The satus quo is maintained following the triple by elections , with BN retaining its East Malaysia state seat in Sarawak. However , the people in Peninsular Malaysia decided otherwise with opposition PAS and PKR maintaining the respective seats they held after the March 2008 general election.

PAS said the result in which their majority for that seat rose to 2,789 votes from 1,566 votes was a judgement by the people of a putsch staged by PM Najib Razak this year to seize power in the state.

"People are just sick with the political turmoil in Perak and this is an indictment on them (the gomen)," PAS Deputy President Nasharudin Mat Isa said after the results.

Muhyiddin says 'the feel-good factor' from Mr Najib coming to power on Friday is still 'too new and has not sunk in.'

Hishamuddin said, "You must understand, this is not our seat and not our state, we did not lose our own seat. So to look at it in such a defeated manner... I am not prepared to do that."

Tumpang Sekole : Hellooooo, Hishamuddin, it was an UMNO held seat all along till 2008. In fact UMNO retained the seat over 8,000 majority thru a Gerakan chinese candidate....what a shit are you talking about.............!

With a brand new UMNO President and Prime Minister, BN still lost. With a brand new slogan one Malaysia, BN still lost. With the combined might of two of its strongest men of UMNO in Mahathir and Najib, and combined heavyweights of Muhyiddin, Khairy,Samy Vellu, BN still lost.

Hadiah kemenangan untuk Najib kerana menjadi PM hanya datang dari Batang Ai di mana calon BN menang.

BN victory in Batang Ai wasnt a suprise at all. With MAFREL, reporting that government machineries are heavily used. In this “buy election” fear and favour would likely to have been used. Even the ballot boxes were transported without the parties representaives(wakil calon). So how do you know whether the ballot boxes were being swapped while in transit or not?

UMNO memperolehi "hatrick", tonggek di Permatang Pauh, kalah di Kuala Terengganu dan terlentang di Bukit Gantang.........

Pokoknya ini adalah "pungutan suara" terhadap Najib, Mahathir & the UMNO goons.........
