

So to solve these problems the Menteri Besar, Ahmad Said came out with a bright idea, replace those Perdanas with Mercedes E200 Kompressor, that drinks petrol like tomorrow never come. While the spare parts will cost 3-4 time the cost of Perdana spare parts. Can someone teach the MB to do his mathematics right.

I think those Perdana were never being serviced but service claims ran into hundreds of thousands RM. Its not much about the car but the shoddy workmanship by compadre mechanics and their false claims were the reasons. Meanwhile, those Perdana will disposed off from between 5- 10 thousand RM a piece to the current YBs. Yes,the YBs gets Perdana cheap and drives home a brand new Mercedes E200 Kompressor......win-win situation!

The problem is Saiful's underpants was splashed with 1998 semen........

In his latest posting on "No Hold Barred", Raja Petra Kamaruddin, revealed how Anwar's 1998 semen was splashed on Saiful's undergarment to look as if, read on.............

How, yet again, they are trying to fabricate evidence against Anwar - Raja Petra Kamarudin

The ‘evidence’ is ready. The semen specimen on Saiful’s underwear has been confirmed as Anwar’s. The only problem is if they allow an independent foreign expert to do an audit on the Chemistry Department’s findings, he or she might confirm that the specimen is ten years old and not dated 26 June 2008 as alleged. It was a great party that night. The Chemistry Department was so pleased they had an airtight case against Anwar Ibrahim they decided to celebrate. And the RM25,000 party was financed by a Good Samaritan who was delighted that this time, unlike last time, they have got Anwar by the balls. RM25,000 is not a lot to spend on a party if it is a party to celebrate the wedding of the Prime Minister. Last year, when Abdullah Ahmad Badawi got married to the Maid from Putrajaya, they spent millions. RM25,000 is also not a lot to spend on a celebration the day Najib Tun Razak finally takes over as Prime Minister in 2010. Rosmah Mansor spends more than that on a handbag. But RM25,000 is certainly a lot to spend on a party to celebrate the ‘success’ of the Chemistry Department in being able to nail Anwar’s balls to the wall.

Why does the Good Samaritan need to sponsor a RM25,000 party for the Chemistry Department staff? What is there to celebrate? Do they always celebrate with a RM25,000 party whenever they succeed in cracking a case? Or was this an once-in-a-lifetime celebration for successfully coming up with the ‘evidence’ to send Anwar to jail for at least ten years, which will ensure he will never be able to form the new federal government on 16 September 2008? Hold on awhile though. Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said that Anwar must volunteer his ‘new’ DNA profile. The 1998 DNA profile that the police have on record is ‘too old’, argued Abdullah. The police, in turn, said that if Anwar refuses to volunteer his ‘new’ DNA profile then they would have to obtain a court order to force him to do so. Hmm…..there appears to be many things wrong with all this.

Firstly, if the Chemistry Department has already wrapped up its case and the airtight ‘evidence’ against Anwar has already been secured then why the need for Anwar’s new DNA profile? DNA profiles never expire. Would the police also need Anwar’s ‘new’ fingerprints because the one they took ten years ago has ‘expired’? Fingerprints never change from the day you were born till the day you die. And the same goes for DNA profiles as well. If you can remember, they once dug up Napoleon Bonaparte’s grave and did an examination to prove he had died of arsenic poisoning. And Napoleon died on 5 May 1821, which is more than 187 years ago. You mean to say that Anwar’s DNA profile of ten years ago is already basi?

The truth is, the airtight ‘evidence’ that the Chemistry Department recently conjured is based on Anwar’s specimen of 1998. So they need a new specimen dated 2008. If not, if Anwar calls in an independent foreign expert to audit the Chemistry Department’s evidence, he or she might just discover that the so-called ‘evidence’ is actually ten years old and not from the 26 June 2008 ‘sodomy’ incident as alleged by the government. Yes, that’s right, they not only can tell whether the so-called ‘semen’ on Saiful’s underwear belongs to Anwar, they can also tell whether it is from September 1998 when they first took Anwar’s specimen, or whether it is dated 26 June 2008 as alleged by the government.

