“Buat apa saya nak campur, saya tak mahu jadi macam kata pepatah ‘gajah sama gajah berlawan, pelanduk tersepit ditengah-tengah,” ujarnya. – Roketkini
Hadi halangan utama kabinet bayangan...
PAS Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, kata Setiausaha Agung DAP, Lim Guan Eng
"Tiada kabinet bayangan Pakatan. Tiada kabinet bayangan DAP, tiada kabinet bayangan PAS, tiada kabinet bayangan PKR," katanya.
"Saya bukan perdana menteri bayangan. Itu anda perlu tanya ketua pembangkang," katanya. - mk

Dr M confused between Penang and Putrajaya...
In keeping to the spirit of the book, I asked Dr Mahathir what are some of the key points he would say to the prime minister of Malaysia and to the chief minister of Penang if he were to write letters to them respectively.
His answer has since made headlines: Both should resign.
And the reason given: “We have different governments operating in different states. You have this antagonism thing and you fall back on racist sentiments and things like that.”
Dr Mahathir also said something about getting “someone who is well-versed in history” to lead.
Regime change has proven to serve Penang well, even by Dr Mahathir’s standard
Let me remind Dr Mahathir, that whether history or governance, at the personal level, 20 years ago when he was still prime minister, he made a remark that Penang is so dirty it should be called ‘Pulau Pinang Darul Sampah’ (Penang the Garbage State) instead of Penang the Pearl of the Orient. At that time, Penang was run by the same regime as the federal government.
Since 2008, under the leadership of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, the Pakatan government has managed to transform Penang from being what Dr Mahathir himself called Darul Sampah into the most liveable city in Malaysia and the 8th most liveable city in Asia.
It is clear that by Dr Mahathir’s own standard, Penang under Pakatan was radically transformed for the better.
Perhaps Dr Mahathir has not visited and explored Penang for a while now. I want to extend a personal invitation to him to explore the state he once despised as a garbage state and see for himself the positive changes brought by the Pakatan state government.
Penang’s successes widely recognised
In the last eight years since 2008, the Penang state government was praised by national and even international authorities, including federal government bodies, for its economic achievements, support for human rights, people’s welfare programmes, environmental care, governance, financial prudence and, most importantly, fierce anti-corruption policy.
This is in contrast to the string of criticism against the federal government on the account of bad management of the country from economic to racial issues. Dr Mahathir himself had recently launched a tirade against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and his government for corruption and financial mismanagement.
Did he forget that Lim Guan Eng went to jail for defending a Malay girl?
Finally, I want to reassure Dr. Mahathir by way of reminder that Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng will not “fall back on racists sentiments”.
Dr Mahathir had said that Malaysians easily forget, and perhaps he himself has forgotten how Lim Guan Eng lost everything, including his freedom, for standing up to defend a Malay girl who was allegedly raped by a senior leader of Umno, Mahathir’s own party.
Lim was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment in what seemed to be a most sickening perversion of justice, the victim instead of the perpetrator was incarcerated.
But if Lim Guan Eng was willing to go to jail to defend the rights and dignity of a poor Malay girl, Dr Mahathir has either judged wrongly or, worse, maliciously, when he said that Lim, like Najib will “fall back on racists sentiments”.
Is Dr Mahathir afraid of Pakatan because of its success?
It is unfortunate that Dr Mahathir chose to conflate the corrupt and incompetent federal government under Najib with the widely-acknowledged clean and competent Penang state government under Lim Guan Eng.
The question arises whether he did this out of fear, due to the success of Pakatan in a time when many, including Dr Mahathir himself, see Umno-Barisan Nasional as a failed regime. - Steven Sim,mk
1MDB - It Should Be "Forensic Audit" Ok, Not Just Any Audit...
I think he was talking to his supporters - who by the way are quite the morons and will swallow everything he shoots off.
By the way that same Indian guy has told people that all that money that left the country (to PetroSaudi etc) is GONE. It is never coming back. Dia sendiri cakap.
Back to the case, there seems to be some confusion over this 'audit' that everyone is looking forward to. Of course the crooks are also preparing the ground to confuse the public.
Everyone is talking about 'the audit', the 'Auditor General's Report' etc.
