RM24m Ringgate - Najib's denial a bit too late lah...

So the Prime Minister has denied that his wife bought the RM24 million ring. Lies, lies, lies, he said.

I have some problems with his denial. One, why would the First Lady’s name be on Customs Declaration form?
Did someone use her name to evade paying tax? Was it a gift from someone to the First Lady?

So far there has been no denial (even the simple verbal kind) that the customs form was a fake.
So I can only conclude that the form was bona fide and that the people who the ring from New York was addressed to Rosmah Mansor.

I can understand why Najib is nervous about the ring. If this ring story does not go away, it throws up many issues, including how someone married to a public official can afford a RM24 million ring.

My second problem with this whole ring affair @Ringgate is that both the PM and his wife have been so slow and almost reluctant to offer a denial. If I remember correctly, it was more than a few weeks before Rosmah said anything about it.

And now the PM just gives a denial, without any explanation how his wife’s name ended on the Customs declaration form.

Hoax or no hoax, the very fact that both Najib and Rosmah took quite sometime to deny proved something is not right.
