Wakil militan IS menghantar mesej amaran kepada Malaysia berikutan usaha negara ini yang giat memerangi kumpulan terbabit.

Menerusi rakaman video yang bertajuk "Mesej Awam Kepada Malaysia" itu disiarkan dalam bahasa Malaysia itu, unit militan IS Malaysia-Indonesia yang dipanggil Katibah Nusantara mengancam untuk membalas dendam berikutan penangkapan ahli-ahlinya.

"Jika anda tangkap kami, kami akan terus meningkat bilangan anggota, tapi jika anda biarkan kami...kita akan lebih dekat dengan matlamat untuk membawa kembali kedaulatan khalifah.

"Mereka yang menamakan kami sebagai Khawarij (ingkar), Daesh (nama lain IS) dan juga sebagai agen Mossad sebenarnya Syiah dan sekutunya.

"Kami tidak akan tunduk kepada sistem demokrasi tadbir urus kerana kami hanya akan mengikut undang-undang Allah."

Selain dari video ancaman itu, terdapat juga satu video yang menyeru 'saudara' Katibah dari Somalia iaitu Al-Shabaab untuk menyertai kumpulan mereka.

Di dalam video tersbut, dilihat salah seorang ahli Katibab, Abdul Halid Dari menggesa mereka untuk berikrar kesetiaan terhadap pemimpin IS, abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

Selain itu, Abdul Halid juga ada menyebut tentang ajaran Nabi Muhammad bagi menyakinkan pejuang di Somalia untuk menyertai IS.

Sementara itu, Pengarah Bahagian Anti Pengganas, Cawangan Khas Bukit Aman, Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin ketika mengulas mengenai video ancaman berkenaan berkata ancaman dan cabaran kepada Malaysia itu mencerminkan pendirian kurang ajar kumpulan Katibah.

"Ia juga membuktikan bahawa IS, terutamanya golongan Katibah memandang negara kita sebagai sekular dan oleh itu menjadikan kerajaan dan rakyat sebagai sasaran.

"Tidak syak lagi ia sebagai langkah membalas dendam terhadap tindakan pasukan keselamatan kami kepada mereka," katanya sebagaimana lapor mStar Online.

Katanya juga, bahagian anti pengganas akan lebih berhati-hati kerana serangan boleh berlaku pada bila-bila masa.

"Kita perlu sentiasa berjaga-jaga dan tidak mampu untuk membiarkan pengawal kami ke bawah," katanya.

Tentang video yang ditujukan kepada Somalia pula, Ayob Khan berkata biarpun ia mempunyai sarikata dalam bahasa Arab, tapi Abdul Halid bercakap dalam bahasa Melayu dan beliau mengesyaki pembabitan rakyat malaysia di dalam kumpulan Al-Shabaab.

"Ini adalah satu perkembangan baru yang menunjukkan lebih ramai penglibatan rakyat Malaysia dalam kumpulan pengganas," katanya. - Siakapkeli.my

Hello Hadi,TPPA was initiated by UMNO and not by DAP...

The DAP has hit out at PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang for his remark that DAP is supportive of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) to support trade in the country, that is purportedly controlled by the Chinese community.

Its secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said in a statement today the party remains “baffled” by Hadi’s “preposterous” claim as Malaysians would expect such misrepresentation of DAP’s position or a racially-tinged statement from Umno.

He said for a PAS leader to indulge in such “baseless untruths” shows that PAS is now not only co-operating with Umno but also adopting its “dirty politics of slander” against the DAP.

He reminded Hadi that the TPPA was initiated by Umno and not by DAP and the TPPA is led by the United States to restrict China’s influence geo-politically.

“If Hadi is so anti-Chinese, he should not be against, but support the TPPA to oppose China.

“Why has Hadi not blamed or criticised Umno? Or explained his failure to get Umno to heed his advice to oppose TPPA, since he is now an adviser to the BN federal government?” Lim asked.

Hadi’s remark came during a rally to say “No” to the TPPA, which will be inked in New Zealand next month.

Lim told Hadi not to misrepresent the DAP’s position of opposing the TPPA, which has been announced several times before.

He explained that DAP opposed the TPPA due to its deep concern about the impact of prices on ordinary Malaysians, the wage-earners and the small-time businessmen such as the small and medium entreprises (SMEs).

He noted that nearly 40 percent of SMEs may close down because of the TTPA, a fact that the federal government has yet to address.

“How can Hadi be a national political leader if he does not understand simple economics?

“He refuses to blame Umno but misrepresents that DAP supports the US-led TPPA because the Chinese in Malaysia control trade,” Lim said.

“Using Hadi’s logic, then Umno must be Chinese, too, for initiating the passing of the TPPA in Parliament,” he said.

