Muhyiddin Yassin, tak payah jaga tepi kain orang..........

Naib Presiden Umno, Muhyiddin Yassin, berkata peletakan jawatan Timbalan Ketua Menteri 1 Pulau Pinang, Encik Mohamad Fairus Khairuddin, memberi isyarat jelas bahawa kerajaan Pakatan Rakyat (PR) tidak berkemampuan dan tidak bijaksana dalam mentadbir negeri.

'Mereka tidak berupaya meletakkan kepentingan rakyat mengatasi segalanya. Sepatutnya selepas pilihan raya, perkara seperti itu tidak berlaku,' katanya.

Beliau berkata peletakan jawatan itu juga membuktikan wujudnya krisis dalam kepimpinan Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) dan PR.

'Saya harap orang Pulau Pinang sedar dan insaf bahawa PR tidak mempunyai kebijaksanaan dan pengalaman untuk mentadbir,' katanya di sini kelmarin.

Kelmarin, Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang, Encik Lim Guan Eng, mengesahkan menerima surat peletakan jawatan daripada Encik Mohamad Fairus.

Bagaimanapun, Encik Mohamad Fairus mengekalkan kedudukannya sebagai Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (Adun) Penanti.

Inilah mentaliti UMNO dulu,kini dan selamanya yang cuba memperkecilkan keupayaan pihak pembangkang dalam pengurusan tadbiran negeri. UMNO dok ingat depa saja yang pandai dan orang lain tidak boleh mentadbir dengan baik. Pooooooooorah!!!!

Sebagai peringatan,Kelantan yang ditadbir oleh PAS sekian lama adalah satu contoh yang Muhyiddin Yassin patut lihat dan puji.

Sebenarnya,di Pulau Pinang dan Perak kalau tidak ada toyol-toyol UMNO yang dok menghasut pemimpin pembangkang, keadaan tidak akan jadi huru hara.

Lihat saja apa jadi di Perak, cara UMNO merogol perlembagaan negeri dengan menyogok wakil-wakil rakyat PKR berjuta-juta ringgit agar UMNO boleh naik menjadi gomen yang haram. Sungguhpun UMNO tahu wakil-wakil rakyat PKR itu sudah terlibat dengan rasuah angkara perbuatan UMNO sendiri, UMNO sanggup terima perasuah-perasuah itu asalkan agenda UMNO tercapai. Sememangnya UMNO dipenuhi dengan pemimpin-pemimpin yang terpalit dengan najis rasuah.

Muhyiddin Yassin tak perlu nasihat parti pembangkang. Lebih baik dia pergi nasihat Ali Rustam yang didapati bersalah kerana rasuah untuk letak jawatan sebagai Ketua Menteri Melaka terlebih dahulu.

Ali Rustam - jawab macam budak darjah 2, nak jadi TPM konon......

Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Melaka ke Pejabat Ketua Menteri selepas solat Jumaat kelmarin untuk meminta Ali Rustam meletak jawatan Ketua Menteri. NTV7, semalam juga menunjukkan bagaimana, kereta yang membawa si Ali Rustam diserbu dan dijerit-jerit oleh penyokong-penyokong AMK meminta Ali Rustam letak jawatan. NTV7,kemundian menunjukkan Ali Rustam memberi komen tentang gesaan dia meletak jawatan sebagai satu gimik politik pembangkang yang tidak perlu dilayan.

Bila ditanya pemberita, Ali Rustam dengan muka yang tersengih-sengih macam badut tua menjawab,“Saya nak pi menyuarat, tiba-tiba mereka berkumpul disini selepas sembahyang jumaat, apasal Lim Guan Eng dulu kena 2 tahun penjara sekarang dia boleh jadi Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang, apasal Anwar Ibrahim kena 6 tahun penjara sekarang boleh jadi ahli parlimen dan ketua pembangkang?, ”

Bila aku dengar komen Ali Rustam sebegini, terfikir pula apakah pemimpin macam ini, UMNO nak angkat jadi TPM? Nak kata bodoh boleh jadi Naib Presiden UMNO, nak kata bangang boleh jadi Ketua Menteri Melaka... Jawapan macam budak-budak darjah 2 SRJK(T).

