Naib Presiden PKR Rafizi Ramli hari ini mencabar Presiden PAS, Abdul Hadi Awang supaya menjelaskan laporan akhbar Straits Times dari Singapura yang menyatakan PAS akan sedia bekerjasama dengan Umno umtuk rampas Selangor dari Pakatan Harapan (PH) pada Pilihan Raya Umum ke-14 (PRU 14) nanti.

Menurutnya, laporan berita Straits Times (seperti yang dipaparkan di bawah) membawa tuduhan berat kepada kredibiliti PAS dan Hadi sendiri.

“Saya faham bagaimana laporan ST begitu teliti dengan etika kewartawanan dan hanya akan menulis laporan sebegini selepas bercakap dengan sumber-sumber sahih yang dekat dengan kedua-dua pimpinan PAS dan Umno itu.”

Laporan itu dengan secara jelas menyatakan bahawa Hadi Awang, Presiden PAS berhubung dengan Najib Razak, Perdana Menteri “hampir setiap hari sejak beberapa bulan” mengenai rancangan kerjasama PAS-Umno untuk merampas negeri Selangor.

“Najib kerap bercakap dengan Hadi melalui telefon termasuk semasa Hadi sedang berehat selepas menjalani rawatan pembedahan dalam bulan Mei lalu.”

Selain itu, Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, mantan Menteri Besar Selangor juga disebut-sebut sebagai calon Menteri Besar yang ingin diangkat melalui kerjasama ini dan telah dilihat mengunjungi pejabat Najib beberapa kali. 

“Satu dari perancangan ialah supaya PAS bertanding 42 kerusi untuk memastikan undi Melayu kepada Pakatan Harapan berkurangan.

“Oleh yang demikian, saya meminta supaya Hadi membuat penjelasan segera mengenai laporan ini kerana ia ada kesan besar kepada negara dan juga mempengaruhi perkembangan politik dalaman di peringkat PKR dan PH,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan hari ini.

Tambahnya, Hadi juga diminta saman ST sepantas kilat dan buat sidang media tergempar menafikan jika laporan ini tidak benar.

“Jika benar, saya mohon beliau tidak berdolak dalih dan mengesahkan sama ada kerjasama dengan Umno untuk merampas Selangor pernah ada dalam pertimbangan politik PAS sebelum ini,” ujarnya.

Dalam pada itu, Rafizi yang juga Ahli Parlimen Pandan menegaskan PKR  mesti bersiap sedia untuk menghadapi pertandingan tiga penjuru dengan PAS.

“Saya merasakan masanya telah tiba agar perbezaan pendapat di antara pimpinan kanan PKR mengenai perkara ini diselesaikan secara muktamad.”

“Saya menghormati usaha-usaha sahabat pimpinan lain sebelum ini yang masih cuba untuk memujuk PAS walaupun saya yakin tidak ada satu bukti pun yang sahih yang menunjukkan pertandingan tiga penjuru akan menyebabkan kekalahan besar-besaran PKR (dan hilangnya tampuk pemerintahan Selangor) seperti yang diwar-warkan sebagai alasan paling kukuh memujuk PAS,” katanya. 

“Malah, segala kajiselidik yang dijalankan secara telus dan terbuka oleh Invoke yang kaedahnya menepati piawaian antarabangsa menunjukkan sokongan rakyat akan berpihak kepada PKR dan Pakatan Harapan dalam pertandingan tiga penjuru kerana kehendak rakyat ialah untuk menukar kerajaan pimpinan Najib dengan segera,” tambahnya lagi. - beritadaily

UMNO/PAS plan to take over Selangor

Malaysia's ruling party Umno and Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS) are working out a pact to take over Selangor in the next general election, a move that could shake up voting patterns nationally.

Prime Minister Najib Razak and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang have been in near-daily contact for several months, with plans afoot to cooperate in Selangor at a general election due within a year, sources say. Closer ties between the Umno president and his counterpart from the opposition Islamic party have so far been to champion the interests of the Malay-Muslim majority for their mutual benefit.

