- mk
Guan Eng challenges PAS to take him on in Air Putih...
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has invited PAS to contest in his state constituency of Air Putih in Penang.
Lim was referring to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, who said that PAS plans to field non-Malay members of its Supporters Congress in non-Malay and DAP-dominated seats in the next general election.
Lim said he was not shocked by Hadi's statement, as this view seemed to be in line with the new PAS policy of treating DAP, instead of Umno or BN, as its enemy.
“Hadi’s remark is expected. But this is a democracy where all parties have the right to contest,” Lim said at a press conference in Komtar today.
“If PAS is confident, DAP will accept the challenge humbly, because we expect to gain votes based on our performance, good governance and clean administration,” he said
“We are not bankrupt, like some states,” added the Penang chief minister.
Lim opined that PAS may have a victory plan in the coming general election, which is not due until 2018.
However, Lim said he was not certain whether PAS really wants to win or become a “spoiler” so that BN and Umno can emerge victorious in the election.
“We will let the people judge. If PAS really wants to contest in our seats, I welcome them to my state seat Air Putih,” he said.
“We will face them humbly. We will not take anything for granted,” Lim added. - mk

Hello IGP, U stop behaving like a politician...
Criminal prosecution should also
be brought against Umno or pro-Umno NGOs who have committed “more
disgusting” acts than stomping on photos of national leaders, said DAP
Seri Delima assemblyman RSN Rayer.
He urged the police to nab those who have sent cakes shaped like human faeces and women’s undergarments to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng at his office in Komtar.
Rayer said action must also be taken against Perkasa members who conducted a funeral rite in front of Lim’s private home on Jalan Pinhorn.
He added that police must also act against those involved in a BN Youth rally in 2010, where the protestors stomped and burnt photos of the chief minister outside the Penang legislative assembly,” Rayer said in a statement.
“Why were there no actions against these individuals in all these cases? Is it because they were all from Umno or pro-Umno NGOs?” Rayer (photo) asked.
Rayer’s statements comes after the police had offered monetary rewards for information leading to the arrest of Bersih 4 rally-goers who stomped on a poster with images of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.
'Cops shouldn't take sides'
Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah and the DAP have denied knowing the identities of two women who were seen in photos and a video which showed them stomping on photoshopped photos of Najib and Hadi.
Rayer reminded Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and inspector-general of police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar that their solemn duty is to maintain law and order in the country.
“They should act in the interest of all citizens without taking sides,” Rayer said.
“If the IGP acts in the manner he is doing now, the public may be compelled to ask the same question posted by Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali in the recent Permatang Pauh by-election” he noted.
In the by-election, Azmin had pointedly asked Khalid is he was a ‘lackey’ (barua) or Umno, due to the alleged double standards in prosecution carried out by the police.
“Stop behaving like a politician and be steadfast, honest, impartial, objective and firm, and enforce the law for the protection of all and sundry without fear or favour, Mr IGP!” urged Rayer. - mk

Gambar dipijak2 jadi isu tapi effigy pengerusi #Bersih4 dimandi "darah" takde hal?
siapa lagi biadap?
Mengapa Najib masih membisu pasal dana RM2.6 bilion...