“Why then does Hadi continue to work with Umno and even advise the BN federal government?” he asked.

Lim said TPPA is not about race or religion but about its economic impact on the 30 million ordinary Malaysians of all races.

He added that Malaysians want to see a viable alternative that can perform better economically, and not hear speeches full of “baseless or illogical” statements relying merely on emotions and sentiments.

He said Hadi must compete with BN based on economic performance and not empty rhetoric.

“The people must be convinced of living a better life economically under a new alternative to BN, and not replace an economically-distressed country with a bankrupt state,” Lim said.

“DAP can showcase Penang as a model of good economic performance of annual budget surpluses, reduced debt and increased cash reserves as well as a welfare state that is not bankrupt. Can Hadi do the same for PAS?” he asked.

Serpihan pesawat disyaki milik MH370 ditemui lagi...

Video serpihan yang terdampar di Thailand

Serpihan besar kepingan logam melengkung yang disyaki serpihan milik pesawat Malaysia Airlines penerbangan MH370, yang hilang hampir dua tahun lalu, ditemui terdampar di wilayah Nakhon Si Thammarat, di Thailand.

Penduduk kampung yang menemui serpihan itu membuat laporan kepada pihak berkuasa untuk membantu mengenal pastinya, kata ketua daerah Pak Phanang, Tanyapat Patthikongpan kepada Reuters.

“Penemuan bangkai berukuran kira-kira dua meter lebar dan tiga meter panjang oleh penduduk kampung meningkatkan spekulasi dalam kalangan media Thai bahawa serpihan itu berkemungkinan milik MH370 yang hilang bersama 239 penumpang dan anak kapal semasa penerbangan dari Kuala Lumpur ke Beijing pada Mac 2014,” katanya.

Bagaimanapun belum ada pengesahan rasmi yang dibuat oleh mana-mana pihak.

Menurut Patthikongpan lagi, nelayan di kawasan itu percaya serpihan itu mungkin berada di bawah laut untuk tempoh tidak lebih dari satu tahun, jika dilihat daripada teritip di atasnya.

Sebelum ini, serpihan bangkai pesawat ditemui terdampar di sebuah pulau Reunion, sebuah pulau di Perancis pada Julai 2015 tetapi tiada lagi kesan telah dijumpai.

Fishermen from a village in Nakhon Si Thammarat, southern Thailand claim they have stumbled across a piece of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

The object was discovered by fishermen as they were preparing their boats yesterday morning.

The Bangkok Post reported the villagers as sating that the object had washed ashore about 30m away from their boats.

"The fishermen at first thought the debris was a boat wreckage, but on closer inspection they realised it was part of a plane. They moved it to a nearby house until authorities arrived.

The Bangkok Post said the fishermen claimed that barnacles had accumulated on the surface of the debris, some wiring could be seen and based on the barnacles, they believed it had been in the water for about a year

Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 on route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur with disappeared in March 2014 with 227 passengers and 12 crew aboard.

The village chief Pramote Ruangdit told the Bangkok Post yesterday that military officers would only say the piece, measuring about three metres and weighing about 100kg, was part of the nose section of an aircraft and could be large enough to belong to an international passenger jet.

Soldiers from a nearby military camp inspected the object and sent photographs to the air force and aviation authorities.

The results of the investigations would be available within the next two days.

‘That woman' not pregnant, says Sirul...

Former police commando Sirul Azhar Umar has reportedly made a categorical denial of past media reports alleging that Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu was pregnant when she was murdered in 2006.

In a new video recording seen by Malaysiakini, Sirul said the reports were false and dismissed them as “provocation” and “speculation”.

“It is not true at all. It is not true at all, that the woman was with child, I clarify here,” he is quoted as saying.

The 2min. 12sec. video shows Sirul, who is in Australia, discussing past reporting about his case, and mentioning an unnamed woman, a pregnancy and speculation about who the father might have been.

He did not name the woman, nor the “certain person” linked to the case and speculation that he might have fathered the child. However, his references clearly appear to be hints about Altantuya, and the Prime Minister, Najib Razak, who was then defence minister.

In the past, various online reports have tried to link the Altantuya murder to Najib because of her reported affair with defence analyst Abdul Razak Baginda, an associate of Najib’s, who negotiated the government’s purchase of two submarines for the Malaysian navy.

Commissions involving billions were speculated to have been paid.

Although Razak was said to have had an affair with Altantuya, some online reports have speculated about Najib being involved, including speculation that Altantuya was carrying his child.

Najib has maintained that he never met Altantuya and has denied involvement.

In the video, Sirul categorically denied the allegations.

“Some media have mentioned, as have been carried by the mass media, including by online media, that uploaded certain facts which are inaccurate. What was reported is not true at all; what was reported is false, including the allegation that the woman was pregnant, and was with child at the time,” he said, according to Malaysiakini.

