Dr.Mansor Othman is TKM1 Pulau Pinang.........

Penanti state assemblyman Mansor Othman was sworn in today as Penang deputy chief minister I before the Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas at his Seri Mutiara official residence here.

Mansor, 59, was handed his letter of appointment and proceeded to take the oath of office and loyalty and the pledge not to divulge official secrets.

Mansor, who is the Penang deputy chairman of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), signed the letter of appointment, witnessed by State Secretary Datuk Zainal Rahim Seman.

Following Mansor's appointment as the deputy chief minister I, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng announced a minor reshuffle of four of the state executive council portfolios, involving Lim himself, Mansor and state executive councillors Wong Hon Wai and Law Heng Kiang.

Lim will now hold the Land Development and Land Affairs, Entrepreneurship Development, Information and Heritage portfolio, Mansor the Industrial Development, International Trade, Cooperatives and Community Relations portfolio, Wong the Town and Country Planning, Housing and Arts portfolio, and Law the Tourism Development and Culture portfolio.

Lim said it was felt that the executive council portfolios should be rotated to provide the best service to the people.

He also said that he would take over the chairmanship of InvestPenang, a state government investment promotion agency, from Abdul Malik Abul Kassim who is also the chairman of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee.

I wonder where is Kak Min? She would be TKM1 today if she had won in Penanti. But its the rakyat who has the final say.

Unless she goes to court, like her Perak sidekick, the court of appeal MB Zambri, and that will be another story to tell.

Tahniah Dr. Mansor Othman.............

cheers.
