PKR leaders - Cops never called us on NFC...

azlanPolice have yet to question several key opposition figures over their expose on the alleged mishandling of funds to manage the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC).

PKR leaders Saifuddin Nasution, Zuraida Kamaruddin and Rafizi Ramli told Malaysiakini that the cops have yet to quiz them on any of the allegation made against NFC, which was appointed to manage the National Feedlot Centre, a major livestock farming and beef production facility.

"It is quite a conundrum... they haven’t approached us on any of the issues," said PKR’s strategy director Rafizi.

The opposition has been harping on NFC’s operations since it had drawn negative comments in the 2010 Auditor-General’s Report, which attributed that the project was “in a mess”.

Among the accusations made by PKR were that part of the loan was used to benefit a federal minister's family members.

NONERafizi (left in photo, with Zuraida) claimed that those behind NFC had abused RM181 million of the RM250 million government loan to purchase multi-million ringgit condominiums, a luxury car, prime land and holiday trips.

PKR Women’s wing chief and Ampang parliamentarian Zuraida also acknowledged that the police have not approached her on the series of allegations, despite having concluded in preliminary findings that there was no criminal breach of trust in NFC’s management.

"The police haven’t contacted me till today! No statement (taken) from me," added the party’s secretary-general and Machang MP Saifuddin.

Deputy inspector- general of police Khalid Abu Bakar had stated last week that statements from 74 people have been recorded, including NFC executive chairperson Mohamad Salleh Ismail, who is husband of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

Khalid had said that the early stages of their investigations have shown no breach of trust or irregularity in the handling of funds for NFC.

Beside police investigations, Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has also initiated a separate probe and discovered that NFC was issued that RM250 million loan even before a contract with the government was inked.

Although PAC has yet to complete it investigation, the committee demanded an urgent review of the government’s financial management system.

Polis tak pernah soal kami, kata pemimpin PKR

Mungkin 74 orang yang disoal siasat polis adalah kaum kroni penyamun.

Jadi tugas polis mudah saja.

Mereka semua jawab ...TIADA!!!

Sebab tu Timbalan KPN kata tiada ada unsur2 penipuan, salah guna kuasa atau penyelewengan....

cheers.