But coming to an arrangement in Malaysia's richest state could prove a launch pad for further agreements between the two parties nationally. And it could well turn the tide against the Pakatan Harapan opposition alliance, which is already seeing some discord after influential former premier Mahathir Mohamad was unveiled as its chairman last month.

However, both Umno and PAS still need a credible candidate to head the state.

A source familiar with the plan told The Straits Times that former menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim(pix,below), who was removed by his own Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in 2014, is being courted. PKR has led the Selangor administration since 2008. "He has been seen at the Prime Minister's Office several times recently," the source said, adding that Tan Sri Khalid is being cajoled to accept PAS' advances.

Independent assemblyman Khalid, a former corporate captain who gained a reputation for transparent and thrifty governance during his six years in charge of Selangor, confirmed that he had met PAS and Umno officials as well as those of other parties, "but all discussions were for the betterment of the rakyat". "As an independent, I have the freedom to meet any party. For myself, there is no plan to run in the next elections," he told ST in a written response. "I am most thankful that PAS has stood by me till the end (of my administration). But to date, there is no plan to join the party."

Umno and PAS traditionally contest against each other in Malay-majority areas. But ST understands that one plan being mooted in Selangor is for PAS to field candidates in at least 42 seats, more than double the seats it contested in 2013, depriving Harapan of significant pro-opposition Malay votes. Umno and PAS combined would have been just two seats shy of a majority, going by the last elections.

Sources from both the opposition and Umno-led federal government told ST that Datuk Seri Najib and Datuk Seri Hadi have continued to speak regularly on the phone, even while the latter was recovering from heart surgery in May.

That same month, PAS broke ties with PKR, leading to calls for the Islamic party to resign its state government positions. PAS also replaced its Selangor chief Iskandar Abdul Samad - seen as being supportive of a continued pact with PKR - with Hadi loyalist Sallehen Mukhyi.

"Sallehen has assured Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali that PAS is committed to his government. But once an election is called, it is up to Hadi," said a source close to the Menteri Besar, who is also PKR deputy president.

Last Sunday, Mr Hadi asserted that PAS would not cooperate with Harapan as it is made up of Chinese-dominated Democratic Action Party (DAP) and its allies. In an interview with Umno-controlled Berita Harian, he said "our decision is clear when we see the hardline stance against Islam that is displayed by DAP".

Umno's top brass have descended on Selangor in recent weeks to talk up their chances of wresting back the prized jewel they ceded in 2008.

PM Najib could face an internal revolt if ruling coalition Barisan Nasional only narrowly retains its control of Parliament. But winning back Selangor, regardless of what happens elsewhere, could ensure his longevity.

"We will prepare a manifesto for Selangor. We have repented and humbly offer ourselves to Selangorian voters to be a better government," the Premier said in state capital Shah Alam on Aug 6.- Shannon Teoh,The Straits Times

"Kalau jantan, mari kita main dan tunjukkan taring masing-masing di Johor," itulah gesaan Sultan Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, kepada skuad polo yang diketuai Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar.

Mempelawa pasukan itu untuk beraksi di negeri berkenaan Sultan Ibrahim berkata baginda mendapat tahu pasukan berkenaan "handal sangat".

"Saya cabar pasukan polo Sukan SEA (Malaysia) supaya datang ke negeri Johor dan tunjukkan taring mereka yang saya dengar handal sangat," katanya seperti dimuat naik di akaun rasmi Facebook kelab bola sepak JDT sebentar tadi.

Dalam kenyataan berikutnya, tanpa memetik nama Khairy secara khusus Sultan Ibrahim berkata, menteri terbabit hanya masuk ke padang sebagai pemain gantian selepas pasukan kebangsaan mendahului lawan.

"[...] suruh budak (pemain) yang sedang perform berpura-pura mengalami kecederaan," katanya.

Khairy menjadi sebahagian daripada atlet yang bertanding dalam temasya dwitahunan di Kuala Lumpur ketika ini dengan menjadi pemain skuad polo.

Ajak rakyat saksikan bersama

Pada 22 Ogos lalu pasukan negara membenam skuad Brunei dengan 12-4. Skuad kebangsaan bertemu Singapura pagi tadi dengan jaringan besar, 13-2.