Sirul and another former police VIP bodyguard, Azilah Hadri have been convicted of killing Altantuya and blowing up her body with military explosives in a secondary jungle on a hill near Shah Alam.

They were sentenced to death. Azilah is being held on Death Row in prison but Sirul fled to Australia after the Federal Court overturned their acquittal, and is being held in an immigration detention facility.

Malaysiakini said it had sighted the 2min. 12sec. video, in which Sirul talks about his case.

“It is not true at all. It is not true at all, that the woman was with child, I clarify here,” he is quoted as saying.

“Clearly this is provocation, as well as speculation played up by the media, as well as, this internet media, to portray that my case was so terrible and cruel.

“Clearly it can be seen here, as if played up like that, to link it (the case) with a certain someone. As if the baby was fathered by a certain person.

“It is all pure slander. I deny it categorically, the statement as well as the reports carried on the internet and in the media, which said that the woman was with child. It is not true at all,” he is reported to have said.

In an earlier video released last year, Sirul had alleged that unnamed parties are trying to use him to further their agenda, in an apparent reference to a long-running campaign to oust Najib from office. - fmt

What is the motive of Sirul to come out now to deny that Altantuya wasn't pregnant when she was blasted to death. Is he trying to protect someone from being accused of having an intimate affair with Altantuya. It is really pointless for Sirul to make such denial because there isn't anyway now for anyone to prove that Altantuya wasn't pregnant. 

What we want to know from Sirul are questions that has remained unanswered nor raised even during his prolong trial, one of which is, "who was the person who had ordered him to kill and later blast the corpse of Altantuya to smithereens?" 

Surely he would not have murdered that poor Mongolian lass without reason nor instruction. I am sure this question will haunt Sirul, and if he still insist upon keeping the motive of the murder secret till his last breath, the question will still have to be answered by him in his grave. 

Saya menasihatkan Sirul supaya bercakap benar dan janganlah cuba melindungi sesiapa dalam kes seberat ini. Awak bukan saja tidak akan tenang sepanjang hayat awak, dan jikalah benar awak membunuh Altantuya atas arahan, nyatakan siapa yang memberi arahan itu. The Kedah Saga...

We received this comment from one of the readers regarding the recent plot by some Umno members to topple the Menteri Besar of Kedah. Perhaps, these members have found out that the Menteri Besar had received billions of ‘donation’ from ‘the middle east’, or his company had used its loan money for other purposes and had caused loss of Malaysian assets to the hands of foreigners in the bid to reduce those loans.

The comment is as below:

By any measure, merely looking at the countenance of the Kedah Umno leaders and that of Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, the latter looks more trustworthy and dependable compared to some of those seeking to remove him as the Kedah Mentri Besar.

That however is very superficial and indeed subscribing to the shallow notion of judging books by their covers.

But “open the books” and the very first chapter will reveal that some of the “mutineers” have got no moral standing to judge Mukhriz let alone call for his resignation.

For one, the likes of the chief mutineer Datuk Ahmad Bashah Md Hanifah, is part of the Umno/Barisan Nasional team that lost Kedah to PAS in the 2008 general election.

Worse is Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid, though not present during the press conference calling for Mukhriz’s ouster, had explicitly stated his support for Bashah’s move, ignoring that he was the Kedah Mentri Besar when Umno/BN fell in 2008.

Apart from the duo, also present was Minister in the Prime Minister’s department Datuk Seri Mohd Jamil Khir Baharom and he had yet to convincingly clear himself up over the Yapeim foundation scandals regarding the use of public contributions in his overseas trips and purchase of a golf stimulator.

In the line up was also Datuk Seri Azeez Rahim who chairs the national Pilgrimage Fund board or Tabung Haji. He too had not been able to convince the public over last year’s move to allegedly attempt to bailout the scandalous 1MDB sovereign fund by using the savings of pilgrims to buy a piece of land at an inflated price.

To compound the issue further is that it is widely believed that the mutineers were “encouraged” by none other than embattled Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak whose position had been made untenable by Mukhriz’s father Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Given the scandals hanging over Najib’s neck, from the 1MDB to the RM2.6 billion donations into his personal account and his inability to alleviate the cost of living that is seriously affecting the middle and lower income group, he had lost any moral ground to push for Muhkriz’s resignation.

Such is the nausea felt by members of the public over the move that quite a number had turned to the social media and one of the popular tagline is that “Rakyat Mahu PM Baharu Bukan MB Baharu” (The rakyat wants a new Prime Minister, Not a new Mentri Besar).

The tagline underscores the mood of the electorate, not only in Kedah but the rest of the nation.

In the first place, after Umno/BN lost Kedah in the 2008 general election, in a desperate move to win back Kedah, Najib had promised the voters in the State that if Umno/BN won, Mukhriz would be made the MB.