Lim Guan Eng masuk penjara kerana membela budak perempuan Melayu 14 tahun yang diperkosa oleh Rahim Thamby Chik,bekas KM Melaka dulu. Lim Guan Eng telah yang membela budak perempuan Melayu itu terpaksa meringkuk 18 bulan dalam penjara, sedangkan siperogol terlepas dan bebas.

Anwar pula meringkuk dalam penjara selama 6 tahun atas kesalahan rasuah olok-olok rekaan Mahathir yang tidak melibatkan sesen pun. Kedua-dua mereka ini juga tidak dibenarkan terlibat dalam politik selama 5 tahun. Mereka telah membayar harga 'kesalahan" mereka dan tidak ada undang-undang yang boleh melarang mereka terlibat dalam politik atau memegang apa-apa jawatan. Ali Rustam, macam mana nak jadi Naib Presiden UMNO,merangkap Timbalan Perdana Menteri kalau undang-undang pun tak tau?

Kalau Ali Rustam nak samakan takdirnya dengan Lim Guan Eng dan Anwar serah saja kes ini kepada SPRM dan bawanya ke mahkamah dan jika mahkamah mendapati Ali Rustam bersalah bolehlah dia merasai apa yang Lim Guan Eng dan Anwar rasa beberapa tahun dalam penjara.

Beranikah UMNO serah kes Ali Rustam dan beberapa tokoh lain yang terlibat dengan politik wang ini kepada SPRM? Sebaliknya pula SPRM ada teloqkah hendak bertindak segera terhadap perasuah-perasuah UMNO ini, seperti mana SPRM begitu pantas membuat sisatan terhadap pemimpin-pemimpin Pakatan Rakyat?

Istilah 'rasuah' bagi UMNO itu dikatakan 'politik wang'. Kerjanya sama tapi deberikan label berbeda- beda supaya penyamun-penyamun UMNO boleh terlepas begitu saja.

Berapa lamakah orang-orang Melayu hendak diperbodohkan oleh UMNO?

Bagi Ali Ketam, janganlah bercakap besar bak kata orang sepandai-pandai tupai melompat akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga........

Dr.M says,Najib did not shine as deputy prime minister.....

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad lashed out today at Umno’s disciplinary board for squandering a chance to clean up the party and restore its credibility. The former Umno president also said he had little confidence in the current crop of party leaders, as he stepped up his rhetoric ahead of next week’s crucial Umno elections.

Earlier this week, he described Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, who will assume the Umno presidency next week, as someone who did not shine as deputy prime minister. Dr Mahathir also acknowledged the perception problem faced by Najib over allegations about his involvement in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case.

Today, the fiery ex-prime minister suggested that Umno’s biggest task at hand is to clean up the party to regain public support, and he blamed the disciplinary board for failing to do a proper job this week.

“They had a good chance to clean up Umno but they did not carry out their task properly.” he said.

Umno’s disciplinary panel has barred Datuk Mohd Ali Rustam from contesting next week’s party polls, but let off Khairy Jamaluddin with a warning even though both men were found guilty of money politics, or vote buying.

Dr Mahathir pointed out that some candidates had been found guilty of the same crime but received different punishments, while others who are known to be involved in corruption had been cleared. He did not say who he thought were known to be corrupt, but both Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo and Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib have been battling hard to shake off accusations of vote-buying and corruption from their rivals.

Dr Mahathir added the sentences imposed by the disciplinary board should have been according to the principles of justice.

“They (Board) should know, most of them are lawyers.” he said.

He also cautioned Umno against entertaining appeals from Mohd Ali to be allowed to campaign for the deputy presidency in a campaign which he was seen to be leading. Dr Mahathir said any reversal would further erode public confidence in the disciplinary board and the party.

Dr Mahathir, who was speaking to the press after attending the opening of the Sultan Abdul Hamid Old Collegian Association (SAHOCA) building in Kelana Jaya today, also took a swipe at the incoming crop of Umno leaders and their ability to lead the country.

“I have no confidence in most of them.”

He said Umno is likely to lose the next general elections if they fail to clean up the party.