Sultan Ibrahim berkata pasukan polo yang bertanding di Sukan SEA kali ini adalah lemah dan menyertainya "hanya untuk cukupkan syarat pertandingan sahaja".

"Ada yang datang dengan handicap rendah, jadi memanglah mudah untuk dikalahkan," katanya.

Justeru Sultan Ibrahim berkata, beliau menjemput Khairy untuk datang dan tidak menghampakan kehendak rakyat untuk melihat pasukan Malaysia itu mengalahkan pasukan Johor.

"Saya akan hantar dua anakanda saya dan dua orang penjaga kuda atau pun saya sekali kerana saya melihat diri saya masih handal lagi.

"Kalau pasukan saya kalah, saya akan akui bahawa pasukan Sukan SEA lagi baik dan semuanya handal-handal belaka.

"Polo di Johor sudah bermula sejak tahun 1884, bukannya semalam baru beranak. Semasa saya menjadi Tunku Mahkota, saya sudah bermain di serata dunia termasuk Piala Dunia untuk sukan tersebut," jelasnya.

Tambah beliau, jika dibandingkan dengan Sukan SEA, ia bukan tandingannya.

"Jikalau anda mahukan perlawanan yang lebih serius, datang ke negeri Johor.

"Saya mempersilakan kepada semua rakyat Malaysia untuk turut sama hadir menyaksikan serta menikmati perlawanan antara pasukan Sukan SEA dan pasukan Johor," jelas Sultan Ibrahim. - mk

Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar has challenged the Malaysian SEA Games polo team, whose players include Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, to pit their skills against the Johor team.

"I challenge the SEA Games polo team to come to Johor and show your fangs since news of your greatness supersedes you.

"Today they played against Singapore. When the team was already winning, he came on and asked the performing player to pretend to be injured.

"So there's a photo of him in the team to be featured in the print media and spread the propaganda to cheat people as if he was victorious and reliable," said the ruler in a Facebook posting. Continue reading...

Just last week Isa Samad was sacrificed on the altar in their temple.  Despite the juicy stories about Isa helping to cover up the alleged scandalous tryst with a female artiste, (rolling up the woman in a carpet and all)  Isa was unceremoniously led to and from the lock-up in orange prison clothes.

The FGV and other Felda scandals have become too hot and radioactive. Isa was at the center of it all. So rather than suffer anymore embarrassment, MO1 and the kleptocracy decided to sacrifice Isa. End of story.

Now the news is out that the IGP is also being fired. Granted he turns 60 and is up for retirement but the talk is there was some resistance. Meaning some people wanted him to be extended. Tapi tak jadi. Some rumour has it that they are using the Agong's name to say that Khalid's tenure would not be extended. Whatever the case Khalid is gone.

Ever since the Ops Gopi news broke, Khalid's time was running out. Khalid is undoubtedly the most unpopular IGP ever, both among the force and among the public. A sickening t_@dy ever ready with toil_t paper to wipe the boss's @$$.

I see a very clear and visible pattern here. It is called using people.

The kleptocracy is focussed on covering its tracks and using others to camouflage their dirty work. Once in a while they do snare the good people as well. The problem with the good people is that they soon realise what is going on and quickly break away from the kleptocracy.

When P Waythamoorthy and the Hindraf complained about the plight of the Indians the kleptocracy made Waythamoorthy a Deputy Minister. He found out soon enough that he was being shortchanged and taken for a ride. They do not give a hoot about the Indians. They just wanted to pull the wool over the peoples' eyes. Waythamoorthy quickly resigned from his post as Deputy Minister.

But the kleptocracy really prefers using the buttkissers and @$$wipes.

Recall Mat Maslan the village idiot? They used him as the whipping post to tell the people about the GST.  For about two years it was Mat Maslan in the news almost everyday. Then after  Mat Maslan had made enough of a fool of himself, they fired him from his post.  End of Mat Maslan.

