1. As a result of the exposure regarding the Altantuya case and 1MDB, Najib is now getting pledges of support from UMNO division heads, BN, MIC, Senators and all kinds of groups. This is what the mainstream press reports.
2. I am not asking anybody to support me. But I am going to ask all those who support Najib to declare they all support his 1MDB, 1MDB borrowing 42 billion Ringgit and his inability to answer where the money is when asked.
3. Do you also support keeping billions of Ringgit in Cayman Islands? Do you also support that having brought back the money, it must be kept in a Swiss Bank in Singapore. Do you also support the explanation that the money cannot be brought back to Malaysia by the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance because Bank Negara will ask too many questions.
4. Do you support purchase of Government land in KL at far below market price, revaluing it to make it your asset while buying power plants from the private sector at well above market price.
5. Now there is a suggestion that this land be sold to Government companies at inflated prices so as to pay the billions borrowed by 1MDB.
6. If this sale is in order to pay 1MDB debts, that means that 1MDB which borrowed 42 billion cannot pay its debts from its investments, that it has lost the billions.
7. So what happened to the 42 billion borrowed? Why must 1MDB borrow 2 billion to pay the interest? Why must Government make available almost 1 billion Government money to pay 1MDB debts?
8. These two borrowings by 1MDB means it now has a debt of 42+3 billion = 45 billion.
9. Supporters of Najib must also support Jho Low who managed 1MDB money who is a friend of Najib like Daim is my friend. They must also be friends of Jho Low to have so much faith in him.
10. I asked Najib simple questions but instead of answering the questions he asked people to support him. I would like to ask the supporters whether their support means the disappearance of 42 billion Ringgit is okay, that there is no necessity to at least explain where the money is. Kenapa Najib tak boleh jawab soalan mudah tanya Mahathir...
un Dr Mahathir Mohamad hari ini menyoal mereka yang menyerang beliau kerana terus mengkritik Datuk Seri Najib Razak, bertanya mengapa perdana menteri itu tidak dapat menjawab soalan mudah yang diajukannya.
Bekas perdana menteri itu berkata, beliau hanya memberikan soalan mudah kepada Najib tetapi beliau tidak menjawabnya, sebaliknya meminta orang ramai menyatakan sokongan terhadapnya.
Dr Mahathir mengambil contoh isu yang dibangkitkannya mengenai hutang RM42 bilion 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) dan pembunuhan warga Mongolia Altantuya Shaariibuu.
"Saya ingin bertanya kepada penyokongnya sama ada sokongan mereka itu bermakna kehilangan RM42 bilion itu tidak mengapa? Tidak perlu paling kurang pun dijelaskan di mana wang itu?
"Kalau anda rasa tidak mengapa, pergilah suruh (Tun) Daim (Zainuddin), Tengku Razaleigh (Hamzah), (Datuk Seri) Shahrir Samad dan Khairy Jamaluddin diam," katanya merujuk kepada beberapa pemimpin Umno yang juga pernah membangkitkan isu itu sebelum ini.
Dr Mahathir berkata susulan pendedahan mengenai kes Altantuya dan 1MDB, Najib dilaporkan media menerima ikrar sokongan dan taat setia dari ketua Umno bahagian, pemimpin Barisan Nasional, MIC, Gerakan, ahli Dewan Negara dan berbagai lagi kumpulan.
Katanya, beliau bukan mahukan sesiapa menyokongnya tetapi meminta mereka yang menyokong Najib juga mengisytiharkan sokongan mereka kepada 1MDB, hutang RM42 bilionnya dan kegagalan Najib menjawab di mana wang itu apabila ditanya.
"Adakah anda juga menyokong simpanan berbilion ringgit di Kepulauan Cayman? Adakah anda juga menyokong yang setelah membawa pulang wang itu, ia mesti disimpan di dalam Bank Swiss di Singapura? Adakah anda juga menyokong penjelasan yang wang itu tidak boleh dibawa balik ke Malaysia oleh perdana menteri dan menteri kewangan kerana Bank Negara akan bertanya terlalu banyak soalan?" soal Dr Mahathir.
Bekas perdana menteri itu juga bertanya sekiranya penyokong Najib juga setuju dengan pembelian tanah kerajaan di Kuala Lumpur pada harga yang jauh lebih rendah dari pasaran sambil pada masa sama membeli logi tenaga dari sektor swasta pada harga lebih tinggi dari pasaran.
Beliau juga berkata mereka yang menyokong Najib tentu juga menyokong ahli perniagaan Low Taek Jho yang dikatakannya menguruskan kewangan 1MDB dan kawan kepada Najib.
Dr Mahathir dikritik kerana tidak henti-henti menyerang Najib dan menggesa perdana menteri itu meletak jawatan sedangkan semasa zaman beliau juga, kata pengkritiknya, beliau turut terlibat dalam skandal kewangannya tersendiri.
Dua hari lepas Dr Mahathir cuba mempertahankan beberapa keputusan yang dibuatnya semasa 22 tahun pentadbirannya dalam usaha menjawab balik hujah yang beliau tidak sepatutnya mengkritik kesilapan dalam dasar Najib seperti skandal 1MDB.

