MIC seperti orang hilang akal.
“Kerajaan seolah-olah membenarkan tindakan agresif seperti ini,” kata Jui Meng.
“Kenapa mereka (peserta himpunan) dihalang?
MIC men accused of roughing up Jui Meng...
PKR vice president Chua Jui Meng who is also Johor PKR chief was allegedly manhandled by MIC members after a meeting with National Registration Department (NRD) officials in Putrajaya this morning.“It is shocking that the police allowed MIC gangsters into a federal government building. There were about 50 MIC members waiting outside the meeting room.
“When we stepped out of the room after the meeting, about seven to eight of the MIC goons manhandled Chua, pushing and shoving him,” said N Surendran.
Surendran, the PKR vice president had earlier led a delegation comprising Chua, Latheefa Koya, Charles Santiago and R Sivarasa to meet NRD director general, Jariah Mohd Said.
They were representing hundreds of people in a bid to resolve the issue of stateless Indians.
Surendran said a police report will be lodged against the MIC members who roughed up Chua. “We will also release a video which proves the assault,” he said.
MIC Youth information chief S Subramaniam was quick to deny Surendran’s allegation.
“We were there as part of a special task force. Chua reacted harshly when one of our members asked what he had done for the community when he was in the cabinet,” he said.
Chua was Health Minister in the BN government from 1990 to 2004. He joined PKR in 2009.-FMT
JPN - Buka pintu...buka pintu...depa mai tuntut Mykad...
“Najib kata 9,000, dia tipu!

Protesters rally in Putrajaya against statelessness...
Some 300 people have gathered in Putrajaya to march to the National Registration Department (NRD) headquarters to drive home the issue of statelessness resulting from the absence of personal identification documents.
The protesters, who have been arriving since 10am, began marching an hour later to the NRD from the area adjacent to the Palace of Justice.
The rally was organised by PKR.
Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has pledged to rectify the problems leading to statelessness if Pakatan Rakyat forms the federal government.
Many protesters held up a mock red MyKad bearing the images of the pime minister and home minister respectively, to illustrate their claim that the government has failed them in their bid to obtain citizenship.
The protesters chanted slogans such as "Fight for rights" and "Fight for IC rights".
PKR vice-president N Surendran, Kapar MP S Manikavasagam and Subang MP R Sivarasa delivered speeches before the rally began.
'Give late application forms, not citizenship forms'
At the NRD office, a few PKR leaders were seen entering the building but some protesters were unhappy that more had not been allowed in.
A minor argument broke out between the protesters and police personnel, who had a strong presence in the vicinity of the building.
The dissatisfied protesters shouted "Buka pintu!" (Open the door), as Pakatan leaders tried to calm them and the police closed the door to the building.
At 12.45pm, the leaders, comprising Surendran, Sivarasa and M Manogaran, walked out of the NRD building after nearly two hours of negotiation with NRD director-general Jariah Mohd Said.
Surendran(left) announced that NRD agreed to set up the counters to process the applications of those stateless, but stressed that the NRD should give them late application forms instead of citizenship forms.
"All of us here are born in Malaysia, we are Malaysian citizen, by right we should get the IC application form" he said while addressing the crowd, which has since swelled to some 500-strong.
Chua: MIC leaders pushed my shoulder
Meanwhile, PKR vice-president Chua Jui Ming claimed that he was pushed by several MIC youths and leaders following the negotiation.
"Why did the MIC try to stop us? They are the traitors of the Indians".
Chua claimed that the MIC Youth leaders pushed him on the shoulder, but he did not suffer any injury.
His claim was backed up by Surendran, who told reporters that he recognised some of Chua’s assailants as MIC Youth leaders and that they were wearing shirts bearing the 1Malaysia logo.
However, the MIC Youth chief T Mohan when contacted said the PKR team was provoking MIC Youth members there by calling them “MIC gangsters”.
“Surendran is a liar. They provoked my boys. How will Surendran feel if we call him gangster?” Mohan said when reached by Malaysiakini late this evening.
He also challenged PKR to show the proof of its claim and to and lodge a police report.
However, Mohan (right) declined to provided the name of the MIC members who were present with the gathering at the NRD headquarters.
Earlier in the morning, some 300 people gathered in Putrajaya to march to the NRD headquarters to drive home the problems of stateless people in the country who were suffering without personal identification documents.
The protesters, who have been arriving from 10am, began their march to the NRD headquarters an hour later from their gathering point adjacent to the Palace of Justice.
Among of the Pakatan leaders who delivered speeches before the rally began were Sivarasa, who is Subang MP, Kapar MP S Manikavasagam, Ipoh Barat MP M Kulasegaran and Kuala Selangor MP Dzulkefli Ahmad.
His claim was backed up by Surendran, who further told reporters that he had recognised some of Chua’s assailants as MIC youth leaders and they were wearing t-shirts bearing the 1Malaysia logo.- malaysiakini
