“Don’t regard criminals as heroes” , says Syed Hamid, but...........
The people should not regard criminals as heroes and the police who enforce the law as demons, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said today.
Speaking in general terms, he said no one was above the law and action would be taken against those who broke the law, even if it was the police.
"We will not conceal the facts," he told reporters at his office.
Syed Hamid said he was not linking his statement with the death of car theft suspect A. Kugan who had died while in police custody at the Taipan police station in Subang Jaya on Jan 20.
"I am not pinpointing anybody," the minister stressed.
He explained that police had detained three suspects including Kugan following investigations into 19 cases of vehicle theft and armed robbery. The minister also asked the people not to politicise the investigation into Kugan's death, saying it would make the police task more difficult.
"They must talk of the case based on facts and not assumptions," he said.
Kugan, 22, who was detained on Jan 15 at the Taipan police station on suspicion of being involved in the theft of luxury cars in Sungai Chua, Kajang, had died while being questioned.
Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar had said a post-mortem found that Kugan had died due to fluid in his lungs but Kugan's family sought a second post-mortem, insisting that Kugan had died of injuries. Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail said later that Kugan's death had been classified as murder.
A second post-mortem on Kugan was done.
The police are investigating Kugan's death and the results are expected to be known soon.

“Don’t regard criminals as heroes” , says the Home Minister.
We dont idolised criminals. But, Syed Hamid must also remember that criminals are human being and not animals.
The issue here is, this human being died in police custody. Evidence showed that this criminal was ill-treated while under police care...........

Najib minta semua wakil rakyat BN Perak bersumpah.......
Poooooooorah.................

Bersediakah UMNO ditalkinkan.................

Nak buat apa lagi? Kalau nak rakyat respect dasar perjuangan itu sendiri kena ubah.Pemimpin-pemimpin UMNO semuanya jadi pak turut. Cakap bukan main sedap.

The "dacing" is no more balanced..........
Against the backdrop of the oil royalty $$$, the many promises, granted many projects, offering a lot of goodies, and in spite of giving so much hand out yet the voters rejected BN. Are the voters rejecting BN because its BN or because of Najib?
Having been defeated in two successive by-elections after the 2008 general election proves that the rakyat indeed rejects Pat Lah. Rejecting Pat Lah leadership also means spurning Najib's leadership too. If not for the massive cheating, vote buying and blackmailing the majority would be much bigger.
Najib is a hard working campaigners but his only setback was that he was peddling defective, tarnished, tainted goods and promises that he barely can keep. On top of that his image and reputation too has much been clouded with corruption and the bizarre murder of the Mongolian beauty- Altantuya Shaaribu. The ghost of the Mongolian beauty is still haunting him at every breath he takes; at every move he makes and every steps he takes and"she" will be watching him.....
Other factors that also contributed to UMNO's defeat are:
a. The voters were put off by the Umno’s candidate,Wan Ahmad Farid with a sullied image and badly plagued with so much baggage and negative perception that surrounds him. The Batu Burok shooting incident is one controversy that the rakyat feels he had something to do with. The rumour that his brother pocketed millions of the oil royalty money through projects such as the monsoon cup partly contributed to his downfall.
b. Umno and the BN have not changed their campaign tactics and styles. They monopolised the the mainstream media (TV, radio, papers) and used it to churn out government propaganda and demonize Pakatan Rakyat daily till polling day. Their political commentators were mostly pro-UMNO panjandrums who barks faithfully on behalf of their masters.
c. Harassment and intimidation using the police force is so common. The people are put off by the huge police presence, between 10,000 - 12,000 police personnels for a small by-election, ridiculous, dont you think so?
d. The UMNO and BN leaders are arrogant and they never accept the fact that UMNO and BN are no longer supreme.
e. The voters are more matured now. The younger generation are well educated and they can distinguish between right and wrong. They can influence their parents who are UMNO/BN supporters. A phone called or a SMS " jangan pangkah UMNO/BN", is suffice to do the damage. These youngsters are computer savvy and the blogs are their sources of information that they look to, instead of the mainstream media (TV, radio, papers).
f. The voters know now that development is the responsibility of the gomen of the day and the gomen's promise of development if elected are all bullshits to them. They know that the money that UMNO handed to them is their own money and it doesn’t belong to UMNO. Take it, but my vote is “rahsia”.
g. The "dacing" is no longer balanced. Terengganu is rich but the rakyat are poor.
h. UMNO is corrupt to the core and by having someone like Najib, with a tarnished reputation to lead UMNO, can only be mean the end. The 70 million worth of contract in a lucky draw fashion to class F contractors, the RM 12 million for the chinese community and the ground breaking ceremony for the 1000 new low-cost PPRT housing scheme done hurriedly contributed to UMNO's nonstarter. The rakyat are not fools. Why these are happening only during an election?
The dissatisfaction among the various UMNO factions also contribute to UMNO's poor showing in the PRK. Many UMNO leaders are not too happy with Najib who is about to inherit the PM post on a silver plate. The defeat can also be interpreted as a non endorsement of Najib's leadership.
Thus, my first question will be, is Najib fit to be our PM?
Anyway the KT voters spoke loud and clear........
cheers.

