Sirul patut ceritakan sahaja semuanya...

“Sirul ni budak baik, kerja dia jaga menteri. Semua tempat dia pergi. Dia tak de cerita apa pun kat makcik sehinggalah dia ditangkap,” katanya menurut Harakahdaily.

Sirul, living it up in Sydney, should just spill the beans...

Life must be good being Sirul Azhar Omar – the man on the run after brutally murdering a woman, but still able to enjoy the finer things in life.

Life in a foreign country to escape the gallows in his native Malaysia - check. Internet and mobile phone access while in detention - check.

Getting to feast on his favourite meals cooked by his loving mother – check again.

For those who go "wait, what?" after reading the last line, that's exactly how the convicted murderer is living the life in Australia. He is currently in Villawood detention centre in Sydney after fleeing Malaysia last October.

The Rakyat Post reported that Sirul's mother, 74-year-old Piah Samad, would deliver his favourite dish - anchovies sambal for her son if she gets clearance from the Australian authorities.

The report, taken from Harakahdaily, also said that Piah brought his other favourite dish "spleen rendang", which was not let past at the Sydney International Airport by Customs officers.

She was reportedly in good spirits, saying "It's okay, we will cook another one."

The septuagenarian also cooked fish head curry for those in her entourage - a group of seven including PAS information chief Datuk Mahfuz Omar, her daughter Noriatin Umar and a lawyer.

"Sirul is a good boy, his job is to take care of the ministers. His job takes him to all places. He did not tell me anything until he was arrested," she was quoted as saying.

Now, there is really no reason for Sirul to return to Malaysia (not that he intended to in the first place).

To date, it is unclear how a lowly paid ex-police commando could afford to live abroad since October last year. It is not known who funded his “escape” and his stay there.

Now that he has his accommodation taken care of, he still gets to enjoy all the comforts of home, thanks to PAS.

Yes, this is the same party which is part of the Pakatan Rakyat coalition, which went to town bashing Sirul and his partner in crime Azilah Hadri, as cold blooded murderers in the wake of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu's murder, and the years that followed.

Now, they are bending over backwards to serve him, and his family, hoping that he would reveal something earth shattering that will annihilate the current administration and enable PR to take over Putrajaya.

The question is, will Sirul reveal anything at all that would put years of speculations to rest, or is he taking PAS and the watching world media for a ride?

He is after all, a man convicted of the most vile murder the country, and even the world, has seen in recent times.

If Sirul was really serious about making up for his “sins”, he should just cut the crap about this scheduled tele-conference that never was, and just spill the beans, regardless of what happens afterwards.

If he was man enough to shoot a defenseless pregnant woman and blow her up to bits, he should find the testicular fortitude to own up and tell all to the media. - V Shuman, theantdaily

Zahid diminta perjelas status kewarganegaraan ‘raja judi’...

Menteri Dalam Negeri, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi digesa memberi penjelasan menyeluruh berhubung status kewarganegaraan raja judi, Paul Phua Wei-Seng.

Zahid - Clarify Phua’s citizenship...

PKR has urged Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to clarify the status of alleged gambling kingpin Paul Phua’s citizenship status following reports that Phua is a Montenegro citizen.

Ahmad Zahid wrote a letter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) late last year defending Phua after the latter was arrested by FBI for alleged gambling racket activities in Las Vegas.

He even claimed in the letter that Phua had assisted Malaysia in national security matters.

And PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil (left in photo) had demanded that Ahmad Zahid clarify Phua’s citizenship status as any Malaysian with a dual citizenship will automatically cease to be a Malaysian citizen as per the federal constitution.

“This report, if true, brings about serious implications and raises some questions,” Fahmi said.

“Is Phua still a Malaysian citizen? Does Zahid know about Phua’s citizenship status when he wrote the letter to FBI?” he asked.

He also queried whether Phua was still assisting Malaysia in national security matters if he was no longer a Malaysian citizen.

Ahmad Zahid had refused to explain the national security matters in which Phua had assisted the government, claiming that such details are protected under the Official Secrets Act (OSA).

“I want Ahmad Zahid to provide a full explanation on this matter,” Fahmi said.- mk