It is widely accepted that many voters in Kedah crossed party lines and gave their vote to Umno/BN merely because of that promise.

After all, which Kedahan is not proud that Mukhriz, the son of their favourite son, Dr Mahathir, is coming home to roost.

While Mukhriz may not be popular with some of the Kedah Umno warlords, as he is not cut from the same cloth as them, he is popular with the larger part of the populace.

The whole move smacks of hypocrisy and the general populace have not missed it.

While the mutiny is not totally unexpected given the awkward relationship between Mukhriz and Najib, the timing of it contributes much to the intrigue.

If Najib and Umno are truly bent on making changes to any state leadership due to weakness of the MB, surely Pahang, Najib’s home state, should be top of the list after the bauxite debacle.

Surely too, Najib and Umno should work towards clearing up the scandals surrounding Jamil Khir, Azeez and to a high degree Mahadzir for the degeneration of the Malaysian education system under his watch. He should be sacked.

And finally, if Najib is truly honest in wanting Umno to regain its former glory, he should sack himself. - jebatmustdie

Najib,PM paling bertuah dapat lagi RM42m...

Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak membuatkan orang ramai tertanya-tanya bagaimana wang RM42 juta disalurkan lagi ke dalam akaun bank peribadinya selepas beliau mengakui menerima wang itu tetapi tidak mendedahkan sumbernya.

Naib Presiden PKR, Rafizi Ramli kurang yakin dengan penjelasan Najib yang berkata beliau menyedari mengenai wang itu tetapi tidak tahu dari mana sumbernya.

"Kita mempunyai seorang Perdana Menteri yang paling bertuah di dunia ataupun seorang badut yang berfikir orang ramai akan mempercayai alasannya bahawa beliau tidak tahu sumber yang menyalurkan RM42 juta itu," kata Rafizi ketika dihubungi.

Beliau mempersoalkan sama ada Najib kini akan mendakwa bahawa dana RM42 juta itu juga adalah sumbangan derma.

"Maksud saya - apa yang pelik, ada orang dalam tempoh yang singkat menerima derma RM2.6 bilion dan kemudiannya menerima lagi derma yang tidak tahu dari mana sumbernya ke akaunnya?" kata Rafizi.

Najib pada Ogos tahun lalu mengaku menerima RM2.6 bilion yang disalurkan ke dalam akaun bank peribadinya yang didakwanya sebagai sumbangan politik dari Timur Tengah.

Ini selepas akhbar The Wall Street Journal sebulan sebelum itu mendedahkan mengenai deposit berkenaan.

Dalam laporan itu, WSJ mendakwa bahawa dua deposit sebanyak AS$620 juta dan AS$61 juta dimasukkan ke dalam akaun bank peribadi Najib pada Mac 2013 daripada sebuah syarikat pesisir luar, Tanore Finance Corp yang selepas itu telah ditutup.

Jumlah yang dianggarkan sekitar RM2.6 bilion itu adalah berdasarkan kepada kadar pertukaran apabila laporan berkenaan pertama kali diterbitkan pada Julai tahun lalu.

Bagaimanapun, laporan itu juga mendedahkan terdapat deposit berasingan berjumlah RM42 juta yang berasal dari syarikat milik negara, SRC International, yang melalui firma perantara, Gandingan Mentari Sdn Bhd dan Ihsan Perdana Sdn Bhd pada bulan Disember 2014. - mk

Menteri Besar Kedah, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir tetap akan tersingkir walaupun beliau cuba mempertahankan kedudukannya.

Bekas Menteri Penerangan, Tan Sri Zainuddin Maidin berkata, ini kerana Perdana Menteri yang juga Presiden UMNO, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak akan memperkukuhkan dirinya dengan apa cara sekalipun bagi mendapatkan kekuatan.

Beliau mendakwa, langkah itu adalah untuk melakukan pembersihan politik demi kepentingan diri Najib dan juga isterinya yang setia.

“Mukhriz mahu disingkirkan dari MB Kedah. Usaha ini sedang berjalan dengan sokongan dari PM Najib kerana gerakan tidak percaya pada Mukhriz ini dilakukan oleh orang-orang yang setia pada Najib dari sejak sekian lama.

Menurut Zainuddin lagi, rakyat Kedah tahu tentang apa yang dilakukan Mukhriz yang tidak lain mahu menghapuskan rasuah dan penyelewengan di bawah pimpinan terdahulu.

While needy students are deprived of Public Service Department (JPA) scholarships, the Prime Minister’s Department continues to be flushed with a RM20.3 billion budget even as the country’s revenues nosedive.

This was the observation made by lawyer and social activist Azhar Harun in a message he posted on Facebook today, when commenting on the country’s students being left high and dry with no financial assistance to pursue degree and pre-university programmes this year.

