Bersih achieved what it fought for.....

Minister of Information,Zainuddin Maidin said, “Do you believe thousands of people will be coming for the rally? Don’t be so silly as to be taken in by them,” he said, adding that even the Umno annual meeting could not gather such a number of people. Indirectly Zainuddin Maidin admits that UMNO can never gather a large crowd and can only do that by enticing its members with pocket money, transport,nasi bungkus and mineral water.

The gomen says mass rally would cause traffic disruption. Helloooo......brader.......Probably
the gomen forgot that it was the police roadblocks that stretched all the way from north to south,east to west of the country that caused traffic disruptions. With so tight a dragnet laid by the police to stop people from attending this rally,yet more than 50,000 manage to 'bolos' thru.

Imagine,if the police were cooperative enough and had helped to maintain the traffic flow,more than 500,000 would had converged to KL and the whole event would be over within a couple of hours.

But Pat Lah said,“Tapi saya mesti kata saya pantang dicabar". While TV1 and TV2 have been playing up the message that "demonstrasi selalu berakhir dengan keganasan". Probably they were referring to the demonstration led Khairy,a beruk jalanan himself,who apparently broke thru a security cordon to get to,Condoleeza Rice.


So cabar it was. The police and FRU brought in their artillerry and hell broke loosed.The crowd were a peaceful lot and didnt provoke or intimidate those lawmakers. Though,under tight security, Bersih managed to achieve what it came for...

Its up to gomen and SPR,but will they listen or remain blind 'n' deaf......
