Everyone leaving PKR, soon there will be none.....

Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng today became the second federal lawmaker to leave PKR, delivering another blow to the party that has seen sitting lawmakers leave nearly two years after their historic victory in Election 2008.

Former Penang DCM 1 Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin announced that he was leaving PKR to join UMNO. He made the announcement in front of PM Najib Abdul Razak, who is also Umno president, at a function with the Silat Seni Gayung Association in Ampang. Mohammad Fairus then handed his UMNO membership application form to Najib.

A group of 77 Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth members have resigned from Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s stronghold in Permatang Pauh on Sunday to join UMNO, Sunday Star reported. Among those who quit were the Guar Jering branch deputy Youth chief Fakhrul Che Umar and treasurer Hesabudin Md Isa.

“After two years in power, the bickering between the Pakatan component parties has worsened. Can you imagine what will happen if Pakatan controlled the Federal Government?” Fakhrul said at a ceremony witnessed by Penang UMNO chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Fakhrul, who was among PKR’s pioneer members, said the Youth wing had not received any allocation from the party to organise events for the people. “What has PKR done for us here?” he asked.

Former PKR secretary-general Datuk Salehuddin Hashim, who resigned from his post in January, has now quit the party. Salehuddin, when contacted, said he made his decision two weeks after ending his term of office.

“I did not want to quit the party when my term of office had yet to end. But when it ended, I informed the party that I was quitting,” said Salehuddin, who first held the post of organising secretary in the party before he was made secretary-general after the March 2008 general election. His name has been among those mentioned from PKR who were said to be joining Umno.

4 PKR state assemblymen, 2 from Perak,1 from Kedah,1 from Selangor, and the PKR MP Bayan Baru became UMNO friendly opposition members. Probably,the MP for Kulim Bandar Baru will join the bandwagon latter.

Bickering among party members and parties within a coalition are common. Dont tell me that there's no bickering going on among BN parties? As for the question, “What has PKR done for us here?”...they should also ask what can UMNO offer them? The most money and contracts but for how long? Now they have found an UMNO leader who can pay them much, what more can they ask for?

If they want to leave please do so but dont blame PKR for not doing anything for them. You are in the party for its "perjuangan" not to fill your pocket with money and contracts.......
