Pooorah...UMNO susahkan hidup Melayu seluruh negara...

- roketkini

Najib's friendly tycoon Mydin
starts to feel the pain...

I went to our nearby supermarket this morning. It is closing down. I became suspicious when the supermarket did not have eggs for sale. (Can you imagine a supermart that does not sell eggs !!)  Then I noticed their shelves were empty.

One girl said that they were closing down because the “complex owner” wanted to renovate the building. Why renovate if the business is good? The entire complex will shut down. I think easily another 300 workers will join the ranks of the “No Income Nation”.

Folks, more than 1MDB, more than the thievery and the stupidity it is the GST that is killing the economy. The GST must be abolished completely and instantly. No such thing as abolishing the GST in stages. Just abolish it. Now.

The GST has sent prices up sky high. The GST is not just 6%. It has a compounding effect. My belief is the actual effect on prices was at least 15%.  The sad thing is salaries and wages have not increased by 15% since the GST was implemented two years ago. Salaries are stagnating. Or salaries become zero when you lose your job.

That supermart and the complex that is closing down “for renovations” will cause a loss of over 300 jobs.  300 workers will go from “earning some income” to become No Income Nation.

The Mydin chain of hypermarkets and supermarkets has made their first losses in 60 years.

Mydin Mohamed Holdings record huge loss for (FY16), first fall in 60 years.

MD Ameer Ali said retail group “lucky” to maintain same figures this year. The country’s largest hypermarket chain saw sales down by 5%

Unfortunately it was implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).Then fluctuation of US dollar rate and the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 in 2015, first time in Mydin’s history, we reported a massive loss.

The quandary about foreign workers “stifled” business, depend on labour. It is a mess. (In) supermarkets, queues longer (because of lack of staff)difficult to get foreigners to work in Malaysia as policies are unclear Nepal, Philippines, Indon workers  can find jobs elsewhere, better remuneration.

The govt increased levy by RM600 for construction, manufacturing, services.Employer Mandatory Commitment (EMC) introduced on Jan 1, 2017 whereby employers has to pay levy instead of deducting it from employees.

Ameer said wholesale sector, retailers reported substantial deficits last year 2016 retail disappointing growth rate of 1.9% compared to 2015.consumers yet to recover from negative impact of GST introduced April 1, 2015.

Ameer added govt’s decision to reduce cheap sales to four per year did not helpRetailers allowed eight cheap sales in year, five by the law,  three by administration.

Now only allow four, three fixed dates, one decided by administration
I mean (the consumers’) budget is limited. They can only go to one place. If you go to Zara, what happens to Metro and Jaya Jusco?” Ameer queried.

Due to weak performance, Mydin to scale down expansion plans. Our current investment plan is postponed, until we see light at the end of tunnel,” Ameer stated. - source.

Ostb : Well Dato, there will be no light  at the end of the tunnel as long as this Super Moron is in power. The Super Moron does not only not understand anything about anything but he does not care that he does not understand anything about anything.

A ruler with even a little bit of intelligence will ask people who know to explain to him the things that he does not understand. That is called wisdom. But these folks are akin to stunted wild buffaloes. Unbelievable levels of stupidity.

People who have no idea how to run any type of business, let alone supermarkets, hypermarkets, department stores or shopping malls SUDDENLY want to tell shopping complexes how many “cheap sales” they should have.

I can assure you the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumerism will not even know that Mydin Hypermart made their first loss in 60 years or that supermarkets are closing down or even that I wrote this blog post.

Maybe the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumerism will soon tell us how to wipe our backsides. Maybe he will insist on doing it for us too.

RM17 sekotak,no problem,selagi boleh hilang ketagih...

Image result for rokok seludup

Katanya, ia terbukti apabila syarikat pengeluar rokok utama British American Tobacco (BAT) mengambil keputusan menutup kilangnya di Petaling Jaya tahun lalu ekoran jualan produknya mengalami kemerosotan teruk.

UMNO to ‘conquer’ Penang...

Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Mansor must be living in a make-belief world of his own doing. He has come with a new totally preposterous idea that Umno/BN could expand itself through an administrative decree by rendering Penang, Langkawi and part of Malacca as federal territories.

It is obvious that what Umno/BN fails to obtain through the ballot box, then other nefarious ways are thought of to vanquish whatever autonomy is left in the 13 states in Malaysia. This move is essentially back door extension of unitary politics.

Thus, when all else fails, the BN government becomes utterly desperate so much so, politicking becomes dangerous with serious ramifications to reduce whatever freedom the states enjoy under the present constitution.

Perhaps later on Tengku Adnan might even suggest to convert the states of Sarawak and Sabah as federal territories if there is lingering fear that these two states might not be “fixed deposits” to ensure the victory of the BN in the coming elections.

Hell will break loose if Tengku Adnan can deliver what he said in a press interview.

What is the source of his new preposterous idea of expanding federal territories in the country? What is the real motive?

Is it political or an administrative ploy to expand the scope of Umno as the party is facing its worst period as never before in the history of the country.

If Tengku Adnan has the courage, he should come out and say that he was not interested so much in expanding to Malacca or Langkawi but the real target was recalcitrant Penang.

He should come out and say boldly that because Penang is no where within the political parameters of Umno’s divisive politics, the only option left was to “conquer” it through an administrative decision.

Never mind the actual process that might be involved in turning Penang into a federal territory. However, the very thought of it conjures images of the intentions of Umno to punish Penangites for standing up in the last two general elections against the morally problematic BN government.

Penangites who are as Malaysian as the people in any other state, will never subject themselves to arbitrary decisions of the federal government when it comes to their legitimate rights. Most importantly, they will never tolerate any form of subjugation whether it is overtly or covertly done.

Maybe Tengku Adnan should come with a referendum to ascertain the real stand of the Penangites on this matter – whether they want the state to be converted into a federal territory or for the status quo to remain.

The verdict will be a forgone conclusion – Penangites having known the evil designs of Umno/BN will never forsake their territory to an “alien” force.

Tengku Adnan has so much to do as a federal territory minister rather than trying to harp on an idea that is a non-starter in the first place. Maybe he wants to give some fresh ideas to his bosses in Umno at a critical time that the party is devoid of any worthwhile mission.

We are not of those in Malacca and Kedah, but Penangites will never forsake their freedom and autonomy.- P Ramasamy, fmt

Penang jadi W.Persekutuan : Ku Nan dah mabuk todi kot...

“Saya takkan jual Pulau Pinang.

“Dia macam seorang penakluk. Menakluk bebrapa wilayah untuk menambah empayarnya iaitu empayar Kementerian Wilayah Persekutuan,” katanya lagi. – Roketkini.com

No way, says LGE on Penang becoming a Federal Territory

A Bright 2017?

Many had wanted to start the New Year with a measure of optimism in spite of the many uncertainties and the still unresolved, and by now infamous, 1 MDB financial scandal only to recoil in horror over a last-minute pronouncement. A 20-sen hike in petrol price effective Sunday, January 1, 2017 destroyed what little joy was left in those who looked forward to a brighter New Year.

No amount of fireworks that lit the midnight sky could enliven the depressed mood prevalent at that moment in time. Sensing the hopelessness of things I decided, against the wishes of my wife, to tuck in as soon as the din began to subside.

So what is this narrative indicative of? It is crystal clear that Year 2017, like many have predicted, will not be a bright and sunny one. Topping the list of public woes, besides the damning Goods and Services Tax (GST), rationalisation of subsidies and price hikes, is the ever shrinking ringgit that has gained a dubious distinction as the worst-performing currency in Asia.

And to further aggravate the situation, news and photos that went viral on social media of the “first family” holidaying in the Gold Coast and Perth and jetting about without a care in the world, compounded the gloom.

Over in Ipoh a false-sense of bravado unfolded when eight youngsters, with enough testosterones in reserve, decided to scale an outcrop of Gunung Lang, where the whitish letters “IPOH” stands and posed for pictures. Their exploits, recorded on video, went viral and soon the whole country was abuzz with the news, prompting wannabes to do their own but less daring stunts.

