UMNO kasi warning DAP, mau 13 Mei lagi kah...

 

Flash mob kangkung oleh ADUN Machang Bubuk, Lee Khai Loon telah menimbulkan kemarahan ahli Umno dan sekutu mereka, yang mengadakan perhimpunan di Seberang Jaya membantah perbuatan Lee yang didakwa biadap terhadap pemimpin tertinggi negara.

Sekitar 600 orang, termasuk pemimpin Umno negeri, menghadiri perhimpunan tersebut, yang diadakan di hadapan Sunway Carnival Mall.

Terdahulu, kumpulan itu berarak dari gelanggang futsal yang berhampiran, yang terletak 1km dari pusat membeli-belah, sambil melaungkan  "Allahu Akbar " dan "Hidup Melayu".

Mereka juga membawa beberapa sepanduk yang menyifatkan perbuatan menghina PM macam menghina Melayu, ABCD - Asal Bukan Cina DAP dan DAP musuh Islam.

Sepanduk yang paling menarik berbunyi 'Kerana mulut pemimpin DAP, 13 Mei 1969 terjadi... Mahu lagi kaa? '

Kumpulan itu mendengar beberapa ucapan berapi-api selepas tiba di pintu masuk utama Sunway Carnival Mall.

Pemimpin yang menyampaikan ucapan termasuk MP Kepala Batas, Datuk Reezal Merican(pix,left);  Setiausaha Umno negeri yang juga ketua Umno Bukit Mertajam, Datuk Musa Sheikh Fadzir;  Ketua Pemuda Umno negeri, Rafizal Rahim dan bekas Ketua Pemuda negeri, Sheikh Hussein Mydin.

Bekas ketua KITA Kedah, Zamil Ibrahim dan Ketua Wira PERKASA negeri, Ridzuan Azudin turut hadir tetapi tidak berucap.

Setiausaha Umno Negeri Datuk Musa Sheikh Fadzir memberi amaran kepada Lee dan Pakatan Rakyat (PR) supaya tidak bermain dengan merendahkan pemimpin, agama Islam, polis dan institusi Melayu lain.

"Sekiranya kami hilang kesabaran jangan salahkan kami," katanya.

Ahli Parlimen Tasek Gelugor Datuk Shabudin Yahaya pula berkata tarian flash mob yang dianjurkan Lee itu tidak membantu menyelesaikan masalah.

Katanya gambar program parodi itu tersebar ke Timur Tengah di negara yang begitu menghormati Najib dan ia menyebabkan imej perdana menteri terjejas teruk.

UMNO demo bawa kepala lembu, demo tonggeng depan rumah org, demo kek tahi, demo pakaian dalam, semua ni tak menjatuhkan martabat Melayu & Islam? UMNO kangkung ni ingat bangsa lain tak marah ke? Dia buat boleh, bila orang buat demo Najib makan kangkung, tahu pulak marah...

Shabudin memberi amaran kepada Lee bahawa raja melayu merupakan simbol Islam dan perdana menteri merupakan pemimpin Melayu nombor satu di negara ini.

"Cara PR itu terlalu tidak masuk akal dan merendahkan pemimpin kami sekaligus telah mengancam lambang institusi Melayu dan Islam," katanya,

Dalam nada hampir berlawak beliau berkata "Anda juga turut makan kangkung dengan makanan 'Yong tao foo'.

"Malah kamu makan lebih dari kami maka kamu sebenarnya yang menerima manfaat apabila harga kangkung turun," katanya.

Ketua Umno Bahagian Permatang Pauh Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said berkata akan merancang himpunan membantah perbuatan Lee pada esok jam 10 pagi berdekatan dengan kawasan wakil pusat perkhidmatan PKR.

Bekas Ketua Pemuda Umno Dr Sheikh Hussein Mydin mengingatkan kepada PR bahawa Umno masih lagi memegang kerusi di Pulau Pinang dan akan menghentam Ketua Menteri Lim Guan Eng kerana enggan berdebat.

Beliau yang menekankan isu kalimah Allah berkata penganut kristian sepatutnya menyerah memberi perkataan itu kepada Muslim dan menggunakan ayat gantian lain.