Meanwhile Dr Mahathir said he had been invited to attend the Umno general assembly next week and will be going as an observer. He added that he will think about rejoining the party once Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi steps down.

If Mahathir knows that Najib did not shine as a DPM, how can he guarantee that Najib will be a good PM? Or Mahathir is using Najib as a proxy to regain power of the gomen, 'main dari belakang' kata orang.

Rumours has it that UMNO delegates at the AGM wants Daim to be reappointed as Najib's economic advisor. If this is so then I'm not suprise to see Mahathir's imminent role in the gomen of Najib Razak. With Mahathir behind Najib will have no fear. Najib has his work cut out for him....

Dr.M wont endorse the candidates couldn’t write or speak in English......

“One of the candidates couldn’t write in English, he couldn’t speak English and therefore (that was why) he did something wrong in Australia because he could not understand English. My choice is Muhyiddin (Yassin).”

Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad made this sarcasm-tinged comments when asked by a reporter as to who he would endorse as the country’s new number 2 once current Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak takes over the country.

Muhammad Muhd Taib and Muhyiddin are the only two candidates left contesting for the deputy presidency of Umno after the party’s disciplinary board barred Malacca Umno chief and Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam from contesting following his involvement in money politics. It is therefore clear who the sarcasm was targeted at.

Although the reason given by Mahathir not to endorse Muhd Taib appears to be superficial, the former premier has stronger reasons as to why he thought Muhd Taib would not make the best candidate for the deputy presidency.

“It is important for the party that only personalities 'beyond any suspicion' are in the leadership line-up,” he told a press conference at his KLCC office this afternoon.

He said it was important for Umno members to be aware that Umno had already been rejected by the people as reflected in its poor performance in the March 8 polls last year.

“This is caused by widespread public perception that Umno is a party with corrupt leadership and therefore members must elect clean leaders in the party polls next week in order to restore public confidence in the party.

And for him, Muhd Taib who was arrested in 1996 for carrying RM2.4 million in cash in Australia is seen by the public as a corrupt person and does not exactly fit in the ‘clean character’ bill.

To a reporter’s query of the possibility that Mohd Ali’s supporters may back Muhd Taib given their perception that their leader has been sabotaged, Mahathir replied, “If that is the case, the real verdict will come at the 13th general election.

“When the public see that Umno members are electing someone who is not above suspicion, I think they will make a decision. They can elect him as deputy president but Umno will lose the next election,” he said.

Mahathir also said that it was an absurd decision by the party’s disciplinary board not to suspend Mohd Ali from his post as Malacca chief minister.

“I’m not completely happy with the board’s decision. Here we have a very strange decision. He (Ali) is found to be corrupt, but he can still be chief minister.

“So now we have a person who is confirmed as corrupt but the party has accepted him as chief minister. What the public think about this, we will hear it at the 13th general election,” he reiterated.

Mahathir added that the credibility of the party’s disciplinary board “has been undermined due to this peculiar decision” and said that the board had blown its chances to restore public confidence in the party.

He also laughed off the accusations made against him that he was involved in the punishment meted out to Mohd Ali by the disciplinary board.

“I heard that Ali had accused me of being involved in the board’s decision. I wish I could but I am not a member of Umno. If I had been involved, I would have thrown him out from the very beginning. But I’m not involved. So sorry,” he said.

Muhammad Mohd.Taib was arrested for carrying RM2.4 million in cash to Australia and was charged in the Australian court and released on technical ground, coz he cannot speak or understand English. This happened during Mahathir's tenure. When Muhammad Mohd Taib returned to Malaysia then the AG couldnt prosecute him coz evidence 'tak cukup'.

Mahathir just kept mum then. Why now his mouth is so 'gatal' bringing up this issue? After all Mahathir isnt an UMNO member.........

Corruption is so intrenched in UMNO,dulu kini & selama-lamanya, no suprise la.......

Umno’s disciplinary board today barred leading deputy presidential contender Ali Rustam from contesting for breaching the party’s regulation.Umno Disciplinary board chairman Tengku Ahmad Rithaudeen Ismail made the announcement at the party’s headquarters here.Rithaudeen told reporters that Ali was found guilty under Section 10.1 of the party’s code of ethics after his agents were found guilty of vote buying.