A couple of days later a lone wolf, wanting to outdo his compatriots, gingerly climbed the 150-foot unattended crane within the compound of the unfinished Ipoh Convention Centre, in between Syeun Hotel and Ipoh City Council, and uploaded his video on YouTube. And the rest is history.

The nine youths had their five minutes of fame as no sooner as they got back on firmer ground they were summoned by the Police. They were let off with a stern warning not to repeat. In spite of the many negative comments, I feel youthful zest should not be curtailed. We were young once. I must admit I was no angel myself.

The atmosphere in Kuala Lumpur, following May 13, 1969, was tense. The situation went on for a few years. One morning in early 1971 a group of us, in two cars and armed with machetes, wooden spears and two 9mm Brownie pistols (loaded with blanks), staged a mock fight in front of the Pudu bus station. People, fearing that a racial clash was in the offing, fled helter skelter.

In the midst of the mayhem, we slipped away and watched the fun from afar. The police, realising that it was the action of some overzealous army officers from Wardieburn Camp, did not nab us or file a complaint with the Ministry of Defence. Had they done so we would have been court martialed and penalised. We were young then and doing foolish things was to be expected. Need I say more?

Prime Minister Najib wanting to assuage the rakyat’s fear of a shrinking ringgit expressed confidence that measures taken by Bank Negara would stabilise the local currency again. He pointed out that of 149 world currencies, 123 declined in value vis-à-vis the US dollar.

“Three factors influenced the ringgit’s value namely, excessive speculation in offshore currency markets, fall of oil prices and the rise in US interest rates,” he insisted. But he said nothing about the much-touted “crisis of confidence” attributed to his management of the country’s finance.

Image result for Greenback is trading at RM4.48 to a dollar

Deputy Finance Minister, Datuk Othman Aziz was more optimistic. He agreed with most bankers that the ringgit would recover to a fair value of RM4.1 to a US dollar in the third quarter of 2017 (July to September). At the time of reporting the Greenback is trading at RM4.48 to a dollar. I don’t see the inevitable happening any sooner as the price of oil is falling. Iran is selling its oil reserves despite Opec’s assurance of a clampdown.

My prediction is simple – prices of goods and services will go up and no amount of assurances, subtle or otherwise, will halt the surge. With Chinese New Year around the corner the plight of the poor will be more pronounced. What we see today is a dual economy taking place similar to what happened in Indonesia during the economic downturn of the 1980s. The upper class spends without a care in the world while the working class wallows in sorrow due to their poor purchasing power. The absence of shoppers at the Gunung Rapat wet market is an indication.

Which made me wonder when I read the prime minister’s reminder to civil servants during his New Year Speech at Putrajaya recently that “they should not deny the rakyat their entitlements”. What entitlements? - Fathol Zaman Bukhari,Ipoh Echo

Pasai apa harga petrol kita naik, bila minyak dunia jatuh...

Harga minyak dunia jatuh, tapi mengapa harga petrol Malaysia naik?

“Tapi sekarang minyak mentah Brent menurun kepada AS$55.86.

Getaran jiwaaa...melanda hati kuuuuuu...
Annuar Musa : Semua Bisa Diatur...

So Annuar Musa is out! And when the decision was made by MARA Board members, their Minister was not aware that they were deciding on ousting Annuar Musa as their Chairman.

And now their minister,Ismail Sabri, tells us that Najib too was not aware that this was going to happen.

Is Ismail Sabri telling us that MARA board members decided to dismiss their chairman, Annuar Musa, WITHOUT consulting the Minister? Without consulting the prime minister?

Either the Board Members of MARA are a courageous lot who have woken up to the fact that their Chairman is corrupt or they are stupid enough to think that they can get away with dismissing a Chairman who had been appointed by the prime minister.

And then there is also the question of how many board members were complicit in making possible a corrupt Chairman to act corruptly in MARA for the term of his office.

