“They are not going (to be let off) scot-free. But they just feel victimised because they feel there is another valid explanation and had no intention to cause racial (divisions),”
He further defended the protesters, saying that “they just wanted their voices to be heard”. Although the protestors reportedly did not have a permit the minister said “the protest was not big and they (organisers) were very respectful of the Selangor sultan”.
However, today, the Home Ministry has ordered the police to take action against those responsible for dragging a cow’s head to the Selangor secretariat building in Shah Alam last week to protest against a relocation of a Hindu temple.
“The police have identified the individuals involved,” Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said in a statement here. Those responsible should be charged in court, he said, referring to the Aug 28 incident when demonstrators from Section 23 in Shah Alam brought a cow’s head to the building in protest against the state government’s decision to relocate a 150-year-old Hindu temple there from Section 19.

SEREMBAN: Nampaknya negara akan menyaksikan satu lagi pilihanraya kecil iaitu pilihanraya kecil yang ke-9 apabila ADUN Bagan Pinang, Azman Mohd Noor meninggal dunia sebentar tadi.
Azman Mohd Noor, Barisan Nasional assemblyman of Bagan Pinang in Negri Sembilan, died on Friday, reportedly of a heart attack. With his seat now vacant, the nation will have to brace itself for the ninth by-election since the 12th general election in March last year.