Art, as he is popularly known, said the truth of the matter was that the country did not have much money but rather than “sit to prioritise its spending” the government refuses to acknowledge this reality.

“The Prime Minister Department for example, sucks (RM)20.3 billion from the national coffers for 2016. A massive 7.6% of our national budget!

“To do what? Print glossy print outs of I Love PM and distribute them to school children and Cabinet Ministers? To maintain private jets that are exclusively used by some very lucky people? To enable whoever to fly off here and there in private jets?

He compared how other leaders were willing to forgo luxuries during hard times although this was unheard of when it came to Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Najib’s Twin Scandals – It’s Not Over Yet, It’s Just The Beginning...

Najib Razak self-proclaimed that the RM42 billion scandal involving his pet project 1MDB was over before the unleashing of New Year 2016 fireworks. So did 1MDB President Arul “Anaconda” Kanda. Was it really over? Going by today’s exchange rate, 1MDB’s US$11 billion in debt have ballooned to a whopping RM48 billion.

Najib’s second scandal, the highly explosive US$700 million discovered in his private banking account, remains a mystery and equally controversial till today. Despite PM Najib and President Arul “Anaconda” declarations that the 1MDB was water under the bridge, the scandal is far from over, let alone the unexplainable US$$700 million scandal.

Guess what, the US$700 million scandal is now a RM3 billion scandal, not RM2.6 billion anymore thanks to Ringgit depreciation. A RM48 billion 1MDB “scam project” and a RM3 billion “donation money” are no chicken feed. They don’t simply disappear just because Najib Razak, Arul Kanda and their band of bloggers and cybertroopers say so.

Let’s digest what Mr. Genius Arul and Najib have done to supposedly solve 1MDB debt problem. 

In a special deal, 1MDB has sold 100% of its power assets under Edra Global Energy Bhd to China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) for RM9.83 billion, when it had bought it for RM12 billion. So, there was a net loss of RM2.17 billion in the bailout. Together with debt, the Edra sale would relieve 1MDB of RM17 billion in debt, reducing its debt to RM25 billion. 

Earlier, there was the debt-for-asset swap with Abu Dhabi’s IPIC (International Petroleum Investment Co). Scheduled to be completed by June 2016, the swap would take another RM16 billion off from 1MDB’s debt account, shrinking its debt further to RM9 billion.

Hey, wait a minute! What the heck was Abu Dhabi getting for taking over the RM16 billion debts from 1MDB? Well, who cares because Abu Dhabi was not only rich but they were dumb. Dr M - Saya tetap akan tumbangkan Najib...

Bekas Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad hari ini mengisytiharkan bahawa beliau masih belum berputus asa dalam misi untuk menumbangkan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

"Saya tidak putus asa kerana saya berpendapat bahawa ini adalah satu perkara yang penting dalam negara kita.

"Pentadbiran Najib telah menyebabkan negara merosot. Ekonomi, politik, sains, teknologi, pengetahuan. Semuanya berkurangan. Kita sedang mundur kebelakang," keluh Dr Mahathir pada sidang akhbar di Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana di Putrajaya.

Kemunduran di bawah pentadbiran Najib, dakwa Mahathir adalah semata-mata kerana presiden Umno itu mahu mengekalkan populariti untuk kekal sebagai perdana menteri.

"Untuk populariti, maka wang digunakan.

"Beliau (Najib) sendiri mengaku bahawa duit yang sebanyak RM2.6 billion itu nak digunakan untuk kemenangan. Kemenangan bagi diri dia,” kata Dr Mahathir yang mengulangi dakwaannya bahawa Najib sendiri mengakui sumbangan dari Timur Tengah itu digunakan untuk membiayai kempen BN pada pilihan raya umum ke-13.

Sementara itu Dr Mahathir Mohamad hari ini memberi amaran bahawa kedaulatan negara menjadi pertaruhan jika kerajaan menandatangani Perjanjian Perkongsian Trans Pasifik (TPPA).

Katanya, pengasas Malaysia berjuang bermati-matian untuk mendapatkan kemerdekaan.

"Kita sepatutnya menjadi tuan berhubung hal ehwal dan masa depan sendiri tetapi sekarang kita akan melepaskan hak dan kebebasan kerana keperluan untuk mematuhi telunjuk TPPA.

"Saya tidak ragu-ragu parlimen sebagi cop mohor akan meluluskan TPPA.

“Itu sendiri adalah bukti bahawa kita sedang membuat persiapan untuk menyerahkan kemerdekaan negara kepada kuasa-kuasa asing dan melepaskan kedaulatan yang diperjuangkan bermati-matian oleh pemimpin-pemimpin kita yang dahulu.