The ‘evidence’ is ready. The semen specimen on Saiful’s underwear has been confirmed. The only problem would be if they allow an independent foreign expert to do an audit on the Chemistry Department’s findings, he or she might confirm that the specimen is ten years old and not dated 26 June 2008 as alleged. So they need to exchange the September 1998 specimen with a new one dated July 2008. And that is why Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Syed Hamid Albar, and all those others, have asked Anwar to volunteer his new specimen. They need this new specimen to ‘prove’ that the semen on Saiful’s underwear is dated 26 June 2008 and not September 1998. And Abdullah himself ‘confirmed’ this when he asked Anwar to volunteer his new specimen whereas the old specimen is good enough if it is just required for DNA profiling — only that it would not pass the test if an independent foreign expert was to audit the Chemistry Department’s ‘evidence’ and then come out with a report that says the specimen is ten years old.

Yes, in September 1998 they already took Anwar’s specimen. But they can’t use it as evidence in this latest sodomy allegation. They need to ‘update’ the evidence and unless they can force Anwar to give them his new specimen then the evidence will be shot full of holes. And that is why the police had to reluctantly release Anwar on police bail one day after his dramatic Hollywood-
style arrest. They either had to release him or bring him to court to be charged. But how to charge Anwar when the evidence is defective? And evidence of Anwar’s so-called sodomy crime supported by a specimen from September 1998 will certainly be defective and will not stand up in court. Anwar is alleged to have sodomised Saiful on 26 June 2008, not in September 1998.

Now can you see how the slime-ball AG and scumbag IGP work? And these two slithery creatures are the same slime-balls and scumbags who fabricated evidence in 1998 that resulted in Anwar having to spend six years in jail. And am I committing an act of sedition and criminal defamation in saying this? I certainly hope so. And, while we are at it, why not I commit yet another ‘crime’? I am going to accuse the AG and IGP of fabricating evidence and of intimidating witnesses. You see, they asked a certain doctor from a certain hospital to conduct an examination on Saiful. The doctor did so and he came out with a report that said there is no evidence Anwar had ever penetrated or sodomised the young man. The police then picked up the doctor and detained him for three days. As much as they tried to force him to change his report to implicate Anwar he refused to do so.

Until today, the doctor stands by his report that there is no evidence Anwar had sodomised Saiful. He knows he is going to be made to pay for this but he doesn’t care. He is not going to change his report and say that Anwar sodomised Saiful whatever they do to him. Exasperated, the police had to release Anwar on personal bond or police bail. The doctor refuses to doctor his report and neither does Anwar want to volunteer his new specimen. The ‘evidence’ against Anwar is no good. They now need to look for another way to ‘prove’ that Anwar sodomised Saiful. In the meantime, let us see if the AG will be making another police report against me and whether the IGP is going to arrest me and charge me in court for sedition and criminal defamation for this latest allegation of mine. Hey, I already face four charges of sedition and criminal defamation. What are another two or three charges? The important thing is not whether I get sent to jail or not. What is important is that the world is told that they are attempting, yet again, to fabricate evidence against Anwar Ibrahim. And that is worth going to jail for.

Here's what Anwar got say...............

"Where on earth do we have a case where the Minister of Health, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Home Affairs Minister and the Prime Minister (making statements on a police case)? Everybody's coming in!" he said.

"It is the vulnerability of a (single) citizen against the might of the entire government."

Riled up when asked about his reservations on giving a DNA sample to the police, Anwar questioned whether all accusations of sexual offence lead to an immediate DNA test.

"I haven't (even) seen the report (against me). What is the issue? What is the claim? What is the evidence? Why is it in this case, a DNA sample is being asked for (immediately)?

"Why don't you ask all the others (against whom such accusations have been) alleged? Why are their samples not asked? Why the assault, the ambush and arrest? Why dump me into a cell?

"These are the questions that have to be raised. There is a pattern here to demonise and intimidate me," he said.