This comes as Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin told Mahathir to lay off Najib and let the current leadership do its job.
In his latest blog posting, the third against Najib this month, Mahathir asks Najib’s supporters if they also agree with the RM42 billion debt racked up by the Umno president’s brainchild, 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
Mahathir said instead answering the questions posed to him, Najib is now getting pledges of support from Umno division heads, BN, MIC, senators and all kinds of groups.
"I am not asking anybody to support me. But I am going to ask all those who support Najib to declare whether they all support his 1MDB, that is 1MDB borrowing RM42 billion, and his inability to answer where the money is when asked," he said.
"Do you also support keeping billions of ringgit in the Cayman Islands? Do you also support that having brought back the money, it must be kept in a Swiss bank in Singapore?.
“Do you also support the explanation that the money cannot be brought back to Malaysia by the PM and finance minister because Bank Negara will ask too many questions?” Mahathir asked in his blog.
The goverment earlier said 1MDB's funds, which it redeemed from Cayman Islands, are kept in Singapore for ease of transaction.
Mahathir, who led the country from 1981 to 2003, further asked if Najib’s supporters backed the sale of goverment-owned prime land in Kuala Lumpur at below market price to 1MDB, which later revalued the land to boost its bottomline.
He also questioned the Finance Ministry-owned firm's purchase of power plants from the private sector at higher than market prices.
Mahathir raised this in reference to 1MDB's questionable move to purchase the power plants from independent power producers in the private sector at higher prices, despite some of the plants being relatively old.
Mahathir, who turns 90 this year, said any proposal that 1MDB resells those land banks to government-linked firms at inflated prices means 1MDB is not in a sound position.
"If
this sale is in order to pay 1MDB debts, that means 1MDB, which
borrowed RM42 billion, cannot pay its debts from its investments. That
it has lost the billions."So what happened to the RM42 billion borrowed? Why must 1MDB borrow RM2 billion to pay the interest? Why must the government make available almost RM1 billion in government money to pay the debts of 1MDB?,” he asked.
On this, Mahathir was referring to Najib's reply in Parliament yesterday that RM2 billion was paid in February to Maybank and RHB. Najib also said that 1MDB is not bankrupt.
Earlier, Finance Minister II Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah said the government extended an RM950 million advance to 1MDB to ease its cash flow woes.
Najib is finance minister and chairperson of 1MDB's board of advisers.
So much trust for Jho Low?
Mahathir also refused to let go of the fact that tycoon Jho Low is close to Najib’s family.
Low was reportedly heavily-involved in 1MDB’s birth and admitted to advising the state investment firm.
He
was given special thanks in end credits of 'The Wolf of Wall Street', a
Hollywood film produced by Najib’s stepson Riza Aziz’s firm Red
Granite.Mahathir asked if Najib’s backers have the same level of trust for the 30-something businessman Low, who has decried he is victim of political crossfire.

Daim and Tengku Razaleigh are former finance ministers who have voiced concerns over 1MDB.
Shahrir is BN Backbenchers’ Council chairperson, who urged Najib to stand up for himself while Youth and Sports Minister Khairy said Najib can no longer keep silent on Mahathir’s attacks.
Mahathir had earlier also asked who ordered the killing of Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu in 2006.

Key issues raised by Dr M not addressed...
However, the hour-long programme conducted by Umno-linked TV3 was an anti-climax because the premier chose to avoid key issues raised by Mahathir.
While he addressed the allegations concerning 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), he however made no mention of his ties with hard partying business tycoon Low Taek Jho.
He also did not touch on the issue of his family's fortune which prompted his siblings to issue a statement that expressed concern about their father's reputation being tainted.
The statement was a result of the Prime Minister's Office attributing Najib's wealth and his family's lavish expenditure to inheritance.
Similarly, Najib did not broach the main issues concerning the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu, which are the motive or if anyone had ordered the killing.
The premier merely reiterated his innocence and that he did not know the Mongolian national.
Critics unlikely to be satisfied
However, the crux of Mahathir's recent arguments on the case was the absence of a motive and that fugitive police commando Sirul Azhar Umar should not be sentenced to death for "following orders".
Neither did Najib address the issue of Putrajaya's decision to purchase an Airbus ACJ320.
Mahathir said that Najib had been silent on these issues for far too long and predicted that Umno and BN will be defeated during the next general election unless the latter steps down as premier.
Several key BN leaders including Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, BN backbenchers head Shahrir Samad and former Umno deputy president Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah have urge Najib to answer these lingering allegations.
However, the vast majority of Umno leaders have said that the premier should be given time to reply and expressed their support for him.
Since this televised interview failed to shed light on Mahathir's allegations, it is expected that pressure will continue to pour on Najib for answers.- mk