"Sesungguhnya wang (tunai) adalah raja," katanya memberi amaran dalam satu catatan blog yang dimuat naik di Chedet.com hari ini.

Mahathir berkata Menteri Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamad menyatakan bahawa ia mengambil masa dua tahun untuk meminda 26 undang-undang bagi memenuhi keperluan TPPA.

"Ini adalah satu pengakuan yang jelas bahawa TPP menghadkan kebebasan Malaysia untuk menggubal undang-undang yang dianggap perlu untuk negara.

"Undang-undang ini telah diluluskan oleh Parlimen Malaysia kerana ia dianggap penting dan baik untuk negara ini.

"Tetapi kini ia perlu dipinda kerana TPPA nampaknya lebih berkuasa daripada ahli parlimen yang dipilih oleh rakyat dalam menentukan apa undang-undang yang diperlukan negara," katanya meluahkan kekecewaannya.

TPPA akan dibentangkan di Parlimen minggu depan manakala protes mengenainya pula dijadualkan Sabtu ini.

Dr M: I'm not giving up on removing Najib...

Dr Mahathir Mohamad has not pulled the plug on his campaign to remove Najib Abdul Razak as the prime minister of the country, despite the latter appearing to have consolidated his position.

"I have not given up because I feel this (objective) is an important thing in our country.

"Najib's administration has caused the country's decline in economy, politics, science, technology and knowledge. All areas are declining," he told a press conference at the Perdana Leadership Foundation in Putrajaya today.

The decline, Mahathir claimed, was due to Najib's determination to maintain his popularity in order to remain as prime minister.

"For popularity's sake, money was used.

"He (Najib) admitted that the RM2.6 billion (donation) was used for (BN's) victory," the former prime minister said.

Mahathir was directly asked whether he had given up on his quest to seek Najib's removal from office, following a perceived slow down of his harsh criticisms that started since early last year.- mk

Meanwhile, writing in his blog posting today, Dr.Mahathir Mohamad has no doubts that the “rubber-stamp” Parliament will approve the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA). “That in itself is evidence that we are preparing to submit to foreign forces and give up the Merdeka that our former leaders had fought so hard for.”

“Truly cash is king.”

Malaysia is not exactly like the other members of the TPPA area, warned the former Prime Minister. “We have many sensitivities because of our racial mix, our economic disparities, our poverty rates and our low levels of incomes.”

To correct all the economic, political and social problems, certain policies and laws must be put in place, claimed Mahathir. “These are meant for overcoming our domestic problems.”

“But these are no longer enough. If they don’t conform to TPPA conditions they may not be passed by Parliament.”

A part of our independent rights will be eroded, argued Mahathir. “The need to amend 26 of our existing laws carries this implication.”

He was commenting on the Minister of International Trade and Industry (MiTi) Mustapha Mohamad disclosing that it would take two years to amend 26 laws to meet TPPA requirements.

This is a clear admission that the TPPA limits Malaysia’s freedom to make laws deemed necessary for the country, claimed Mahathir. “These laws have been passed by the Malaysian Parliament apparently because they were considered essential and good for the country.”

“But now they have to be amended because the TPPA was apparently more powerful than our elected Parliament in determining what laws Malaysia should have.”

By the same token, future laws to be debated in Parliament are subject to the requirements or conditions in the TPPA, pointed out Mahathir. “Being right and suitable for Malaysia’s needs was not enough anymore. The needs of TPPA will outweigh Malaysia’s needs.”

When those opposed to the TPPA claimed that the so-called free-trade agreement would undermine our sovereignty, and our freedom to act in our interest, they were dismissed as being emotional, noted Mahathir. “But now it is clear that the TPPA will stand in the way of our legislative rights, a fundamental freedom of a sovereign country.”

The founding fathers fought hard to gain independence, to be masters of our own affairs and destiny, recalled Mahathir. “But now we are going to sign away our rights and our freedom because of the need to obey the dictates of TPPA.” - fmt

Nothing personal in calling Anwar a coward...

Former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim's second sodomy trial special prosecutor Muhammad Shafee Abdullah has defended his statements calling the former a 'coward'.

He said the term was meant to describe Anwar's behaviour in court to a lay audience, in particular Anwar's move to make a statement from the dock rather than to testify under oath.

“It's not personal. It's legalistic,” he told the Kuala Lumpur High Court today when cross-examined by defence counsel Ambiga Sreenevasan.

Shafee admitted that following the Federal Court verdict against Anwar in the sodomy trial trial last year, he had given press interviews in which he described Anwar as a 'coward'.

Shafee was appointed deputy public prosecutor specifically for the trial.

He said statements from the dock are usually used by those or are mad or of infirm mind and therefore unable to defend themselves when cross-examined.

However, he pointed out that Anwar was not of infirm mind and instead was a skilled orator capable of talking himself out of any situation.

