Sampul PERKASA putih, BN pun putih, so apa problemnya...

"Saya hairan mengapa beliau kata lain? Sampul PERKASA putih sampul BN pun putih.

Perkasa aims ang pow issue dart at Najib

Perkasa has termed Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's comment on the white ang pow issue four days after the Malay right-wing group committed the mistake during its Chinese New Year open house as being akin to the pot calling the kettle black.

NONE"I want to ask the prime minister, what is the meaning when BN gives out white ang pow at Seri Setia this time?," said Perkasa Youth chief Irwan Fahmi Ideris (right) in a statement last night.

"During Perkasa's issue (of giving out white ang pow), the prime minister said everyone knows that ang pow are meant to be red, now why did BN give out white ang pow?"

In Chinese culture, white is normally reserved for bereavements.

Yesterday, Perkasa secretary-general Syed Hasan Syed Ali defended the Malay rights group's faux pas, stating it was not alone, pointing to a daily's photograph of attendees receiving white envelopes at a BN Chinese New Year event.

Envelopes carry Umno-BN logos

However, MCA Kelana Jaya division chief Ong Chong Swen has clarified that the envelopes carried BN and Umno logos and used throughout the year.

Irwan, however, was dissatisfied with the explanation: "I am curious why the Kelana Jaya MCA chief would say that Perkasa's issue cannot be compared with the ang pow distributed by BN.

"Perkasa's envelope was white, BN's envelope was also white, what is the difference? Oh, if it is white from BN then it is not meant for funerals?

"From the beginning we've said that everyone practices double standards where Perkasa is concerned," he said.
