Perak - another round of wayang kulit.......

One thing that Najib hasnt done after plotting the downfall of the PR gomen in Perak, is that he has not been able to buy the Speaker of DUN Perak, V Sivakumar.

The speaker V. Sivakumar has just suspended MB Zambry Abdul Kadir and his 6 excos members from attending the state legislative assembly for a period of 18 months and 12 months respectively – for contempt of the assembly.

How could Najib miss out this important aspect of the conniving scheme is rather puzzling? But one thing is sure that Najib and the federal gomen will have restless night trying to rescript the plot so as to avoid a snap election in Perak.

With the MB and his 6 excos suspended, the political equation has changed, which means that PR has regained its majority of 28 seats against BN’s 24 seats

The question now, will PR seeks an audience with Sultan of Perak to dissolve the assembly or MB Zambry will have the honour to do it? This impasse has a negative impact on the state and its people. Just hold snap polls to end this deadlock. However UMNO/BN is so intent on avoiding another electoral battle.

However, the gomen will find an even much faster way to rule the state indefinitely by means of declaring a state of emergency like it did in Kelantan in the 1978. But, hopefully it wont just happen yet.

According to Pat Lah, the move to suspend Perak MB Zambry Abdul Kadir and his 6 excos is tantamount to disrespecting the sultan's decision. "The speaker cannot do it (suspend the seven) - the menteri besar and excos were appointed by the sultan legally".
“This (the suspension) is a plot. It is a plot with bad intention to oust the BN government in Perak" he added.
MCPX"The speaker cannot do it (suspend the seven) - the MB and excos were appointed by the Sultan legally. This kind of action can be regarded as not respecting the sultan's decision.

Helloooooo......what about disrespecting the rakyat's decision? It was the rakyat who chose PR over BN to rule Perak, but Najib and his bag full of $$$ created pandemonium in the administration. Who initiated the plot? Who hijacked the PR wakil rakyat to Pekan and Putrajaya?

Meanwhile, Perak MB Zambry Abdul Kadir said he and the 6 exco members will take “follow-up” actions following their suspensions by the state legislative assembly’s Rights and Privileges Committee.

He declined to say what the actions would be but said that the suspensions were made “in total disregard to the power of the Sultan of Perak to appoint the Menteri Besar and the executive council.”

One wonders why Zambry didnt think about any "follow-up" action when he was 'illegally' installed as the Perak MB?

What's next for UMNO/BN?

Pat Lah wants the MB to make a police report and ultimately bring the issue to court. But does these action provide an effective and definitive solution? Article 72 spells out the privileges of the all state legislative assemblies, whereby the validity of its proceedings cannot be questioned in court. Thus going back to the Perakians will be much of a better choice.

Meanwhile Zambry and his goons will invoke the name of Sultan by accusing PR disrespecting the sultan's decision and at the same time will be chanting the UMNO mantra of “Hidup Melayu!” Again UMNO/BN is dragging the Sultan for another round of their wayang kulit..........

It sad to see that everything that UMNO/BN touches turn to shit..........

Read here and here.

cheers.

‘When the Terengganu Sultan went against Umno, Pak Lah said it was unconstitutional. But now when the tables are turned in Perak, he says the opposition is disrespectful of royalty. Come on, PM. when will you grow up? Nak pencen dah!!’

This is truly hypocrisy of the highest order. When the Sultan of Terengganu decided to appoint an MB of his choice, this very man said it was unconstitutional. And if this is not enough, Umno members went on a demonstration and called the sultan names.

You can't have it both ways. When a ruling is made against UMNO by the royalty, you guys label the Sultan with all sorts of names. But when it comes to the opposition, you change your song entirely and try to act pro-royalty which you all are not.

You can fool some people some of the time, but certainly, you cannot fool all the people all the time.

I am neither a pro-PKR or UMNO but what the Perak people are trying to do is to get back their right to elect the government they want. It is as simple as that. Period.
