Kalau Anwar = Obama, Mahathir = Idi Amin,Marcos and Bush...

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad berkata lebih baik mengundi “syaitan yang dikenali” dalam Barisan Nasional (BN) dari Pakatan Rakyat (PR) yang hanya tahu memberikan janji.

“BN telah mendengar suara rakyat dan mengubah banyak polisi dan undang-undang,” kata bekas perdana menteri itu dalam blognya hari ini.

“Rakyat hanya perlu mendesak BN bagi membawa perubahan yang mereka mahukan.

“Lebih baik syaitan yang anda kenali dari malaikat yang anda tidak kenal.”

Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak dijangka akan mengadakan pilihan raya, tetapi serangan dari PR serta pendedahan skandal melibatkan pentadbirannya telah melambatkan cadangan beliau.

Pentadbiran Najib juga telah memperkenalkan beberapa polisi baru dan perubahan polisi dalam mematahkan serangan PR dana janji reformasi mereka jika mengambil alih kuasa.

Perdana Menteri juga telah menubuhkan suruhanjaya diraja untuk menyelesaikan masalah pendatang tanpa izin di Sabah selepas berlaku pembelotan beberapa ahli parlimen menyokong PR.

Beliau juga berjanji untuk menghapuskan Akta Hasutan selain menghapuskan beberapa akta keselamatan awal tahun ini.

Tetapi PR telah berjaya membuat serangan dengan mendedahkan skandal melibatkan projek penternakan nasional serta kontrak melibatkan projek tambahan LRT.

Pembangkang juga berjanji menurunkan harga kereta  lebih rendah untuk rakyat Malaysia.

Dalam blognya hari ini, Dr Mahathir membandingkan janji PR dengan presiden Amerika Syarikat, Barack Obama, dengan janji perubahannya.

“Dalam kempennya untuk menjadi presiden, Barack Obama telah menjanjikan perubahan,” katanya.

“Beliau berjanji untuk menutup Kem Guantanamo, berjanji untuk tidak membawa tahanan ke mahkamah tentera, berjanji untuk membawa tentera keluar dari Iraq dan Afghanistan dan sekarang sudah empat tahun dan dia gagal untuk mengotakan janjinya.”

Menurutnya lagi, pembangkang di Malaysia telah meniru Obama dan menjanjikan perubahan.
Beliau mengakui bahawa BN telah memerintah Malaysia dalam tempoh yang lama, tetapi berkata BN mempunyai rekod yang baik.

“Lima tahun sebagai tempoh percubaan adalah sangat bahaya. Banyak perkara boleh hancur dalam masa lima tahun. Selain itu, tidak ada jaminan pembangkang bila menjadi kerajaan akan membenarkan BN kembali. Pegawai mereka akan mengugut sesiapa yang mahu menukar kerajaan.

“Walaupun kita lihat beliau yang mengaku berjuang untuk hak bersuara, tetapi dia sering menyaman orang yang mengkritiknya.

“Kuasa dalam bahagian lain kerajaan juga akan dirosakkan. Nepotisme dan kronisme akan berterusan seperti parti yang dipimpinnya,” kata beliau dengan merujuk kepada ketua pembangkang, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.-malaysian insider

Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has compared Pakatan Rakyat leader Anwar Ibrahim to current United States President Barack Obama for promising big changes but failing to keep them. 

He said Anwar's electoral campaign was similar to Obama's (right) - promising the rakyat many changes but with no guarantee of realising them.

Hence he urged the people to support BN.

"Better the devil you know than the angel you don't," he wrote in his blog, Che Det, earlier today.


"The BN has listened to the people and has changed many laws and policies. All the people need to do is to urge the BN to carry out whatever change the people desire," Mahathir said.

The former premier said it would be dangerous to give the opposition party a trial as government for five years, since much damage could be done during that period of time.

"Many things can be destroyed in five years. Besides, the opposition as government will ensure there will be no return for BN. Officers in the government will be used to threaten whoever tries to change the government," he explained.

'Country will be bankrupt' 

Mahathir also said Pakatan would make the country bankrupt by turning it into a welfare state by promising free education, no tolls, a lower price for petrol and more.

He explained that the government needed sufficient funds to develop the country and to create subsidies, but if Pakatan cancelled taxes, tolls and fees, the country would be left with no funds and eventually, no reserves.

According to him, it is acceptable for the government to borrow money but only if it can give returns from investments, not for unprofitable spending.

Not just that, Mahathir also accused Anwar of only being interested in becoming the future prime minister, and that he did not make any changes when he was in the government.

"Now, as leader of the opposition, he is claiming he will bring about change. What good change did he introduce when he was in the government?

"All he was interested in was getting up the leadership ladder of Umno in order to become prime minister. How he achieved his objective does not bear scrutiny," he said.

Thus, Mahathir called on the rakyat to not be deceived by the opposition party, just like how he was previously deceived by (Anwar's) appearance of religious piety.-malaysiakini

Anonymous #55961902 - How stupid he could be to say "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't". By saying that he acknowledged that the present Gomen is the DEVIL. In actual fact we, the Rakyat knew all along who the BIG DEVIL was or is. Whatever comes its time to change from the DEVIL we know to the angle we don't know. Give the ANGLE we don't know a change to perform. Pakatan Rakyat has proven their abilites in the 4 states ruled by them...Selangor, Penang, Kelatan and Kedah. These are examples where the Rakyat can judge for themselves. These states under PR are better ruled than the rest.

2LAN - Just look at Selangor and Penang then we can see how PR can govern better, much much better than the thieves we have. Even bad angels better than good devils.

anak,bangsa,malaysia - So Dr.M admits he is evil that BN is truly evil. Even though the angel could be an evil later on, I think the rakyat is willing to take the chances. The evil BN has been given 55 years of satisfaction to ruin this country. So it is no harm giving 5 years for PR to show its evilness. Evil PR is not so good at it to do evil as it is still new and an infant in it. Where as the Evil BN is so smart of doing evil since it is dwelling and brooding in it and difficult to overcomeit. Evil BN is already an expert and can even parade its evilness. It is difficult to unearth the Evil BN.

Christy913 - 55 years given to the devil, why not 5 years to another devil. We wouldnt know angel or devil until we give it a try, right? Anyway, 5 years in Penang, Kedah & Selangor have proven otherwise.

Progressive - In the silly system of US government - the President is not supreme. It is the US Congress - both Upper and Lower that determines the course of action together with the President. The American people choose to clip the Democratic President Obama's wings by voting in a Republican majority in the House. This is why some of Obama's policies were rejected in the House. But MANY promises like the historical Health Care reform - Obama pushed through. We would rather have a Obama here in Malaysia rather than a Gerorge Bush, Husni Mubarak or Marcos all combined into one as Mahathir or his legacy crony policies. Selangor had not gone bankrupt. Instead it has accumulated a record RM 2 billion surplus - even with their free water and other freebies. We have faith. We will turn over GE 13 to Anwar and his professionals in Pakatan. And our beloved nation will be saved. It's Time for Change !