Anyway the KT voters spoke loud and clear........
cheers.

"In 10 months the 3rd humilation", says Ku Li........
Barisan Nasional has been humiliated at the polls for the third time in 10 months, said Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.
"I am full of admiration for the hardworking party members who toiled for two weeks on a local struggle. But we lost because of a national problem," he said in a statement.
"The rakyat rejected Umno in its present form and style and they rejected its leadership," he added in reference to BN's defeat to PAS in yesterday’s Kuala Terengganu by-election.
PAS candidate Wan Abdul Wahid Endut beat BN's Wan Ahmad Farid Salleh by a 2,631-vote majority to snatch the parliamentary seat away from the ruling coalition.
Tengku Razaleigh said despite the 'ringing signals' from the rakyat through March 8 and Permatang Pauh, "Umno either has not heard the call for fundamental change or is unable to respond to it".
"Money, machinery and incumbency could not trump the call for change. BN will lose and will in the end lose everything until we respond fully and sincerely," he warned.
'Sinking ship'
However, he said the response from the leadership yet again is that this "should not be interpreted as voters having spurned BN."
“Our leadership remains in denial. Loyal members of Umno and BN will feel they are on a sinking ship,” he added.
Tengku Razaleigh also pointed out that Umno has lost by a large majority in a 90 percent Malay constituency.
"We lost because of Malay votes in a state whose government we control. We threw the national resources of a party in federal power at this election and still we lost," he lamented.
According to the Umno veteran, the election results was more than a referendum on the leadership.
"It was a test of the relevance of Umno in its present form,” he said, adding: "If Umno is no longer relevant to the Malays, the BN formula is dead."
The Chinese, he said, will have no reason to support MCA and so on. The power-sharing, consensual bargain on which our political system has been based since independence is broken, he noted.
"There are serious implications to this. We have always claimed that social peace in Malaysia is built on this bargain.
"A party leadership in denial is unlikely to form a government with the realism and guts to face an economic meltdown that it also denies is happening. We are in uncharted waters with no one at the wheel," he said.
On another note, Dr.Mahathir believes BN/UMNO which has ruled for half a century will be dumped at the next elections if it continues to embrace corrupt leaders.
"I think Najib is not to be blamed for (the by-election loss) but if he continues to elect or support corrupt leaders then I think he will lose the next general election," Mahathir said.
"Leaders who are discredited, who are involved with corruption, are still being chosen as candidates," he said, without naming names.
"If they want to win, get rid of these people."

UMNO is a sinking ship and Ku Li do you want to be part of it? Even your bid for presidency of UMNO had been manipulated and denied by these greedy UMNO leaders.
Ku Li, please dont cry over spilled milk. You can still play an important role in the administration of this country. Come and join us after all you were once in the opposition.
Najib is very much to be blamed for he's part of the system that preaches the politics of patronage, favouritism and discrimination. In fact Najib and Rosmah are liabilities to UMNO but they are still in denial and would rather pat on each others back. Najib knows his days are numbered..........
cheers.

Mohd.Abdul Wahid Endut
Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh
PAS for all...............
First of all, Umno is paying up to RM1,000 per vote. And this is how the system works.
A voter goes into the polling station to collect his/her ballot paper. He/she then puts it in his/her pocket. He/she drops a dummy ballot paper into the ballot box. He/she comes out and ‘sells’ the ballot paper to an Umno goon waiting outside. He/she goes home RM1,000 the richer.
The blank ballot paper is marked Barisan Nasional. It is then given to the next voter. He/she collects his/her ballot paper and puts it in his/her pocket. He/she drops the already marked ballot paper into the ballot box. He/she comes out and hands over the blank ballot paper to the Umno goon waiting outside in exchange for RM1,000.
The process is repeated thousands of times all over Kuala Terengganu at the 38 polling stations.
“Nak Beri Salah, Tak Beri Kalah, Umno Jadi Serba-Salah, Jom Pakat Pangkah PAS.”
“Nak Beri Salah, Tak Beri Kalah, Umno Jadi Serba-Salah, Jom Pakat Pangkah PAS.”
Jangan Lupa Undi PAS..........
Depa pun bersetuju PAS pilihan yang tepat..............
UNDILAH PAS UNTUK PERUBAHAN..............

