Pak Samad - Demo 'biadap', lepas Ambiga, depan saya pula kot?...

NONE"Ada cara lain tapi dia memang nak memilih (biadap). Dia sengaja. dia memang nak berbiadap," katanya lagi.

Senaman punggung: Jangan dilihat macam lembu membuang najis...

Laporan portal berita mengenai tindakan sekumpulan bekas tentera mengadakan 'senaman punggung' depan rumah Pengerusi Bersama Bersih Datuk S Ambiga dekat ibu negara pagi tadi janganlah sampai dilihat seperti lembu-lembu sedang meragut rumput.

Pak Samad: Am I next for 'insolent' butt exercises?...

Based on the events of the last few days, Bersih co-chairperson A Samad Said will not be surprised if he becomes the next target of those who did the ‘butt exercises’ in front of his colleague Ambiga Sreenevasan’s house.

“I feel that it is insolent, an insolent act. It is not impossible that they would do it in front of my house next. Not impossible,” Samad said when asked by Malaysiakini today.

NONEAs to how he would react to a group of people wriggling their buttocks in front of his house, he said: “The reaction will not be from me, but from the public. Just go ahead and do it.”

Samad chuckled when asked why the protesters chose to vent their anger against Ambiga and not him, and replied that the question should be directed to the protesters.

The national laureate also said the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association may have been encouraged by the police statement that the ‘burger protest’ was not a
criminal offence.

“The deputy inspector-general of police said it is not wrong to demonstrate in front of Ambiga’s house... this may have encouraged it. So the people did it again,” he said.

‘Laws interpreted by the powerful’

NONEThis morning, about 15 people performed ‘butt exercises’ to condemn Ambiga (right in photo), who they accused of smearing the country’s name.

Asked how he felt about protests being allowed in residential areas and not in a public area meant for gatherings, Samad said: “This is because the law is interpreted by the powerful.”

He added that the protests, which are “acts of intimidation”, would not weigh down Bersih’s momentum.

However, Ambiga surprised them by coming out of her house and offering them canned isotonic drinks.
The protesters declined, saying that as Malay Muslims, they “only drink lukewarm water”.

On May 10, a group of small traders set up a burger stall in front of Ambiga’s house in upmarket Bukit Damansara, claiming that they had suffered losses due to the Bersih 3.0 rally on April 28.- malaysiakini

Pak Samad: Ignore the Home minister...

Bersih 2.0 co-chairman A Samad Said said Malaysians should just ignore Home minister Hishamuddin Hussein’s allegation that there were parties who wanted casualties at the Bersih 3.0 rally last month.

“I am thinking, this should not be a concern,” said Pak Samad as quoted by news portal TV Selangor.

Hishamuddin and deputy inspector general of police Khalid Abu Bakar (left) have alleged that there were parties who wanted deaths during the rally, backing the claim with a video footage.

But according to Pak Samad (right), such an allegation is a norm.

"There is no need to respond, because the former inspector general of police has spoken, the former prime minister has spoken, now the Home minister. After this, there will be more who say (likewise),” chided the Malay literary icon.

The government recently appointed Genting deputy chairman and former inspector-general of police Hanif Omar to head an 'independent' panel to investigate the violence at the rally. Hanif's appointment comes despite his public condemnation of Bersih 3.0 as 'communist-inspired'.

Mat Sabu: Seek professional treatment

Meanwhile, PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu lashed out at Hishamuddin and Khalid, saying the duo were "talking nonsense".

Mat Sabu recalled a statement by Khalid not long ago dismissing allegations of criminal breach of trust in the National Feedlot Corporation saga involving the family of Wanita UMNO head Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

He also reminded of Hishamuddin's claim that the police's confiscation of cameras during the Bersih 3.0 rally was 'standard operating procedure'.

According to Mat Sabu, both statements were proof enough that the duo had no credibility.

“The minister is talking nonsense. It is good for him to seek professional treatment,” the Penang politician quipped in his trademark humour.-harakahdaily