Same with that Ikan Bakar moron. He bought his ticket out when he appeared wearing his bath towels at the State Secretariat building in Shah Alam. He looked the real idiot. He really made Dumbno look like a chicken shit political party - which it is. He has disappeared since then, although people say the recent ruckus in Shah Alam has his fingerprints on it.

Husni Hanadzlah was also sacrificed. They made Husni say stupid things about 1MDB. Husni looked really stupid on TV trying to  make a silk purse out of a pig's backside.

And just like Isa, Ikan Bakar and the IGP, Husni became too unpopular. He became too much of a liability in the public eye.  To his credit Husni is not known to be too corrupt or scandalous, just foolish.  So Husni left.  End of Husni.

This is the pattern. First they get their  @$$wipes and buttkissers to clean up  their crap for them. When these folks get too covered up with the boss's crap and begin to stink real bad,  they get axed, chopped, sacrificed or get shown the door.

Then someone else is appointed and they start all over again.

So to the likes of Nazri, Keruak, Azeeeeez,  Hamsa, Arul, Siregar, Habibur and Appandi do take note. The moment your stink reaches the top floors  - out you will go.

PAS gilakan UMNO,PKR sibuk nak ngoratnya buat apa?...

PRU14 semakin hampir. Ahli-ahli parti di bawah diminta membuat persediaan rapi dengan menggerakkan jentera masing-masing. Kami diberitahu bersedia untuk hadapi pertandingan lebih dari dua penjuru. 

Kami juga diminta untuk merapatkan hubungan dan kerjasama dengan rakan-rakan di dalam Pakatan Harapan. Ahli-ahli dikerah untuk menghadiri berbagai kursus yang dianjurkan oleh parti demi menghadapi PRU14. 

Kami mahu bertanya, apakah pemimpin di atas juga telah bersedia dengan pertembungan tiga penjuru? Apakah pemimpin di atas juga telah merapatkan saf serta persafahaman di dalam Pakatan Harapan? Apakah kelian juga telah bersedia untuk bekerjasama satu hati satu jiwa bersama-sama di dalam Pakatan Harapan? 

Jika jawapannya sudah bersedia untuk itu semua, apa jadahnya lagi untuk membuang masa dengan Pas? Bukankah kita telah terlalu banyak memberikan masa untuk rundingan dijalankan? Apa perkembangannya? Semakin positif atau negatif? Kalau semakin positif, ya, elok diteruskan. 

Tapi semua dapat melihat lagi banyak rundingan dibuat, lagi banyak pengumuman oleh Pas untuk bertanding di kerusi2 Keadilan, bahkan dalam rundingan pun Pas tidak segan silu umumkan untuk merampas Permatang Pauh dari Keadilan. 

Sekiranya kita mahu berunding, ianya mesti menampakkan hasil dan kemajuan positif. Kalau semakin kusut bahkan semakin menghuru-harakan di dalam Pakatan Harapan sendiri, elok lah berhenti dari berunding. Biar rakyat tahu bahawa kita telah cuba untuk berpakat, tetapi Pas telah mulai jatuh cinta dengan Umno. 

Jangan satu hari nanti bila anjing yang kita cuba lepaskan itu menggigit tangan kita, baru kita teringat kepada kawan-kawan kita yang lain. 

Buat baik berpada-pada. Tidak rugi satu sen pun tinggalkan Pas. Kalau kita perkuatkan Pakatan Harapan dan biarkan Pas diternak oleh Umno, yang rugi besar nanti adalah Umno kerana usaha mereka mahu lihat Pakatan Harapan berpecah akan gagal. 

Kepada pimpinan Keadilan yang masih percayakan Pas, jika berlaku apa-apa yang tidak baik kepada parti ini, saya berlepas diri. Jangan salahkan ahli-ahli di bawah jika berlaku apa-apa kepada parti. 