Ambiga pointed out that it was within Anwar's right to make a statement from the dock and there was nothing in law to limit its use to those who were mentally infirm.

Shafee countered that he did caveat his statements to the media that it was indeed within Anwar's rights.

Ambiga also pointed out that the court had never described Anwar's conduct as cowardly and had instead merely ruled Anwar's allegation of a political conspiracy against him was an unsubstantiated allegation.

“Who cares what the court described?” Shafee retorted to which Ambiga replied, “That is the problem. ‘Who cares what the court described?”

Shafee maintained that his statements following Anwar's second sodomy trial were never inconsistent with the Federal Court decision only 'travelling slightly' from it.

He testified that his intention was not to condemn Anwar who is unable to defend himself because of his five-year prison sentence, but to explain and defend the court's judgement.

He said his statement that Anwar's behaviour was 'cowardly' was consistent with the court's judgement unless the court had said that Anwar's conduct was 'not cowardly'.

Shafee was testifying during a suit he had filed on March 12, last year, a day before the Malaysian Bar AGM, to stop senior lawyer Tommy Thomas and former Court of Appeal judge VC George from tabling a motion against him following the series of road shows the Umno-linked lawyer participated in against Anwar.

Thomas and George filed the motion against Shafee wanting him to be brought to the Bar's disciplinary board over the road-shows and interviews he gave to the media after securing Anwar's conviction at the Federal Court.

They cited Shafee's actions of holding press conferences in criticising Anwar had violated Rules 5(a), 31, 32, 33 and 49 of the Legal Profession (Practice and Etiquette) Rules 1978, and that Anwar who is serving time in prison cannot reply to the claims.

Shafee obtained an injunction to stop the motion from being tabled and today is the first day hearing of his suit against Thomas, George and former Bar president Christopher Leong. - mk

UPSR stail PT3, jangan dok ikut sangat otak Menteri...

Kementerian Pendidikan kat Malaysia ini macam syarikat sendiri. Siapa Menteri yang ambil alih boleh tukar program ikut suka. Boleh buat lah apa pun. Pelan pun boleh tukar. Apa pun boleh tukar.

Masa anak Hussein Onn jadi Menteri, dia pasang Pelan Induk Pembangunan Pendidikan (PIPP). Macam-macam kaedah nak buat. Macam-macam perancangan. Buat itu. Buat ini. Sudahnya tak jadi apa pun. Gagal sama sekali.

Naik pula anak Yassin. Sama juga. PIPP tukar kepada Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia (2013-2025). Konon dia ingat dia boleh hidup dalam politik sampai 2025. Tengok-tengok, tak sampai tahun 2015, dia pun kena sailang.

Macam orang bodoh keluar daripada Kementerian. Semua pegawai yang poyo berambus keluar. Yang caci maki orang pun kena.

Sekarang keluar pulak anak Khalid. Konon nak ubah lagi.

Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) perlu mendedahkan sama ada jika dakwaan bahawa RM4 bilion telah disalurkan ke dalam akaun bank peribadi Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak adalah benar.

Dalam membuat tuntutan itu, pemimpin veteran DAP, Lim Kit Siang berkata, SPRM tidak perlu berdolak-dalih menjawap soalan berkenaan.

Katanya, suruhanjaya itu juga perlu mendedahkan sama ada ia mengesyorkan sebarang dakwaan diambil ke atas Najib berhubung dengan dana RM42 juta daripada SRC International yang dipindahkan ke dalam akaun perdana menteri.

"Dan jika ya, berapa (dakwaan)?" soalnya dalam satu kenyataan media.

Semalam, SPRM menafikan artikel Sarawak Report yang melaporkan agensi itu melengkapkan siasatan berhubung isu berkenaan yang didakwa mengandungi tidak kurang daripada 37 tuduhan berasingan terhadap perdana menteri dan kemudiannya diserahkan kepada Apandi.

Kebetulan, Apandi dalam kenyataannya berkata kertas siasatan mengenai kes itu dihantar semula kepada SPRM untuk penjelasan lanjut.

Siasatan itu menjadi perhatian pada Julai tahun lalu apabila The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) melaporkan dana berjumlah RM2.6 bilion dimasukkan ke akaun persendirian Najib.

Najib kemudian menafikan sebarang salah laku, malah menjelaskan wang berkenaan adalah "derma" daripada pihak tertentu di Timur Tengah.

Beliau juga berulang kali menafikan menyalahgunakan wang rakyat untuk kepentingan peribadi dan berkata dakwaan itu bermotifkan politik oleh mereka yang berkonspirasi untuk menjatuhkannya.

Bagaimanapun, beliau tidak mengulas mengenai dana RM42 juta daripada SRC International yang dimiliki oleh Kementerian Kewangan dan adalah bekas anak syarikat 1MDB.