Has Wan Farid crossed the 50% mark.................
Deputy Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak says that BN’s Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh has more than 50-50 percent chances of winning. But every time he said that in the last few days he also added the caveat “if we continue to work hard”. Indeed he is everywhere in the constituency frenetically rallying BN campaigners and party workers not to relax but to double their efforts to ensure that the parliamentary seat does not fall to PAS.
PAS leaders say the same thing, that their candidate, Wakaf Mempelam assemblyman Abdul Wahid Endut, has more than 50-50 percent chances of snatching away Kuala Terengganu from the BN. In fact PAS director of the by-election machinery, Datuk Wan Abdul Mutalib Embong, backed his forecast by saying that it is also an assessment made by the police and the military. Other leaders talked of caveats too, mostly the usual ones, but Wan Mutalib told reporters: “My only worry is that the presence of so many policemen may frighten the voters while encouraging many hantu to come out to do mischief.” He did not say whether by hantu the meant devils or phantoms.
Unlike in Permatang Pauh when it was obvious who the winner was going to be on nomination day itself, and most people --- including officials --- were happily and openly saying so without fear of losing their credibility, almost all in Kuala Terengganu seems shy of predicting the outcome of tomorrow’s polling.
When pressed for their opinion most BN component party members would turn away but those few who were willing to make a prediction would warily say that Wahid has a strong chance of winning, albeit narrowly, but they would be happy to be wrong. But unlike them some Pas members are not really shy of saying “Insyaallah our party candidate will win if …” and they will go on to intone the caveats mentioned by their leaders at the various ceramahs and rallies.
Focus is now back on the personalities of the two main contestants --- little media glare is on the third candidate, independent Azharudin Mamat, who is also actively campaigning --- after a frenzy of debates mostly on national, and even international --- especially Israeli atrocities in Gaza, issues.
After almost two weeks of speaking, shaking hands, attending kenduri and funerals and sleeping only for a few hours each day, Wan Farid and Wahid are noticeably tired and worn out as they shuffle from one function to the next. PAS, backed by its two Pakatan Rakyat partners of PKR and DAP, has accused the BN of all kind of abuses and perceived failures to dissuade the voters from voting for the ruling coalition again.
Even rumours about alleged unfair treatment of the late MP, Datuk Razali Ismail, by the BN, Umno and Wan Farid were exploited so as to win over some or all of the family members, relatives, friends and supporters of the former deputy education minister. The BN has mobilise members of its federal cabinet, almost all of its Umno, MCA and MIC leaders to counter all the allegations even as it pours in all kinds of ang pows and election lollipops to the various communities in Kuala Terengganu.
It is also appealing to all of the 80,229 voters to turn up to vote especially the out-of-state Chinese voters who are reluctant to return for the purpose as they would have to return again for the Chinese new year only about a week later. It knows that it will benefit from a large turnout and better if it is more than 82.45% recorded for the March 8 general election.
As for the late Razali, never have a former deputy education minister been so honoured. He will now have a school and an institute named after him. Will all this be enough to tilt the balance in Wan Farid’s favour? Will the two visits of prime minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi help?
Wan Farid was said to be behind the more folksy and campaign-wise Wahid on nomination day --- 42% to 58%. Those doing the assessment say that support for him has inched up since then and on Wednesday it was 48% to 52%. And this probably accounts for the flurry of SMSes campaign, targeted at fence sitters, that it does not matter if Wahid is returned as it will not affect the state government or significantly reduce the strength of the BN government at the federal level. The response was “why not elect Wan Farid as after all Wahid is already a wakil rakyat”.
Targetted at the 9,300 or so Chinese voters are messages that to vote for BN would only make it, especially Umno, feel that it is strong and therefore would not embark on steps to reform itself.
“It is still not unreasonable to expect Wahid to win by a majority of about 2,000 votes,” said a PKR leader, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, on Monday.
But Wan Farid may just have already crossed the 50% mark.