Sewajarnya dalam waktu yang semakin suntuk ini kita perhebatkan jentera semua parti di dalam Pakatan Harapan bukannya sibuk melayan keegoaan lebai. Biarkan lebai terjun dengan labu-labunya. - wfauzdin ns

1. Sekarang ini musim RCI (Suruhanjaya Siasatan Diraja) dan bermacamlah siasatan yang telah disyorkan.

2. Saya mengalukan RCI untuk peristiwa Memali. Saya punyai banyak bukti, laporan dan cerita berkenaannya. Ini termasuk individu-individu yang terlibat secara langsung dan tidak langsung.

3. RCI boleh buat keputusan sebelum RCI bersidang dan Kerajaan boleh mendapat untung kerananya. Ini tentulah menjadi Terms of Reference (TOR) dizaman ini.

4. Kerajaan jangan adakan RCI berkenaan 1MDB, duit sebanyak 2.6 billion Ringgit dalam akaun Dato Seri Najib, duit KWAP yang lesap, hutang berbillion Ringgit yang tidak dapat dibayar, pembelian stesen jana elektrik dengan harga yang lebih mahal dari nilai pasaran dan dijual dengan harga murah sehingga rugi berpuluh juta, pengeluaran filem lucah Wolf of Wall Street, pembelian harta di United Kingdom (U.K) dan Amerika dengan duit 1MDB mengikut Department of Justice (DOJ). Ini semua bukan jenayah. Pembelian berlian merah jambu untuk isteri dengan harga 120 million Ringgit hanyalah kerana sayang isteri. Salahkah sayang isteri. Demikianlah sayangnya isteri sehingga sanggup curi untuk menunjuk kesayangan yang tidak terhingga ini.

5. Ya. RCI tidak perlu untuk semua ini. Bukanlah A.G telah sahkan ia semua halal.

6. Tetapi banyak lagi perkara yang telah diselesai 30 tahun dahulu perlu disiasat oleh RCI. Pembinaan Menara Berkembar, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Lebuhraya PLUS, KLIA, Westport, dan lain-lain. Semua ini perlu disiasat dengan diketuai oleh tokoh keadilan terkenal berslogan “Just do it”. Buat sahaja apa yang disuruh. Jangan soal.

7. Untuk memulakan siasatan RCI Memali saya siar di sini “ Amanat Haji Hadi”. Dianya ada kaitan rapat dengan peristiwa Memali. Amanat ini menggalakkan perjuangan lawan Kerajaan sebagai jihad dan kematian pejuang adalah syahid.

8. Dengan itu, pada 19hb November 1985, jam 11 pagi, pasukan polis diserang hendap (oleh orang dekat rumah Ibrahim Libya) dan seorang Inspektor dan seorang Sarjan polis dibunuh, seorang lagi Konstabel cedera parah. (Dari ucapan Pemangku Perdana Menteri di Parlimen pada 20 November 1985).

Is it wrong to love your wife? 

Dr M's sarcastic take on 'pink diamond'

Dr Mahathir Mohamad, with his trademark sarcasm, took a swipe at Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor.

In a blog posting this evening, the former premier mentioned the “pink diamond” when complaining about how Royal Commissions of Inquiries (RCIs) are not established for the 1MDB scandal, the RM2.6 billion in Najib's personal accounts and others.

“The purchase of a pink diamond worth RM120 million is because of love for the wife. Is it wrong to love one's wife?” he asked.

In its last civil forfeiture filing related to 1MDB on June 15, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) alleged that businessperson Jho Low had acquired the 22-carat pink diamond pendant and necklace for the wife of “Malaysian Official 1” (MO1) valued at US$27.3 million.

The suit suggested that this was from the US$620 million which Najib was said to have returned to his Saudi royalty donor, who purportedly gave him the RM2.6 billion with no strings attached.

Following last year's DOJ suits, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Abdul Rahman Dahlan had confirmed that MO1 was Najib. However, he argued that since he was not named, the prime minister was not subject to investigation.

Last January, following investigations by various authorities, attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali had stated that there were no grounds for action to be taken against Najib.

Najib, on the other hand, has denied abusing public funds for personal gain. He claimed the allegations accusing him of embezzling 1MDB funds were aimed at toppling him from power.

Referring to the list of issues he mentioned, Mahathir said there was no need for RCIs for these.

