Malaysiakini: Saya nak tanya soalan. Pasal van itu.

Suhaimi:
Kenapa?

Malaysiakini: Adakah ia merupakan satu salahguna...

Suhaimi:
Bukan hari ini. (Tanya) lain kali, lain kali.

Malaysiakini: Hari apa? Lain kali? Saya nak tulis pasal ni.

Suhaimi:
Mana saya tahu? You ada mata, bacalah.

"Jangan buat kacau!".-malaysiakini

Guna aset DBKL, Nong Chik tak faham ‘kerajaan sementara’...

Menteri Kesejahteraan Bandar & Wilayah, Datuk Raja Nong Chik Zainal Abidin memperkuda agensi kerajaan termasuk Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) untuk kempen politik Umno BN, kata Naib Presiden KEADILAN, Nurul Izzah Anwar.

“Dia masih lagi gunakan kenderaan rasmi kerajaan, malah Jabatan Penguatkuasaan DBKL dah jadi bilik gerakan Barisan Nasional.

– SDQ,keadilandaily

BN chieftain threatens to beat-up journalist for asking...

An UMNO leader in the Batu constituency yesterday threatened to assault a reporter when the latter attempted to ask him over the use of a government department van for BN's campaign there.

"Hey! You are lucky I haven’t smacked you yet," snapped an irate Barisan Nasional leader Suhaimi Yahya (pic) to Malaysiakini's Koh Jun Lin.

Koh had been referred to Suhaimi by BN Batu secretary Rodzi Tajudin to ask about the use of government department vehicles for the launching of the BN's command centre yesterday. One of the vehicles was a SUV equipped with loudspeakers on its roof to broadcast speeches during the event.

Soon after Rodzi's threat, another man wearing a BN shirt warned Koh to leave. "Don’t cause trouble...Don’t you dare look back," the portal quoted him as telling.

The use of public-funded government machinery to aide BN's campaign, especially after the dissolution of parliament, has been frequently cited by observers as a violation of BN's current status as a caretaker government.

Prior to this, the Election Commission said it has no power to introduce guidelines on caretaker government to prevent misuse of public funds.

“If EC does have the power on this matter, it doesn’t mean that they will follow,” said EC chief Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof.-harakahdaily

Penang caretaker gov't returns official cars...

The caretaker Penang government has handed over the keys of its official cars to state secretary Farizan Darus, in accordance with the pledge of integrity.

NONECaretaker Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng (left) handed over the keys of his car and those belonging to his deputies Mansor Othman and P Ramasamy, as well as those used by his state executive councillors.

"The official cars should not be misused for our own personal use or for the party and should be used only for state government purposes," Lim told a press conference today.

"This is the integrity held by the state administration although we are now only the caretaker government.

"The same goes for our drivers who will only work according to office hours and when we are attending official state functons."

Lim also reminded his state lawmakers and administrators not to use the official cars for the election campaign, which has been in full swing ever since the the state legislative assembly was dissolved on April 5.

NONEThe dissolution came two days after Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak announced the dissolution of Parliament on April 3.

Meanwhile, Lim criticised the BN for not spelling out the measures to eradicate corruption in its manifesto, which Najib launched last Saturday night.

He added that some of the measures to address corrupt practices include the declaration of assets and the implementation of an open tender system.

“The state has practised these two measures since 2008 and it was proven to be effective when our anti-corruption campaign was praised by Transparency International,” Lim said.-malaysiakini