Unlike other criminal cases, Anwar added, the burden of proof had been stacked against him instead of being placed on his accuser.

"The burden of proof is on them to prove (my guilt). It's not for me to prove (my innocence)," he said.

Din Merican says...............

Dear All,

See what this government can do very well. They can deceive, lie and fabricate. Yet, they cannot stop a man whose time has come to lead our country to better times. Repression comes at a time when a regime led by idiots savants is about to meet its ignominious end. Before it was a badly soiled mattress from some prison and now it is purportedly Saiful’s underpants. What a joke.

You can go to the Sungai Buloh Remand Center and get litres of semen, visit Globe Silk Store to buy a heavily discounted underpants of Saiful’s size, soil it with semen, get the Chemistry Department to say it is Anwar’s, entertain the Department Head and his staff to a rm25,000 dinner plus entertainment by a local dangdut band and dance, and then announce to the Malaysian public with the help of the mainstream media (Utusan Malaysia, NST, the Star, etc) that the government has indisputable evidence that Saiful was sodomised by Anwar. Walla! A political checkmate? No, hubris. Not that easy.

This is because the Malaysian public thinks Anwar is innocent and the Government is a dirty liar. What will these people with power do next? They will arrest and charge Raja Petra. Or they will declare him as a danger to our national security and take him in under ISA. This will be the opportunity for Syed Hamid to flex his ministerial muscle.

Deputy IGP and Sivarasa says...............

Deputy IGP, Ismail said the police were acting within the law by not giving Anwar a copy of the police report.

“Whatever we do is strictly in accordance with the law. Section 51A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) clearly stipulates that,” he told the Star.

However, Sivarasa said section 51A does not apply to Anwar’s case as it referred to the handing over documents when a person has already been charged.

“Section 51A of the CPC as referred to by the deputy IGP is totally not applicable at this stage. The deputy IGP should go back to his basic legal books. Section 51A only applicable if a person has been charged in court and the documents to be delivered before the commencement of a trial.”

Sivarasa said it was “elementary natural justice” that an accused “should have sight of the accusation, before being called upon to explain anything”.

“How can anyone called in to give a police statement in relation to a criminal investigation know what exactly the police are investigating and be obliged to answer questions without having a copy or even sight of the initial documents that sparks off the relevant criminal investigation?

“How is a person under a police questioning to know whether the answer he is giving will incriminate him unless he first knows exactly what offence he is being accused of or the police are investigating?”

Thats the reason why the sudden arrest ala hollywood, the demand for Anwar's DNA from various personnels including Pat Lah, coz they could not complete the script.................

cheers.

AG and IGP will not be involved but the system stinks.........

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan and Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail will play no part in the investigation of an allegation of sodomy against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said both Musa and Abdul Gani would have no role whatsoever in the case.He added that police officers involved in the case would also not refer to their boss or the A-G in the course of their investigation.

Asked if Musa and Abdul Gani should be suspended pending the completion of the investigation, Abdullah said: "They will not be involved at all in the case and the investigating officers will also not refer to them. Therefore, I do not see any reason why they should be suspended."
- New Straits Times online, 20/7/2008

The AG aka the Public Prosecutor, certainly his position and role is provided for in the Federal Constitution, and also the other laws of the land and nobody can prevent him exercising his duties and responsibilities. Not even the PM. So is the IGP too.

While Abdul Gani Patail is still the AG, and Musa Hassan remains the IGP, Pat Lah cannot ask them to relinquish their responsibilities, duties and powers in law... Asking them to do it would be wrong...

Pat Lah must remove the AG and the IGP and appoint new ones, like what the gomen did to the DG and the Deputy DG of Immigration. They are still being investigated and still not been charged in court yet, a new DG and Deputy DG have been appointed.

It makes no sense for Pat Lah to claim that the police involved in the case would not refer to IGP Musa Hassan or AG Abdul Gani during the investigation. Everybody knows all along under UMNO/BN gomen, the AG, Police,Armed Forces, judiciary and civil services are part and parcel of the UMNO/BN regime.