Menurut Lim, perkembangan terbaru membuktikan kenyataan perdana menteri pada mesej Tahun Baru 2016 bahawa skandal kembar mega itu telah diselesaikan adalah langsung tidak benar. - mk

RM2.6b or RM4b, Kit Siang asks MACC

Dear PDRM, what happened to the billions donated for fighting ISIS...

For the past few days, this region is rocked by the terror attacks in central Jakarta which precipitated the ripple effect in neighbouring countries. Judging by the reaction of the leaders in the region, the most panicky country is of course,  Malaysia.

Indonesia remained calm and its leaders showed great qualities amidst the great adversity they are facing. Juxtapose it with how Malaysian leaders responded to the attacks, there is much to be desired. This is not surprising because the Najib Regime values loyalists of Najib Razak over people with intelligence.

For instance, Federal Territory Minister Ku Nan almost leapt out of his pants just to be the first to announce about potential terrorist targets in Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan, an accountant turned politician had left his brains at home and declared that Malaysia is ill-equipped to fight terrorism because his ministry do not have adequate funding to do so.

Both of their statements can be summarised as an open invitation for terrorists to strike, but do strike at places not mentioned by the minister.

Luckily the proper authorities issued some clarification over those hasty political statements and had quickly chastised those who tried to cause panic and anxiety among Malaysians.

But everyone knows why those two made such callous remarks. They just wanted to justify the new Security Council law they had enacted in order to solidify Najib’s position.

The question people should ask is this: What happened to the billions of secret money which should have been used to fight ISIS?

Nur Jazlan claims that his ministry do not have enough allocation to fight terrorists. Yet we all know about USD650 million (RM2,860 million in today’s currency) was transferred out from his private accounts in AmBank into an account in Singapore.

This happened in August 2013. That money should have been put to good use so that Ku Nan and Nur Jazlan don’t have to issue stupid statements.

According to Raja Nong Chik, about RM2.6 billion had been completely used to fund the 2013 General Elections. It is believed, money was flowing like hell at that time and millions went into the pockets of politicians in Umno.

Shahrir Samad was one of them. That is the price he paid to numb his moral conscience.

Therefore, what’s left is that USD650 million in Singapore accounts.

In August last year, during the height of brown-nosing Najib Razak, it was revealed by one of Umno divisional head that the RM2,600 million money secretly deposited in the Prime Minister private accounts was an appreciation to fight ISIS.

The toady, Wan Adnan Wan Mamat believed the lie that was told to him without even using his brains to ascertain its logic and believability.

Obviously the Najib Regime desperately wants ordinary Malaysians to believe this story. Let’s humour them by pretending we too are going to believe their story.

We need to swallow one stupid pill they have been taking all this while and believe that the billions of money belonging to our overnight billionaire PM was for fighting ISIS.

Let’s also humour them by asking this question – why hasn’t the money being allocated to fight ISIS after 2013? Our security forces need the money badly so that they can adequately fight terrorism. Can we check if money from Najib Razak’s personal bank accounts have been transferred into the bank accounts of Malaysian Royal Police (PDRM)?

Najib Razak is still holding RM2,860 million. Nur Jazlan must ask him to part with that money. After all, Najib Razak himself said he never and will never use those billions for his personal gain. Not even one sen of it.

So when he said he won’t spend it for private usage, all of us who had eaten that stupid pill must believe him. We should never ask for proof of expenses. Because we are all idiots. Unlike Najib Razak.

He is after all, chosen by Allah. One of his sycophants even said that he led the people like how the Prophet did!

The Home Ministry must ask Najib to repatriate those billions to help Malaysia to fight against ISIS. This was the main reason why he became an instant billionaire in 2013 – for fighting ISIS.

Although Najib Razak complimented them for their valour and bravery in June 2014, we must discard this apparent oxymoron and urge Nur Jazlan and PDRM to request further funding from Najib Razak’s personal bank accounts.

Those bootlickers currently loitering the cyberspace must also urge their Prime Minister who was chosen by God to give some loose change for the police to fight on.

After all, they had apprehended one ISIS terror suspect who had a knife and several documents and labelled him as a suicide bomber. And this was accomplished without billions of ‘donation’. Imagine what could have been achieved if PDRM gets RM2,860 million? Perhaps the whole ISIS network around the world would have been crippled!

PDRM, please check your bank accounts again soon. Check it daily until you see billions in it.

As the effect of that stupid pill is wearing off, one can only conclude that the Najib Regime is the most inept, deceitful and idiotic government Malaysia has ever produced.

The dishonesty and the duplicity they portrayed themselves just to cover up their crime is beyond reproach. Time will not be in their favour. History will not be kind to them. - jebatmustdie