Rabu lalu, Lee menganjurkan parodi flash mob kangkung disertai hampir 15 orang di Alma Bukit Mertajam sebagai bantahan kepada kenaikan harga barang.

Kumpulan tersebut berhimpun di tengah laluan trafik sesak sambil melakukan adegan menyumbat kangkung kedalam mulut ternganga replika Najib sambil diiringi lagu kanak-kanak yang diubahsuai iaitu Lenggang-Lenggang Kangkung.-malaysiakini/TMI

Does DAP want another May 13, ask Umno protesters...

A kangkung-theme flash mob by Machang Bubuk assemblyperson Lee Khai Loon has irked Umno members and their allies, prompting a rally in Seberang Jaya protesting Lee's allegedly rude behaviour against the country's top leader.

Around 600 people, including state Umno leaders, attended the rally, held in front of the Sunway Carnival Mall.

Earlier, the group, marched from a nearby futsal court, located 1km away from the mall, shouting "Allahu Akbar" and "Hidup Melayu" (Long live the Malays).

They also held banners carrying words such as ‘Insulting the PM is akin to insulting Malays’, ‘Penang Malays survive by eating kangkung’, ‘ABCD - Asal Bukan Cina DAP’ and ‘DAP is the enemy of Islam’.

The most striking banner - in blood red - screamed ‘Because of DAP's leaders mouth, May 13, 1969 happened... Want some more?’

The group listened to several fiery speeches after arriving at the main entrance of Sunway Carnival Mall.

Leaders who delivered speeches include Kepala Batas MP Reezal Merican (left), state Umno secretary and Bukit Mertajam chief Musa Sheikh Fadzir, state Umno Youth chief Rafizal Rahim and former Youth wing chief Sheikh Hussein Mydin.

Former Kedah Kita chief Zamil Ibrahim and Perkasa state Youth chief Ridzuan Azudin were also present but did not speak.

Permatang Pauh Umno chief Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said said they chose Sunway Carnival Mall as the finishing point for the protest as that is where DAP usually organise its activities.

He expressed hope that the mall management would not chase the group away or else, "We will have no choice but to enter the mall".

Zaidi warned Pakatan not to test the tolerance of the Malays and threatened to stage another protest at the night market near Lee's service centre in Alma, Bukit Mertajam, at 10am tomorrow.

Omar, in his speech, said he hoped there would be no more demonstrations, adding "We have done enough by lodging a police report and (holding the) rally."

"Next, we will ask people to go to Lee's house and tell him off," said Omar.

Reezal urged DAP leaders not to “hide behind” Lee (left), a first-time assemblyman who won his seat in a six-corner fight at the May 5 general election last year.

"What wrong has the PM done? He even came to Penang on Christmas day to celebrate although we are no longer the state government," he added.

Reezal challenged Lee to another kangkung-theme protest, vowing to "face off with him to show whose side the people are on".

"Even if you just give us one hour (notice), we will be there. Don't be afraid to face us."

‘Too stupid to understand PM’s speech’

Despite the fiery speeches, the rally proceeded smoothly, and after an hour of protest, the crowd dispersed.

Jamil however claimed a crowd of 3,000 people, but journalists at the rally estimated the protesters at about 600.

Jamil later read out a joint statement by the group, explaining they were angered by Pakatan Rakyat leaders, especially DAP, who were increasingly rude against Malays and Muslims.

However, he said that the same leaders are deaf and mute when it comes to the issue of usage of ‘Allah’ by non-Muslims, the ‘kucing kurap’ label hurled by DAP Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi against lower-ranking Penang Municipal Council officers.

"Kangkung has now become an issue, it looks like they do not have anything else to do," said Jamil.

"Are they (Pakatan leaders) so stupid that they cannot understand PM's speech?" he queried.

Jamil said Najib spoke at an event in Kemaman attended by "the middle class and ordinary people" and used the example of kangkung to explain that the price hikes were normal.

He added that it would not make sense for Najib to use examples such as the price of jets, luxury cars, superbikes or the recently purchased Mercedez-Benz by the Penang chief minister.

"They want to divert the attention of the public from issues such as the DAP central executive committee election, the Mercedez-Benz and Selangor PKR issue," he added.

"It is necessary for people to have opposition MPs but not those who lie to the people, inside and outside of Parliament," he stressed.- malaysiakini