“His offence was because there was a link, his agents were found guilty, so he was guilty too,” said Rithaudeen.

Anwar Ibrahim described the disbarment of Mohd Ali Rustam from contesting in next week’s Umno elections as not only confirmation of the prevalence of money politics in the party but also of selective prosecution when action is taken to combat the scourge.

“Must we be surprised that a contestant for the number two post is deemed to have engaged in money politics?” mused Anwar.

“We cannot be surprised because we know the practice is entrenched in Umno and Ali Rustam’s disbarment is merely an instance of selective prosecution,” he commented.

“His disbarment will do nothing to combat the scourge of money politics for the entire party is steeped in the culture. Ali Rustam is being singled out because he is not in the deputy prime minister’s camp,” he elaborated.

Anwar claimed that the Umno’s disciplinary committee is stacked with DPM Najib Razak’s men and “in the event they act against the corrupt they do so at the expense of people not allied to their master’s camp.”

The PKR supremo speculated that his apparently inadvertent meeting last week in Hulu Langat with outgoing prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at an Islamic leader’s Maulud Nabi luncheon had provided the motive for the suspensions meted out by Umno’s disciplinary committee.

“The Najib camp has moved to forestall things more from the fear they felt over my encounter with Abdullah and what that may imply for the upcoming transition than from a desire to cleanse Umno of the scourge of money politics,” he asserted.

“It will be business as usual for those not targeted by selective prosecution,” said Anwar caustically.

“Najib is turning the party into a microcosm of the country where a band of untouchables can flout the rules with impunity while the rest can and may be made targets as and when the powers-that-be want to make an example of whatever it is they want to clamp down at a given moment,” claimed Anwar.

"Undilah siapa saja tapi jangan undi UMNO" kata Sasterawan Negara.......

Sasterawan Negara,A Samad Said membuat satu peringatan yang menggamatkan suasana dewan yang dipenuhi kira-kira 1,000 orang hadirin itu. “Ada satu perkara yang saya minta sebelum saya bercakap tentang nasib bahasa kita, iaitu bila ada pilihan raya, saya harap anda semua gunakanlah kuasa undi dan undilah siapa saja tapi jangan undi Umno,” ujarnya, seraya mendapat tepukan gemuruh dan teriakan takbir oleh para hadirin.

Dato’ A Samad Said mencabar pemimpin kerajaan Umno-BN untuk turun berkempen dalam pilihan raya kecil yang akan berlangsung tidak lama lagi dengan bercakap dalam bahasa Inggeris.

Beliau yang lebih mesra dengan panggilan Pak Samad berkata, hasil daripada usaha yang dibuat oleh Gerakan Mansuh Pembelajaran dan Pengajaran Sains dan Matematik dalam bahasa Inggeris (GMP) baru-baru ini, tidak mustahil isu ini akan dibincangkan dalam Perhimpunan Agung Tahunan Umno, yang dijadual akhir Mac ini.

“Dan dalam perhimpunan itu, oleh kerana pemimpin Umno terlalu mengagungkan bahasa Inggeris, adalah lebih baik mereka, dari peringkat atas hingga ke bawah, berbincang dalam bahasa Inggeris,” tegas A Samad.

“Dan juga dalam kempen-kempen mereka pada masa akan datang juga, mereka kena gunakan bahasa Inggeris, jangan guna bahasa Melayu. Kalau nak bermesyuarat pun gunalah bahasa Inggeris kerana bahasa dan minda mereka adalah Inggeris,” ujar pejuang bahasa itu lagi.

“Apakah hanya untuk mendapat undi dan kuasa, mereka guna bahasa Melayu, tetapi bila dapat kuasa mereka akan membuang bahasa Melayu?. Kalau ada kempen-kempen mereka, kita perlu berani jerit kepada mereka, cakaplah bahasa Inggeris,” kata A Samad ketika berucap pada program Gema Rakyat, “Isu PPSMI, Kita Pantang Berundur”.

“Saya tidak ada parti tapi hanya meminjam pentas parti. Saya bukan diperalatkan tapi dimanfaatkan. Dengan itu, kita berada pada situasi menang-menang. Kalau saya diperalatkan sudah tentu saya akan menjadi mangsa,” jelasnya.