It makes no different whether the IGP and AG are involved in the investigation or not because the entire Judiciary, Police force and the AG chambers is tainted with the gomen influence.

You cant thrust anyone anymore now....................

cheers.

The Anwar and Raja Petra fiasco meant to intimidate the public......

Before the Anwar fiasco, even settled, Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Kamarudin, was arrested and charged for defaming DPM Najib’s wife, Rosmah Mansor, and two others.

Anwar has gone through the mill, so as to speak, and so has Raja Petra. In some way they become folk heroes for those who have not even stepped into a police station to write a police report, let alone getting involved in some criminal activity.

When people like Anwar and Raja Petra get arrested and are charged, mindful of the authority the police and courts have over an individual, the general feeling is that the police and the courts defy definition. In other words by punishing Anwar and Raja Petra thru harassment, intimidation and arrest by ski mask special units is a kind of show-off as to make the general public frightened of the police and the courts.

Raja Petra's lawyer Amarjit Singh Sidhu alluded that the charge was defective because Raja Petra was initially investigated under Section 203 of the Penal Code for giving false information relating to an offence committed. This isnt right because it catches the lawyers and the accused off-guard. When we found out it was Section 500 instead of 203, we were shocked,” he told reporters.

According to Section 500 of the Penal Code, “whoever defames another shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both”.

Surely the Police and the Attorney chambers should know which is which. But if it is just to put Raja Petra behind bars, then it really sucks. Or maybe to them it does not matter how or what, as long as they make sure Raja Petra is behind bars. Sure enough it looks more like a cruel joke, but not for the first lady in waiting.........

The message that they are sending is its a crime if you dont support the BN gomen and its wrong to make a report or pen a SD on any misdemeanour of any BN leaders.

cheers.

Anwar Ibrahim nafi kenyataan HKL.........

Anwar Ibrahim was never asked to strip naked for his medical examination at the Kuala Lumpur hospital (HKL) last Wednesday night. HKL director Datuk Dr Zaininah Mohd Zain, in a statement today, said two medical experts had explained in detail the medical examination procedures to Anwar who was accompanied by his lawyers.

"The medical examination was conducted by the two specialists only after receiving a written consent from Datuk Seri Anwar," she said.

Anwar berkata beliau hairan bagaimana pihak Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) mengeluarkan kenyataan bahawa beliau tidak pernah ditelanjangkan ketika menjalani pemeriksaaan perubatan itu.

"Hospital (Kuala Lumpur) kata saya tak ditelanjang, (tapi) dia suruh buka baju, buka seluar, kemudian suruh buka seluar dalam, itu bukan namanya telanjang atau ada nama lain, bogel bukan telanjang," katanya.

Anwar menegaskan demikian dalam ceramahnya di kampung Razali, dekat Kuantan, malam tadi, demikian menurut laporan Bernama.

TNB and the IPPs..................

When Information Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek and former deputy prime minister and de-facto opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim took the stage for the recent debate, the name of former Tenaga Nasional Berhad's (TNB) executice chairman was mentioned. Anwar said that Tan Sri Ani Arope resigned because he was not in favour of the government' s stand on the independent power producers (IPPs). Tan Sri Ani was TNB's executive chairman from 1990 to 1996 and it was during his tenure that the first generation IPPs were created.

Tan Sri Ani is known for his honest and no nonsence way of doing things and former high court judge, Dato Syed Ahmad Idid justly described the Penang-born scientist as follows:

"Tan Sri Ani was and remains an upright person and had to suffer because he did not agree with the IPPs getting away with too much ... and consumers have to pay."

"I am not anti-IPPs per se. It is good to have other players but it has to be done fairly. It has to be fair to the consumers, not just TNB, which is a conduit. TNB, because of the electricity hike, has been treated as the whipping boy. The focus should be on the consumers," Tan Sri Ani once told StarBiz in an exclusive interview. When the generous terms were given to the IPPs, Tan Sri Ani said all of his other peers around the world asked what was happening. They said they would like to have a share in the IPPs. They said (the contracts to IPPs) were "too darn generous."