“Hasn't the AG legitimised all of them?” he added.

However, he said there were numerous issues from the past which warranted RCIs such as the building of the twin towers, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, North-South Highway (Plus), KLIA, Westport and others.

“All these must be investigated, headed by figures of justice known for the slogan 'just do it'. Do what has been told, don't ask questions,” he added.

At present, an RCI is investigating Bank Negara's foreign exchange (forex) losses during Mahathir's tenure and if there were attempts to mislead Parliament and cabinet.

There are also calls for an RCI to be set up to investigate the 1985 Memali incident, which claimed 18 lives. - mk

Goodbye Khalid...

For days the tussles have gone to and fro behind the scenes at Bukit Aman and Putrajaya, according to inside reports, between those struggling to extend the tainted Chief of Police’s tenure beyond his formal retirement date and those who wanted him out.

In favour of getting that extension was on the face of it, of course, the Prime Minister, who has been busily working to extend all his key henchmen in office to steer his way through the next election, which he now looks almost certain to delay for as long as possible.

Najib got his way with the Chief Justice and President of the Court of Appeal.  However, in the case of the Chief of Police, Sarawak Report has learnt that the Agong put his foot down and refused to sign the order.  It means that Khalid Abu Bakar has to go, although, in a further twist, some are whispering the refusal might have been a ruse orchestrated by Najib to get rid of an IGP, who knew too much, whilst pretending to have supported him!

News of the dramatic turn of events, after it had been more or less accepted that the IGP’s extension was a done deal, seeped out at the weekend.  Now Sarawak Report has recieved evidence, in the form of a signed internal PDRM order to prepare for Abu Bakar’s retirement parade to be held at 3.30pm on September 4th – full uniform and regalia, of course.

Khalid will be replaced by the current Deputy Inspector General, Noor Rashid. He in turn will be succeeded by Dato Sri Fuzi, who is regarded as a Khalid loyalist.

Agong Refused To Sign!

The refusal of the Agong to sign the IGP’s extension was a shock and ostensibly a major slap in the face for the Prime Minister, who has been pushing past Malaysia’s constitutional rulers with numerous controversial measures over recent months, most particularly in the case of his emergency powers legislation, which the Council of Rulers objected to, only to be ignored.

It is widely recognised that support from Khalid was what saved Najib’s own position back in July 2015, when joint task force investigations had recommended the Prime Minister be charged over the theft of public money from 1MDB.

It was the IGP who warned Najib that the then AG, Abdul Gani Patail, had drawn up charge sheets to that effect and that the then Agong had agreed to order his removal from office, in favour of his then Deputy, Muhyiddin Yassin.

Thanks to that warning, armed officers were detailed to arrest the AG as he arrived for work on the day that Najib was due himself to be confronted and instead they escorted the country’s most senior law officer back to his home and unconstitutionally ordered him at gun-point to resign for ‘health reasons’.

So, Najib and Khalid are effectively ‘in it together’ and Najib had made clear he wanted Khalid in situ for GE14 – or at least needed to pretend he did (there ought be no real justification for extending a police chief for an election).

However, the IGP has become an increasing liability with exposures over recent weeks of his extensive ties and family connections with the leader of an alleged major police protection racket.

After evidence was published through this website that Khalid and a web of his closest staff associates in the police vice and gambling units had been in close and regular contact with the ring-leader known as Gopi (Gopinathan Krishnan), pressure had come direct from the PM’s office to put a lid on the Malacca-based investigation, which had at first been encouraged on the part of the MACC.

The investigation has now indeed been put on ice. Deal To Drop The Gopi Investigation?

Sarawak Report has been informed that the deal behind the IGP’s departure was a simple one. In return for Khalid stepping down he has been promised that no action will be taken against him and his CID Chief Mohamad Salleh and others over the ‘Ops Gopi’ investigation, despite the mounds of evidence linking him to the police protection racketeers.

The fact that top vice cops were shown to be in frequent contact with Gopi for reasons yet to be identified will now apparently no longer be investigated.

Kalu tragedi Memali digali akan jumpa Amanat Hadi...