And what about Annuar Musa? He seems to be the least troubled by the situation he is in...and why should he be too trouble when he has powerful friends in Putrajaya?

After all the man who appointed him to be Chairman of Mara, Najib Razak, in whose personal bank account was found to have many billions for which, until today, we are none the wiser as from where it was sourced, is still in office.

Then there is Isa Samad, who, while he was Chairman of FGV, the world's largest palm oil producer, saw a decline in revenue, unusual stock loss amounting to RM57 million in a jointly controlled entity in Turkey, and another year of loss in 2016 as its net loss for the third quarter ended Sept 30 increased to RM94.87 million from RM33.93 million in the corresponding period the year before.

And while Isa is no longer Chairman of FGV his spoils of office seems unencumbered

Taib Mahmud and a host of other Umno and BN "has been" are all rolling in the money and are all free and under no judicial process that will require for them to submit to the court the source of their insane wealth all acquired during the term of their public office!

So why should Annuar Musa be troubled?

If anything, at this very moment, Najib is already thinking where he can next positioned a man of Annuar Musa's capability and experience to further assist him in his odious political agenda.

After all a paedophile is Chairman of  Risda. A "convicted of corruption taker" Isa Samad, was Chairman of FGV......and that mother of all "donation takers", Najib Razak seems to be going from strength to strength as he heads a government that makes corruption and political power the new normal of all things Malaysian!

Have no fear Annuar....Najib is here! Semua bisa di atur! - steadyaku47

Will PAS be able to retain Kelantan...

Is PAS really strong in Kelantan? Is Umno ready to retake the state? Or will there be a new government in Kelantan in the form of Pakatan Harapan and Bersatu in the coming general election?

In my more than 20 visits to Kelantan since 1993, including several extended field research trips for my honours degree thesis on PAS between 2002 and 2004, I have always been amazed by the political sophistication of the people of Kelantan.

Kelantanese elected successive PAS administrations between 1959 and 1978, and since 1990 till today. A strong sense of Kelantan regional sentiment vis-à-vis the federal government is an important factor, then and now.

In all elections since coming back into power in 1990, the confident yet humble Tok Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat (photo, below) was a constant positive factor for PAS. Alas, the wise ulama is no longer with us, since 2015.

The uniqueness of Kelantan includes the strength of its people to reject the ridiculous “Chinese bogeyman” fear-mongering tactic created by Umno. In fact, the “fear of DAP” storyline that often works in favour of Umno in many Malay-majority constituencies, has never worked in Kelantan because Kelantanese are more secure with their identity.

However, with PAS being seen closely aligned to Umno in recent times, and with Umno being bogged down by Prime Minister Najib Razak’s unpopularity, PAS is slowly losing its regional/anti-federal party streak in the eyes of many Kelantanese.

Kelantan boosts a large diaspora of people living in the Klang Valley who continue to go back home to vote. Some researchers believe that more than 20 percent of Kelantan voters reside outside Kelantan. Most of the time, they vote according to national mood swing, which currently does not favour Najib and those associated with him.

Therefore, the myth that PAS could be a national spoiler, as a third force, particularly to Pakatan Harapan, in the forthcoming general election needs to be examined closely. Somehow many political pundits have taken PAS’ strength in Kelantan for granted, without much scrutiny.

A closer look...

A closer look reveals a very different scenario, perhaps even shocking to some people. In the battle for the Kelantan state assembly during the coming general election, PAS may not be able to maintain its third force ambiguity. The fact is PAS may be compelled to form an electoral pact with Umno in Kelantan, whether by choice or expediency.

Assuming Amanah can pose a serious challenge to PAS in 10 of its 33 incumbent state seats while Bersatu is able to do so in five of Umno’s 12 incumbent state constituencies, PAS and Umno may not have the luxury of contesting against each other in Kelantan.

Also, assuming Amanah, Bersatu and PKR do not contest against one another but form a formidable coalition - battling either PAS or Umno, or even both, in three- or four-cornered fights - the major losers won’t be Pakatan Harapan and Bersatu.