When Anwar touched on the IPPs, Shabery Cheek replied that it was implemented when Anwar was Finance Minister. It is interesting to note that in the StarBiz interview, Tan Sri Ani was asked "How was the Malaysian model of IPPs created?" and he answered "Ask our Prime Minister."

He was also asked "How was the process of negotiations with IPPs conducted?" and he replied: "There was no negotiaion. Absolutely none. Instead of talking directly with the IPPs, TNB was sitting down with the EPU (Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister's Department). And we were harassed, humiliated and talked down every time we went there. After that, my team was disappointed. The EPU just gave us the terms and asked us to agree. I said no way I would."

Tan Sri Ani also said the pricing and terms of the contracts was all fixed up. "This is the price, this is the capcity charge and this is the number of years. They said you just take it and I refused to sign the contracts. And then, I was put out to pasture."

He described the terms agreed by the EPU as "grossly unfair.

" At 16 sen per unit (kWh) and with the take or pay situation, actully it was 23 sen per unit. With 23 sen, plus transmission and distribution costs, TNB would have had to charge the consumer no less than 30 sen per unit. If mix with TNB's cost, Tan Sri Ani said the cost would come down but that was at TNB's expense because the utility company were producing electricity at 8 sen a unit. "We can deliver electricity at 17 sen per unit," he said.

Tan Sri Ani also said that "nobody produces excess electricity like Malaysia and it goes to waste because there are no batteries to store that power. TNB only needs a reserve of 15 per cent to 20 per cent."

In the interview, Tan sri Ani told StarBiz that he felt sick of the process of awarding the IPP contracts. "It was morally wrong and not fair. If it is legal and not fair, I will not do it. If it is fair and illegal, I still won't do it. It has to be legal and fair. We work for the consumers, workers and shareholders. TNB is morally obliged to these three, but the consumers come first, otherwise we won't be around. It is then the workers and the shareholders."

Ani: TNB got a raw deal.........

To understand the privatisation of the power generation sector, one needs to take a look back in history to understand that the country's IPPs came about as a result of the Government's effort to address the issue of stable power supply after the landmark 1992 blackout. Lending a historical perspective to the issue of IPPs is former TNB executive chairman Tan Sri Ani Arope, who headed the national utility from 1990 to 1996. It was during his tenure that the first generation IPPs were created. StarBiz deputy news editor JAGDEV SINGH SIDHU has the story.

STARBIZ(SB): What happened after the first major blackout in 1992?
Ani: TNB had plans in place to pump out more energy by building plants in Pasir Gudang and Paka. Financing was no problem and our credit standing was very high. We had the land acquired and were ready to move in and plant up. But we were told by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) that it had its own plans. We cautioned EPU that if those plants, which would take two years to complete, were not built, Malaysia would get another major blackout. When you have a place with 250 engineers, it does not make sense to say (the blackout) is because of poor planning. But the EPU said it had its own plans and we were told to surrender the land. Then it surfaced that it wanted to privatise the power plants. I am not anti-IPPs per se. It is good to have other players but it has to be done fairly. It has to be fair to the consumers, not just TNB, which is a conduit. TNB, because of the electricity hike, has been treated as the whipping boy. The focus should be on the consumers. When the generous terms were given to the IPPs, all my other peers around the world asked what was happening. They said they would like to have a share in the IPPs. They said (the contracts to IPPs) were “too darn generous.'' (The terms) were grossly one sided.

SB: How was the Malaysian model of IPPs created?
Ani: Ask our previous Prime Minister.

SB: How was the process of negotiations with IPPs conducted?
Ani: There was no negotiation. Absolutely none. Instead of talking directly with the IPPs, TNB was sitting down with the EPU. And we were harassed, humiliated and talked down every time we went there. After that, my team was disappointed. The EPU just gave us the terms and asked us to agree. I said no way I would.

SB: What about the pricing and terms of the contracts?
Ani: It was all fixed up. (They said) this is the price, this is the capacity charge and this is the number of years. They said you just take it and I refused to sign the contracts. And then, I was put out to pasture.

