Nada beza Tuan Ibrahim
- mk

Hadi ducks poser on who to vote for in Pmtg Pauh...
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has refused to
answer questions on who to vote for in the Permatang Pauh by-election at
a public forum today.
During the forum on hudud law organised by Sinar Harian in Shah Alam, Abdul Hadi was posed with the question by two forum participants.
One of the participants asked who should Permatang Pauh voters support in view of PKR's refusal to back PAS on its pursuit to implement hudud law in Kelantan.
"The person who asked the question will not be voting in Permatang Pauh. Thus, there is no need to answer," replied the PAS president.
Non-committal
Following this, another participant said that he was in fact a Permatang Pauh voter and asked the same question.
Again, Abdul Hadi skirted around the question.
"Voting is not so soon. I can't answer that question because votes can be bought any time," he said while laughing.
When approached by reporters after the event on Permatang Pauh PAS grassroots call for party members not to back PKR's candidate, Abdul Hadi said he respected views from the grassroots and will seek their explanation.
"We (PAS) are still in Pakatan Rakyat. On Permatang Pauh, we can't depend on media reports alone. I will seek details from Permatang Pauh (PAS)," he said.
When asked for his message to Permatang Pauh PAS, Abdul Hadi was again non-committal and said: "I respect PAS supporters in Permatang Pauh".
According to the Sinar Harian front page report today, Permatang Pauh PAS Ulama affairs head Badrul Abdul Rahman said it was haram to vote for a candidate which rejected hudud.- mk

1MDB gave false documents to Singapore’s BSI Bank...
The Sarawak Report today called upon Singapore authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the role of BSI Bank in the affairs of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and Jho Low, who the website claimed to be the bank’s “top private customer.”
The whistleblower website claimed that documents said to be the statement of accounts of 1MDB’s subsidiary Brazen Sky Limited for November 2014 purportedly given by 1MDB CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy to “various authorities” had been dismissed by BSI Bank as “false”.
It also claimed that the bank had denied that the documents had originated from them.
The Sarawak Report went on to allege that the documents “did not represent a true account of the assets of the 1MDB subsidiary.”
In a reply to a parliamentary question from DAP’s Tony Pua, Prime Minister Najib Razak had on March 11 confirmed that 1MDB had “redeemed” a sum of US$1.103 billion from Brazen Sky’s offshore account in the Cayman Islands and that the funds were being kept in US denomination at BSI Bank in Singapore.
However, Sarawak Report today claimed that its investigations revealed that Brazen Sky’s accounts in Singapore did not show the existence of any actual cash.
It said, instead, that the account merely comprised “paper assets,” adding that the “true value” of those assets could not be determined.
The Report suggested that 1MDB has not been forthcoming in explaining the whereabouts of its funds after the termination of its joint venture with PetroSaudi International in 2009.
Eventually, in January this year, Arul announced that the money had been ‘redeemed’ from the Caymans in two separate tranches – US$1.22 billion in September last year, followed by $1.103 billion this January.
This was followed by the Prime Minister claiming in Parliament that the money was being held in Singapore and would not be brought back to Malaysia.
“The decision to use a bank in Singapore was done in order to smoothen the transaction as regulations set by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) require for transactions above RM50 million to obtain its approval,” the Prime Minister’s statement to Parliament read.
The Sarawak Report also claimed that Jho Low was a “major private and corporate customer of BSI Singapore” and suggested that the Singapore authorities ought to investigate him on the basis that he was purportedly “the driving force behind 1MDB’s various investment decisions, including the PetroSaudi deal, which transferred $700 million into an account controlled by him in the name of Good Star Limited at RBS Coutts in Zurich.” - fmt