If PAS and Umno can’t find an agreement to form an electoral pact, and decide to fight each other - while Pakatan and Bersatu form a coalition to put a single candidate in each seat - no one would be certain of the outcome of the seats, especially the marginal ones.

If PAS and Umno each suffers a 10 percent decline in their vote share - due to their association with Najib - and they still continue to battle in three-cornered fights, PAS may lose Kelantan while Umno can kiss goodbye to its dream of recapturing the state.

In the 2013 general election, PAS and PKR both received a total of 425,291 votes (55.26 percent) while Barisan Nasional obtained 343,416 votes (44.62 percent). PAS won 32 state seats out of 45 while PKR has one state seat, Guchil, which was won with only 49.9 percent of votes.

Of PAS’ 32 seats, 13 were won with less than 55 percent of the votes. Of Umno’s 12 seats in the Kelantan assembly, nine were won with less than 55 percent of votes cast.

In other words, 23 of 45 Kelantan seats - slightly more than half - are marginal seats which would be vulnerable for the PAS government if Harapan and Bersatu put up a formidable coalition while Umno and PAS fight it out against each other.

Never underestimate the political wisdom of Kelantan voters. I have met many Kelantanese throughout the years and I have high respect for them. If the mood changes in Kelantan, PAS and Umno would be forced to form a pact. Thus, the myth of PAS being a strong third force may just be a farce. - Liew Chin Tong,mk

Kenapalah Malaysia tak maju-maju...

Image result for malaysia-korea

Selepas 60 tahun.

Ekonomi Per Kapita Korea Selatan – USD 33,000
Ekonomi Per Kapita Malaysia – USD 11,000

Maknanya ekonomi kita SEMBAB 200% berbanding Korea.

Hari ini ekonomi Korea taklah besar sangat. Cuma 3 kali ganda ekonomi kita jer.

Saya ingat tahun 1997. Korea pinjam berbillion dari IMF. Sedangkan Malaysia hebat.

1997 1 RM = 400 Won
2016 1 RM = 269 Won

Maknanya duit kita SEMBAB 33% sejak tahun 1997 berbanding duit Korea. Hebat.

Korea ada lima puluh brand dunia. Korea ada Samsung, LG, Kia, Hyundai, Park Ji Sung, K-Pop, Running Man dan Gangnam.

Tengok Hyundai & Kia.

Hussein Onn Tendang PAS

Baca seterusnya...

We’re investigating Annuar Musa,
says MACC...

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has confirmed that it is investigating Mara chairman Annuar Musa over alleged misappropriation of funds and abuse of power.

In a brief statement, MACC said it had opened an investigation paper to look into the allegations against Annuar, who was today suspended from his post by the Mara board over the matter of sponsorship of the Kelantan football team by two Mara subsidiaries.

“We will work with Mara’s internal auditors and focus on Annuar’s involvement in the sponsorship of the Kelantan football team.

“Mara’s auditors will investigate the alleged mismanagement.”

The anti-graft body went on to advise the public to refrain from making any speculation about the case and to allow them to investigate the matter accordingly.

Annuar, who is the former Kelantan Football Association president, was previously accused of using Pelaburan Mara Bhd (PMB) funds to sponsor the state football team, which plays in the Malaysia Super League (MSL).

The issue was first brought up by Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who had questioned Mara’s use of “public funds” to “save” the Kelantan football team from a financial crisis.

Tunku Ismail had said Annuar needed to explain PMB and Universiti Kuala Lumpur’s (UniKL) “forced sponsorship” of the football team.

UniKL is a private university owned by Mara.

Annuar, who is an Umno Supreme Council member, had denied using PMB and UniKL funds to sponsor the team.

Annuar stated that Mara had never sponsored the football team and that the placement of Mara’s 50th anniversary logo on the Kelantan football team jersey, valued at RM250,000, had been given free to Mara.

Annuar Musa resigned as Kelantan Football Association president in November last year. He is also shortlisted as one of four people vying for the post of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president in the FAM congress and elections in March.- fmt