SB: Why did you disagree with the terms?
It was grossly unfair. At 16 sen per unit (kWh) and with the take or pay situation, actually it was 23 sen per unit. With 23 sen, plus transmission and distribution costs, TNB would have had to charge the consumer no less than 30 sen per unit. If mixed with TNB’s cost, the cost would come down but that was at our expense because we were producing electricity at 8 sen a unit. We can deliver electricity at 17 sen per unit. And then there is a capacity charge. Nobody produces excess electricity like Malaysia and it goes to waste because there are no batteries to store that power. TNB only needs a reserve of 15% to 20%.

SB: TNB was producing electricity at 8 sen a unit. What should have been the right price for IPPs to sell to TNB?
Ani: Twelve sen. They could not beat our price as we had already amortised our assets. But for the new guys or even ourselves to come in then and (having) to meet interest charges and to make a small profit, it would cost 12 sen a unit. This was what we told one IPP. The IPP agreed to it but the EPU said that unless the IPP raised its price, the contract would not be given to the IPP. So he got it for 14 sen per unit. And then, there is the cost pass-through. If the price of fuel went up, the extra cost is passed through to us. And in other words, it is passed on to the consumer.

SB: Under what terms would you have agreed to the IPPs being set up?
Ani: Have an independent buyer for the electricity and in one way, let TNB come in and bid for the plants. Get other people to come in. Get a commission to see (to) our needs and TNB can be one of the producers. It is argued that the IPPs' contracts are too lucrative but there are IPPs in other countries in Africa or Asia that have better terms. There are IPPs charging 50 to 60 US cents per unit but they use diesel. Take our own situation and compare oranges with oranges. Then it is fair. Do whatever is fair.

SB: How were you affected by the process of awarding the IPP contracts?
Ani: I felt sick. It was morally wrong and not fair. If it is legal and not fair, I will not do it. If it is fair and illegal, I still won’t do it. It has to be legal and fair. We work for the consumers, workers and shareholders. TNB is morally obligated to these three, but the consumers come first, otherwise we won’t be around. It is then the workers and the shareholders. When I said that, they said ‘Dia ingat bapak dia-punya’ (He thinks this is his father’s company). This job is an amanah (trust). You are entrusted with this responsibility and you carry it out to the best of your ability. I do not want somebody to come and urinate on my grave. In the Malay culture, that is about the worst insult they can do to a man.

SB: Do you think you did the right thing by not signing the agreements?
Ani: Absolutely.

SB: How should a contract with the IPPs work?
Ani: In Australia, they call the IPPs and ask “what is your price''. They will pay the IPP that offers the best price. What they could have done is to throw the net wider and ask everybody (if they) are good, it would be awarded to them. But in our case, the contracts were ready-made and we were asked to sign.

SB: What is your view on the impending renegotiation with the IPPs?
Ani: It has to be legal and fair. If we were to negotiate unfairly and illegally, the whole world will be looking at us and they will say “don’t sign anything with Malaysia because if things go against the country, the Government will void the agreement”. We have to look at this very carefully. But what we can do now is to say, can we bring down the capacity charge. Anything above the 15% reserve margin, we will call for bids. The second thing is that the IPPs would have by now paid up their whole capital investments in their plants and it is all gravy (or profit) from now. Could we not bring this down a bit? Instead of paying a small amount to (a special fund), why not increase the (payment) for future planting up? In that manner, we can control the price of electricity. Otherwise, it's going to escalate.

SB: Who in your opinion should get involved in the negotiations?
Ani: The consumers should be there. For me, you should get a very independent body. Then, you can bring in TNB, the IPPs, the consumers and Energy Commission. But these bodies and consumers should not make a judgment.

Nampaknya gomen UMNO/BN setuju cadangan Anwar.......

Tentang Rezab Bekalan Tenaga Letrik

Selepas debat gomen UMNO/BN kata................

Tentang dividen khas Petronas.

Selepas debat apa gomen UMNO/BN kata..........