Dalam pada itu, belia turut menegaskab bahawa hanya dua buah parti yang mampu menyelamatkan keadaan semasa iaitu PAS dan KeADILan.

“Dalam keadaan semasa saya melihat hanya PAS dan KeADILAN yang boleh menyelamatkan orang Melayu. Sekiranya orang Melayu merasakan teraniya, sokonglah dua parti ini,” katanya lagi.

A Samad Said menjelaskan bahawa beliau akan meneruskan perjuangan untuk menyelamatkan bahasa Melayu dalam program “Kembara Kasih bahasa”.

“Saya rasa terpanggil bahawasanya dalam sisa-sisa usia saya inilah untuk saya berlawan dan dengan semangat inilah saya akan menjelajah untuk memperjuangkankan bahasa saya.

“Saya bersedia kembali ke negeri Kedah ini dengan syarat anda semua bekerja untuk menumbangkan pemimpin-pemimpin yang sombong,” ujarnya sambil disambut tepukan gemuruh hadirin.

YB.Gobind Singh dibom keluar Dewan...........

Parlimen hari ini menggantung YB Gobind Singh selama 12 bulan tanpa gaji & elaun akibat kenyataan yg dibuat oleh YB Gobind Singh menuduh Najib Razak sebagai terlibat dalam pembunuhan Altantuya dan kemudiannya mengkritik Speaker dengan menyatakan "you should be ashamed with yourself" ketika Speaker mengarahkannya keluar dewan. Mungkin kenyataan YB Gobind Singh itu agak keras dan kasar.

Parlimen boleh merujuk YB. Gobind Singh kepada satu Jawatankuasa Terpilih untuk menyiasat kenyataannya itu dan memberi peluang YB. Gobind Singh membela diri dengan mengemukakan bukti atau saksi untuk membuktikan kenyataannya.

Kalau setelah siasatan dibuat dan peluang membela diri diberi YB Gobind Singh gagal membuktikan kenyataannya itu, maka wajarlah tindakan diambil terhadapnya.

Sebaliknya kes tersebut dirujuk terus kepada Dewan Parlimen yang dimonopoli oleh BN untuk terus diambil keputusan menghukum. Dalam keadaan BN menguasai majoriti sudah tentu YB Gobind Singh akan dihukum. Yang paling menyedihkan YB. Gobind Singh langsung tidak diberi peluang membela dirinya. Berucap pun tidak dibenarkan.

BN sering melaungkan yang mereka mengamalkan demokrasi tetapi dalam hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan pendedahan skandal pemimpin-pemimpin mereka,BN akan buat apa saja untuk menutupnya.

Gomen to scrap PPSMI............

The teaching of the two key subjects in English, a policy known by its Malay acronym PPSMI, was the brainchild of former premier Mahathir Mohamad. He introduced it in schools in 2003 despite loud protests.

Now, it is set to reverse a controversial policy by scrapping the teaching of mathematics and science in English in primary schools, an influential online newspaper said yesterday. The policy will, however, be continued in secondary schools, the Malaysian Insider website reported.

An aide of Education Minister Hishammuddin Hussein could not confirm the report when contacted yesterday.

The teaching of the two key subjects in English, a policy known by its Malay acronym PPSMI, was the brainchild of former premier Mahathir Mohamad. He introduced it in schools in 2003 despite loud protests.

He felt it could improve Malaysian students' poor English standards and keep them abreast of the two subjects, rather than have to wait for Bahasa Malaysia translations of mathematical and scientific works.

But rural Malays said their children have problems coping with the subjects when taught in English. Malay nationalists and Chinese educationists have also opposed the move, saying it would erode the mother-tongue languages.

The government under Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi has since dithered over whether to continue with the policy.

The issue came to a head on March 7 when thousands of protesters took to the streets in Kuala Lumpur to hand a memorandum of protest against the policy to the Malaysian King.

PM Abdullah then asked Datuk Seri Hishamuddin to decide quickly whether to reverse the policy, but the Education Minister said this is a decision that should be made collectively by the Cabinet.