Amanat Haji Hadi dipercayai menjadi punca 

budaya takfiri sebahagian pengikut PAS.

Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang tidak boleh menafikan peranan amanatnya, sehingga tercetusnya tragedi berdarah Memali yang mengorbankan 18 nyawa, sekiranya dipanggil oleh Suruhanjaya Siasatan DiRaja (RCI).

Menurut bekas Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Noor, tragedi berdarah itu berlaku bertitik-tolak dari ketaksuban pengikut PAS terhadap kenyataan Hadi dalam ceramahnya di Kuala Terengganu yang dikenali sebagai ‘Amanat Hadi’.

“Sekiranya RCI diadakan, tidak dapat dielakkan hakikat tentang peranan Hadi melalui ‘Amanat Hadi’ sehingga berlakunya tragedi berdarah Memali,” katanya.

“Kertas putih tentang tragedi Memali sudah ada. Sepatutnya kerajaan bentangkan di Parlimen kertas putih itu dan bahaskan semula. Tetapi kalau sudah kehendak kerajaan hendak buat RCI, terserahlah,” ujarnya.

"Ada dua elemen penting dalam Amanat Hadi. Pertama, dia kata orang-orang Islam tidak perlu menjadi Kristian, Yahudi atau Nasrani untuk menjadi kafir, sebaliknya cukup dengan mengamalkan politik suku dan agama suku.

"Kedua, Hadi juga kata perjuangan yang mereka lakukan adalah jihad dan sekiranya terkorban dalam perjuangan, mati mereka adalah syahid," ujar Rahim lagi. Sekarang macam mana?

‘Amanat Hadi’ yang ‘dianuti’ rata-rata pengikut PAS ketika itu dilihat menjadi punca kepada budaya takfiri atau kafir-mengkafir sehingga mencetuskan kontroversi dan perpecahan masyarakat Islam negara ini khususnya di kawasan Pantai Timur Semenanjung Malaysia, Terengganu dan Kelantan.

Ia telah menyebabkan kes solat dua imam dilaporkan berlaku selain perceraian dan timbulnya isu pulau-memulau serta tidak makan sembelihan orang UMNO.

Amanat itu antara lain cuba menggambarkan perjuangan UMNO sebagai ‘kafir’ dan sekiranya seseorang itu mati melawan ‘puak-puak ini’ maka ia dianggap sebagai mati syahid.

Taksub Amanat Hadi

Menurut Rahim, meskipun ‘pertempuran’ Ibrahim Libya dan pengikutnya bukan arahan PAS, namun ketaksubannya terhadap ‘Amanat Hadi’ menyebabkan pasukan keselamatan terpaksa mengambil tindakan.

“Apa yang Ibrahim lakukan bukanlah arahan parti tetapi dia sudah mengikuti ‘Amanat Hadi’ dengan begitu mendalam dan disebabkan itu polis terpaksa mengambil tindakan.

“Ada dua elemen penting dalam ‘Amanat Hadi’ ini. Pertama, dia kata orang-orang Islam tidak perlu menjadi Kristian, Yahudi, Nasrani untuk menjadi kafir, cukup dengan mengamalkan politik suku, agama suku, mereka sudah menjadi kafir.

“Kedua, dia kata perjuangan yang dilakukan mereka adalah jihad dan sekiranya terkorban dalam perjuangan, mati mereka adalah syahid,” katanya.

Ketika diminta mengulas cadangan itu, bekas Ketua Polis Negara dari tahun 1974-1994, Tun Mohamad Hanif Omar mempersoalkan maklumat apa lagi yang mahu dicari dalam tragedi tersebut.

“Apakah sebabnya mereka masih tidak puas hati? Apakah perkara penting yang masih belum terjawab?” soalnya, turut dilaporkan portal The Malaysian Insight.

Selain mungkin kerana kertas putih peristiwa Memali sudah pun dibentangkan di Parlimen pada 26 Februari 1986 oleh Timbalan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Dalam Negeri ketika itu, Tun Hanif juga mengingatkan bahawa setiap RCI akan mempunyai kos tersendiri yang akan ditanggung oleh rakyat.

