Salam ‘I Love You dari 38,000 kaki’...

I love you :x #love #caption #wings #aircraft".

Jika subsidi dikembalikan seperti dituntut PKR, harga RON95 hanyalah RM1.61 seliter.

Baca seterusnya...

Rescue workers carry debris recovered from the ocean, presumed to be part of the AirAsia plane.
Bodies recovered as bad weather hampers search...

One of the bodies discovered in the early stages of the recovery mission of AirAsia QZ8105 may be of Monash University student Kevin Alexander Soetjipto.

Search and rescue operations chief Tatang Zaenudin confirmed to Fairfax Media that objects found on one of the seven bodies recovered so far indicate that it might have been Mr Soetjipto, a financial services student at the Melbourne university.

Local media reports said bodies were found with identification documents. Mr Soetjipto, originally from Malang in Eastern Indonesia, was in seat 6A of the doomed flight, apparently with two members of his family.

Another person has been tentatively named as Surabaya citizen Hayati Sutfiah Hamid. Formal identification will not be made until dental, fingerprint or DNA evidence is checked.

Mr Zaenudin contradicted earlier reports quoting him saying one of the recovered bodies was wearing a life jacket. He clarified, saying a life jacket was found near one of the bodies. The issue is significant, because a body wearing a life jacket suggests passengers had time enough time to react to the problems that led to the crash.

Bad weather on Wednesday prevented aircraft from continuing the search for bodies and debris from the flight, and seas were too rough and riven by currents for divers to descend to depths of up to 50 metres where the main fuselage of the plane lies.

Complicating the search was the fact that bodies are being found in ones and twos floating free of the fuselage, having been swept away by ocean currents. By Wednesday afternoon, seven had been recovered, the last at 10.20am local time by a Malaysian vessel working in a different search zone from the main wreckage.

A sonar image shows a large, dark object on the sea bed, believed to be the body of the plane, is lying at a depth of 30 to 50 metres underwater. So far, four male and three female bodies have been found and on Wednesday night two were due to be flown back to Surabaya.

Five more were being held at sea on an Indonesian naval command ship called the Bung Tomo. It would stay there until weather conditions improve, search and rescue agency chief Bambang Sulistyo said. Authorities have not released any details about age or preliminary identities except that one appears to be that of 20-year-old trainee flight assistant Khairunisa Haidar Fauzi.

The bodies will eventually be brought back for identification and examination at the police hospital in central Surabaya. Until then, anxious families are still waiting at Juanda airport. Doctors began yesterday taking blood samples from them to extract DNA for identification purposes.

Ms Khairunisa was tentatively identified by the AirAsia name tag still attached to her uniform. Her father, Haidar Fauzi, told Fairfax Media he had heard the news, though it had not been officially confirmed.

"This is what we expected, and the sooner the body is returned, the sooner we can have her back," Mr Haidar said.

He said he and his wife were not distraught, "because we only borrowed our daughter from God and now he has taken her back.

"We plan on burying her back in our home town, Palembang. We've been promised they will facilitate it.

Mr Haidar had previously said he was "well prepared" to hear of his daughter's fate, saying that she would have put the lives of her passengers ahead of her own.

Indonesian newspaper Kompas reported that three of the bodies were found holding hands. The paper quoted Lieutenant Airman Tri Wobowo, one of the co-pilots of the aircraft participating in the search, who said: "There are seven to eight people. Three [of them] again hold hands."

Mr Sulistyo firmly scotched earlier stories from a different agency that 40 bodies had been recovered. He warned others to leave the official comments to Basarnas.

Searchers are still focusing their efforts on two different sectors of ocean - known during the primary search as sectors five and seven - but bad weather was hampering efforts.

"As far as any visual sightings of more bodies concerned, bad weather means we can't really confirm anything from the air at this stage. For the boats on the sea; their speed is low, it's raining, so visibility is lousy," Mr Sulistyo said.

Divers from Basarnas were already on the scene on Tuesday night, and on Wednesday the Indonesian navy sent 47 of its own divers to join the search, but treacherous conditions meant none of them could take to the water.

The priority - as ordered by Indonesia President Joko Widodo - is to return bodies to their families so they can bury them. Muslim custom dictates that they should be buried within 24 hours.

In Surabaya, doctors, ambulances and experts were on hand to begin identifying them. Three hospitals and 130 ambulances spent the day on standby. Police disaster victims identification chief Budiono said he could not say how long the process would take - it would depend on the state of the bodies - but the focus would be on accuracy, not on speed.

He said there were three primary methods of identification: one via DNA, the second through fingerprints and the third through dental records. Photographs, clothing, jewellery and medical records could also be used as secondary identification methods.

The search for the black box flight recorder would come next, Mr Sulistyo said - something the airline is keenly anticipating so it can start to explain why this flight went down. Airline chief executive Tony Fernandes - while not wanting to speculate on a cause of the crash - pointed squarely at "very unique weather conditions" as an explanation.

Mr Sulistyo said nine fixed-wing aircraft and 17 helicopters were on standby waiting for better weather. A second US navy ship and another ship from Malaysia have also been dispatched to the area.- smh

Why won’t BN let PR help in flood relief and investigations...

In a plea for Malaysians to put aside race, religion and political differences, DAP elder statesman Lim Kit Siang has offered Pakatan Rakyat’s services to help set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the country’s worst floods.

In a statement, Lim said, “Such a RCI should be formed now, although it could start formal investigations after the floods have receded.”

Asking if Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin would agree to let Pakatan Rakyat nominate the Chairman of the RCI, Lim added that this was a necessary step to ensure Malaysia’s disaster management of floods did not become a “standing joke in the world”.

Saying, “DAP and Pakatan Rakyat are prepared to put political differences aside and work with the Barisan Nasional government to bring relief to the flood victims,” Lim also expressed his anger at how two DAP leaders who tried to deliver aid to flood victims recently were blocked from entering the flood relief centres.

Describing the incidents in Kluang at Kampung Bentong and Kampung Bentong Dalam as “deplorable”, Lim also condemned the bombing of his Twitter site with over 50 “incoherent” messages in the last two days as “petty and childish diversions at a time when the country is faced with a major disaster.”

Also in the line of fire was the National Security Council that Lim suspected “misled” the prime minister on the flood situation after the latter returned from Hawaii.

Saying he was troubled as to why Najib Razak had not visited the two worst-hit areas, Lim said, “Did the NSC withhold the information from the Prime Minister that Gua Musang and Kuala Krai were the two worst-hit areas”.

Lim also questioned if the decision not to visit these places were Najib’s own or if the NSC itself was “unaware” of the fact.

Another issue Lim brought up was the “complete collapse” of the NSC’s chain of command and communications at the district level.

Lim was of the opinion that if Najib had been told this crucial information by the NSC, he would have been spared from making a “blooper” by only declaring the floods a “disaster” and “major catastrophe” on the fourth day of his return from Hawaii and not earlier as he should have.

“This does not enhance public confidence in the competence, efficiency and professionalism of the NSC in being the master body responsible for floods disaster management in the country!”, Lim said while adding that Muhyiddin’s claim that he was in charge and that Putrajaya was aware of the actual flood situation was completely false.

He said, “These are classic examples of Ministerial statements which are just meaningless gibberish for the Minister who made them did not know what he was talking about – like his infamous claim that Malaysia’s education system was better than in United State, Britain and Germany!”

Saying Muhyiddin’s promise of a post-mortem was “not good enough”, Lim reasoned “it sounds very self-serving as if Muhyiddin is preparing the ground to pin the blame on the worst floods disaster in recent decades on everybody but himself and the NSC”.- fmt

cheers.
