– tmi

I accept your challenge, Liong Sik tells Najib...

Former MCA President Ling Liong Sik has refused to apologise to Prime Minister Najib Razak for accusing him of having “taken the people’s money.”

In a press statement today, Ling said he had decided to accept Najib’s “challenge” to a court battle.

He said he was “extremely surprised” when he received a letter from Najib’s lawyers, which demanded a retraction, an unequivocal apology and reasonable compensation. The letter also threatened a defamation suit.

Ling said it also surprised him that the contents of the letter were “splashed all over the media.”

“Thus, I feel compelled to issue this press statement,” he said. “I say to the Prime Minister, if you choose to sue me, I will defend myself.

“In all humility, I accept your challenge.

“I look forward to seeing the Prime Minister take the witness stand, as no doubt he would do if he says his reputation is at stake.”

He said he would not apologise and would continue to stand by what he said.

Ling on Saturday publicly called for Najib’s removal from his position as Prime Minister.

He claimed that Najib had “taken the people’s money and put it in his own personal accounts.” - fmt

The Conference of Rulers has decreed that the probe into 1MDB be completed as soon as possible and the wrongdoers, if any, be punished.

"The findings of this probe must be reported in full and transparently so the people can be convinced of the government's sincerity that it would never hide the facts and the truth.

"Failure to give an explanation and satisfactory answers may cause a confidence crisis," read the sultans' statement issued by the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal, Syed Danial Syed Ahmad.

The following points raised by the DYMM Raja-Raja Melayu are very relevant (in my view):

 1.  Menyelesaikan secepat mungkin siasatan ..1MDB  - surely the Raja-Raja raised this issue because the siasatan about the 1MDB is now almost dead. The Task Force is dead. The PAC investigation is dead.    And how can the Task force involve people who are also involved with 1MDB? Isnt that an obvious conflict of the crooks ?

Here is a general question : can a friend of a thief investigate the thief?

For the first time in the history of Malaysia, and in the history of the Guinness Book of Records, the investigators into the 1MDB were arrested.

For the first time in the history of Malaysia and the history of the Guinnes Book of Records the whistleblowers of the greatest financial scandal in history were also  arrested.

The  pihak-pihak yang terlibat  were not arrested. They got away scot free.

Two are believed to be hiding in Indonesia, the Kway Teow seller is believed to be hiding in Taiwan, one girl whose face appeared on a Wanted Poster issued by Bank Negara is living in an RM20 Million super condo on East 22nd Street in New York.

These are the pihak-pihak yang terlibat  (among many, many others) who all got away scot free who are the subject of that comment by the DYMM Raja-Raja Melayu.

This is because so far there has been an enormous amount of lying, cheating and "ops kabberup" by too many crooks.  That Open Letter by Dato Abdul Hamid Bador addresses this issue quite concisely.

4.   Then the DYMM Raja-Raja say :  "badan-badan penguatkuasaan serta institusi-institusi kawal selia seperti Polis Diraja Malaysia, Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah, Bank Negara, Jabatan Peguam Negara dan Badan kehakiman, begitu juga badan-badan serta institusi-institusi kerajaan yang berkaitan hendaklah menyempurnakan amanah Ilahi dan kepercayaan rakyat secara telus, berkredibiliti dan berintegriti."

Soalannya kenapa pula DYMM Raja-Raja tidak menyebut Jabatan Bomba, Jabatan Kaji Cuaca, Jabatan Pertanian atau Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat?

Kenapa titah DYMM Raja-Raja khusus ditujukan kepada PDRM, SPRM, BNM, Jabatan Peguam Negara, Badan Kehakiman and the institusi berkaitan (like pejabat KSN) and so on? These are the jabatan that are directly involved with the 1MDB investigations.

Soalannya because the Police, SPRM, BNM, AG, badan kehakiman, KSN etc HAVE BEEN compromised or because they have NOT been compromised?

So please ketuk kepala tanya otak ok. Kalau ada otak. Kalau tak ada otak tak apa lah. Nak buat macam mana kalau tak ada otak?

I mean if the  Police, SPRM, BNM, AG, badan kehakiman, KSN etc have NOT been compromised   then why should the DYMM Raja-Raja say  :

"..badan-badan serta institusi-institusi kerajaan yang berkaitan hendaklah menyempurnakan amanah Ilahi dan kepercayaan rakyat secara telus, berkredibiliti dan berintegriti."

The way I understand this titah DYMM Raja-Raja it means that the Police, SPRM, BNM, AG, badan kehakiman, KSN etc have lost their ketelusan, they have lost their kredibiliti and they have lost their integriti.

Jabatan lain seperti Jabatan Bomba, Jabatan Kaji Cuaca, Jabatan Pertanian dan Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat tidak ada masalah. That is why the DYMM Raja-Raja Melayu did not mention them.

This titah di Raja by the Majlis Raja-Raja is unprecedented. For the first time the counsel of the DYMM Majlis Raja-Raja Melayu has been devoted almost exclusively towards a financial scandal involving the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

This is also the first time the Prime Minister is implicated in a criminal investigation by the FBI.

What a shame. Malu...

Conclusion : If anyone who questions this 1MDB scandal is deemed an "Enemy of the State" then is the list getting longer ?

The vast majority of decent people know that the PM is involved beyond his neck in this scandal.

How he got that RM2.6 Billion into his personal account has not been explained.

Where that RM2.6 Billion has gone to now has also NOT been explained.

Is it parked in any of those accounts that have been frozen in Singapore, Switzerland etc? We dont know.

How did the PM's wife, who complained that she had to ask her husband for money to pay her hairdresser RM1200 for a hairdo, end up with RM2.0 million in just one of her accounts is also not explained.

It appears that the DYMM Raja-Raja Melayu are also having serious doubts about these same questions. The list is getting longer indeed.- syedsoutsidethebox

A picture is worth a thousand words...

Or is probably worth perhaps more than RM2.6 billion...

cheers.