Ketua Parlimen DAP, Lim Kit Siang dalam kenyataannya hari ini berkata, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang adalah antara individu yang perlu dihadapkan ke jawatankuasa RCI tersebut jika ia dibuhkan ekoran kenyataan yang pernah dikeluarkan dalam ‘Amanat Hadi’.

Kit siang berkata demikian mengulas kesediaan kerajaan UMNO-BN untuk mempertimbangkan penubuhan RCI bagi menyiasat kejadian yang berlaku pada 1985 di Memali, Kedah itu sehingga meragut 18 nyawa.

Cadangan penubuhan RCI tragedi Memali itu muncul selepas jawatankuasa yang sama ditubuhkan bagi menyiasat kerugian pertukaran asing (forex) oleh Bank Negara yang berlaku pada 1990-an sewaktu Tun Mahathir mentadbir negara sebagai Perdana Menteri.

Tun Mahathir yang kini mengetuai HARAPAN merupakan pemimpin yang lantang menyerang tanpa henti pentadbiran Datuk Seri Najib Razak ekoran skandal mega melibatkan firma pelaburan berdaulat milik negara, 1MDB. 

Isu lebih 30 tahun lalu ini muncul semula setelah berlakunya kontroversi dalam forum Nothing to Hide anjuran ARMADA, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, baru-baru ini.

Timbalan Presiden PAS, Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man dalam kenyataannnya baru-baru ini mendesak kerajaan supaya menubuhkan RCI bagi menyiasat tragedi lebih 30 tahun tersebut. – Roketkini.com

The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) tasked with investigating Bank Negara's foreign exchange (forex) losses held its first hearing yesterday.

Based on what transpired, former law minister Zaid Ibrahim claimed that the commission needed three days to wrap up its probe instead of the three-month time frame accorded.

He noted how after the first day of the hearing, the six-member RCI established that Bank Negara's forex losses amounted to RM31.5 billion between 1991 and 1994.

“Day two Tun M (former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad) was responsible and day three, the full report can be published,” he tweeted on a sarcastic note.

“Why need three months and waste more public funds?” he added.

Yesterday, the commission's chairperson Mohd Sidek Hassan also revealed that the actual figure was concealed from Bank Negara's reports.

He said the RCI must now determine who wanted the figure hidden.

Former Bank Negara staff Abdul Aziz Abdul Manaf, who was the first witness, was quizzed on why the figure was not reflected in the reports.

He replied that profits and losses were only reported to Bank Negara's board of governors.

Meanwhile, Bank Negara's former assistant governor Abdul Murad Khalid, who also testified yesterday, told the hearing that Anwar Ibrahim, who was then finance minister, was briefed on the actual losses incurred.

Murad claimed that Anwar told him he would have to resign should the figure be made public.

The RCI is expected to complete its probe within three months from the date of its setting up on July 15 and thereafter submit its report to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

It has been tasked with determining the veracity of allegations surrounding the forex losses and economic implications.

It will also determine if Bank Negara's involvement in forex activities contravened the Central Bank Ordinance 1958 or other related laws.

The RCI will decide whether there were attempts to conceal facts and information regarding this as well as the issuance of statements which misled the cabinet, Parliament and public.

The commission has also been tasked with recommending actions to be taken against those directly or indirectly involved.

Mahathir and the opposition have accused Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak of attempting to exact political revenge against the former premier and deflect attention from 1MDB by dredging up old issues.- mk

Zaid is correct. The whole RCI has been scripted already. Just get on with it and publish the findings and conclusion. Basically Mamak is guilty as Hell, and DSAI assisted in the loses. And we lost twice as much as we lost in 1MDB. Sure wan. This is the conclusion. Funny, neither of them took any money personally into their personal account. Now they have to back track and get a junior officer, probably dead, to say that he heard that RM 2.6 billion was deposited into Mamak's account by another Arab? Sidek is just a good servant and puppet. The sad thing is DYMM allowed it. DYMM Agong, can we have a RCI on 1MDB please. That is more relevant.