The PM has even tried to spin the 'audit' thingy by saying that 'two international auditors have already doe their audits'.
Implying what more can the Auditor General come up with? I think we have to watch the Auditor General very closely.
Please dont do just another 'audit' and then confirm to everyone what the two international audit firms have also 'confirmed'. That will not be fair. That will not be honest.
We need a forensic audit. By the way this is what Nazir Razak meant as well when he said get 'international audit firms' to audit the company's books. To be accurate, two international audit firms have indeed 'audited' their books. What we need is a forensic audit.
What is a forensic audit? Here is one definition :
"Forensic auditing is a specialization within the field of accounting, and forensic auditors often provide expert testimony during trial proceedings. Most large accounting firms have a forensic auditing department. A forensic audit is an examination and evaluation of a firm's or individual's financial information for use as evidence in court. A forensic audit can be conducted in order to prosecute a party for fraud, embezzlement or other financial claims."
A forensic audit does not only count the assets and the liabilities, the cashflows and the asset depreciations. It goes deeper and scrutinises the legalities behind the assets, liabilities, any fraudulent transactions, embezzlement etc.
Here is a simple example. A real case. Someone steals money from his company. He uses the money for a short while (maybe to invest in the stock market). Then he sells his shares and puts the money back in the company. No money was lost. When the auditors close the accounts, everything balances.
But the money was stolen, at a point in time. The theft did take place. A forensic audit may uncover the theft because at a point in time (pada suatu ketika) the money was taken out unlawfully.
So Mr Auditor General, we want a Forensic Audit. Has the Auditor General performed forensic audits before? Most certainly.
Please do not say you do not know how to perform a forensic audit.
So to all Bloggers, Media people, anyone who is interested - the key phrase is Forensic Audit.- syedsoutsidethebox
Btw, we’ll see how huge is this RM42 billion debt, a figure that even a graduate may have problems imagine, let alone an illiterate village folk. Najib's 'missing'RM42 billion can...
1. 35-Million Hair Washes Costing RM1,200 A Pop...
Najib Razak’s wife was the most people-caring First Lady in the world. As hubby was busy implementing GST, Auntie Rosy shared her agony about paying extra 6% for a RM1,200 hair wash. The RM42 billion debt can actually provides her with 35 million of such hair washes, more than enough to last till her last breath, even if she does it every hour. It’s also more than enough to pamper every single Malaysian citizen with such luxury
2. Every Single Malaysian Owes RM1,400 + Interests...
1MDB’s RM42 billion debt also means every single Malaysian, including newborn baby, “automatically” owes the country RM1,400, excluding interests. In layman terms, that’s more than the minimum wage of RM900 in the country. And if your family consists of 5 members, technically you owe Najib administration a total of RM7,000. Of course, the figure could balloon depending on interest rate quantum, which is still a secret today.
3. Feed 100,000 Poor With McDonald’s For 91-Years...
Depending on who you ask and how you define poverty, poor Malaysians are in the thousands or zero. Government of the day may tell you there’s zero poor people, when there’re thousands who have been reduced to eating just one meal a day. With RM42 billion, McDonald’s cheapest value meal – set McCountry with french fries and carbonated drink – could feed 100,000 poor people (lunch and dinner), everyday for 91-years.
4. Free “420,000 – 105,000″ PRIMA Houses
According to the official website of PRIMA Malaysia, the price of an affordable home to be supplied by PR1MA is around RM100,000 to RM400,000, which is open to applicants who have household incomes between RM2,500 to RM7,500 a month. If 1MDB’s RM42 billion debt was used to build these houses instead, there would be 420,000 to 105,000 free homes for eligible citizens, who otherwise are struggling to own shelters they can call home now.
5. 10-Years Free Internet For 2.2 million Users...
To date, more than 2.2 million residential and business customers nationwide are enjoying TM broadband services. Assuming all of them are using the top range Unifi package – VIP 20 – costing RM264 every month. The 1MDB’s RM42 billion can “sponsor” all the 2.2 million users for a whopping 6-years. For VIP 5 package (RM158/month), the government can subsidize all the users for a sweet 10-years.- financetwitter
cheers.
