Let Ibrahim Ali contest Galas 'buy-election'.......

Shah Alam Member of Parliament Abdul Khalid Samad today challenged Perkasa President, Datuk Ibrahim Ali to contest for the by-election in Galas to prove that he is really needed by the Malays. Speaking to reporters at his office in Shah Alam, Khalid said by contesting the by-election it could prove to people that Perkasa is not a tool of Umno.

“I would like to dare Ibrahim Ali, if he really thinks that Malay people need him, go and contest the by-election in Galas and prove it,” said Khalid.

“By contesting the by-election, it can refute the talk that Perkasa is a tool of Umno. Show to the people that conflicts between Perkasa and Umno are not a ploy,” he added.

Besides that, Khalid said the decision by Election Commission (EC) that has set up October 26 for the nomination day and November 4 for the by-election Day as Umno’s strategy to make sure that Kelantan people that reside outside the state cannot return to vote.

“They know that they cannot win the election, that’s why they are using the EC and set that date for the election. This is totally unacceptable. EC should be an independent body. They should not be used by the government,” said Khalid.

“This is their (Umno’s) dirty strategy to make sure that many Kelantan people outside that state cannot come back to vote,” he added.

“Besides that, it seems like they are only relying on one person for this by-election. We can see that they are too dependent on Ku Li (Tengku Razaleigh) who, all this while, was neglected by them,” he added.

“This is enough to show that BN now is not strong. They only depend on one personality. If they can they would want Ku Li to be the election director and also the candidate. This is enough to show how desperate they are. This also shows that they are not strong as they claimed,” said Khalid.
