PKR musnt be too complacent after 4 victories.........

Penang CM Lim Guan Eng is confident Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) will win the Penanti by-election on May 31.Declaring full support for PKR candidate Mansor Othman, who is trying his luck for the fourth time to win a seat in Penang, Lim said the seat was for PKR's taking.

"We are confident of a win and the DAP will work with the other Pakatan Rakyat (PR) parties to ensure there is full support for Mansor in this b
y-election.

"The DAP's election machinery will descend upon Penanti with full force," Lim said at a press conference.

On Tuesday night, after he was endorsed as the candidate, Mansor had also expressed confidence in winning the seat, even though his previous attempts had been disastrous.Lim was also asked if the presence of former DCM1 Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin would boost PKR's chances in Penanti.

"His presence will surely help and not hurt PKR's chances," Lim added.

Fairus was present at the Yayasan Aman on Tuesday night with Anwar when Mansor was announced as the candidate and had pledged to campaign to ensure PKR's victory. His presence allayed rumours that he was jumping ship to Umno

Meanwhile, the Permatang Pauh PAS division has decided to freeze its election machinery instead of getting ready for the polls. The Penanti state-seat falls under the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constit
uency.

Previously Permatang Pauh PAS had indicated that it wanted to contest in the by-election and its decision now to put its election machinery on a ‘rest-mode' would surely prompt speculations that all is not well in Penanti.

He said that the decision was made unanimously at a division meeting last night and would be in place until further decision made by the division. He also said the decision did not mean that the party would not be helping PKR for the by-election.

--------------------

PKR musnt be too complacent after its winning streak in four by-elections.Instead PKR must work really hard and make sure that they win with a bigger majority.

Whether UMNO will participate in this by-election is still a mystery. Though,Najib had suggested that UMNO stay away from this by-
election on the pretext that its a waste of time and public funds, but UMNO's god-father,the senile old man Mahathir thinks otherwise. Mahathir, wants UMNO to contest the by-election, saying it would be bad for the morale of party workers if PKR were granted a free victory.

If UMNO decides to contest, Penanti folks will be a happy lot, cause UMNO will be throwing millions to try and win an election in a difficult seat.

On another note PAS as a PR partner should work together,
rather than wanting to put up a candidate in Penanti. How can PAS help the PKR candidate when it has its own candidate vying for the seat?

PKR was all out helping Nizar to wrest the Bukit Gantang seat with a bigger majority. So it's a pay back time. Lets work together to ensure Dr.Mansor success.

cheers.
