Adios UMNOOOO...

Najib sebak mengalir airmata kesedihan, hilang kuasa, dibebani bala buatan sendiri, dan UMNO, dulunya menjadi kuda pondan pacuannya, bakal hilang riwayatnya sebelum akhir tahun ini. Tahun 2018 bersejarah.

Perbicaraan masih belum dijalankan.

- f/bk

Najib, Azzeez, Shafee all a done deal. And now literally and physically the biggest fish among them all…FLOM.  How much better can it get? What about Nazri Aziz and Shahrizat? Don’t worry too much about Zahid…he will go in to…it is just a matter of when. And once they are done with the politicians they can start bringing the KSU’s in….and that Irwan Seregar guy should be the first to be paraded in cuffs! Yep this guy below! - steadyaku47

Hello "Puteri Transformasi" Spending RM 1 million for beauty products which obviously didnt work on your mother, and RM 3 million for flowers on your wedding day...that’s going too far my dear...

The troublemakers of Port Dickson...

I never thought I would hear Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan's name again, the man the late Karpal Singh branded a liar. In the Sodomy II trial, Karpal did not accept a single cent from Anwar Ibrahim as his defence lawyer because he believed that Saiful and the BN cohort behind him were orchestrating a grand conspiracy.

In the trial, Saiful contradicted himself multiple times, made numerous inconsistent statements, and had given rise to grave doubts against the prosecution’s allegations. Despite being a college dropout, Saiful could breeze through the then-deputy prime minister Najib Abdul Razak’s house before the incident willy-nilly, and get in touch with the top police of the country with ease. And now he's running against Anwar in Port Dickson.

The only other candidate of note is former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar Mohd Isa Abdul Samad, whose tenure as Felda chairperson saw the company bleeding money at the expense of rural poor settlers.

The candidates standing against Anwar have two things in common. One, they are launching an anti-Anwar hate campaign targeting his character. Two, they are taking this by-election as an opportunity to obtain 14 days personal glory in the guise of democracy.

On the face of it, the seven-cornered fight could be seen as a celebration of democracy. But while democracy means defending your fellow citizen’s right to contest at the by-election, it doesn’t necessarily follow that you must support them. This is because the opposition against Anwar in this particular by-election is fraught with the two elements: hatred and opportunism. All in the guise of 'democracy'.

Undemocratic?

They say that Anwar’s decision to contest in the Port Dickson by-election is undemocratic because voters are being betrayed. They say people did not vote Pakatan Harapan in to see this; that this was a severing the people’s trust. But this argument is unsustainable. The democratic impulse is not forgone.

One, the people of Port Dickson are not deprived of the most fundamental democratic component: choice. Democracy is only ruined if incumbent Danyal Balagopal Abdullah switched places with Anwar without an election, and Anwar is appointed MP internally without the consent of the people. Here, there is an election, there is a choice.

Two, Danyal was not coerced into any arrangements beyond his preference. He stated many times his decision was voluntary.

Three, even if we assume that this was undemocratic under normal circumstances, Anwar’s situation is highly exceptional. The key event was the conspiratorial, politically-motivated imprisonment that suspended democracy in 2015.

By saying Anwar cannot contest now in the false name of democracy is to give power, validity, and recognition to the undemocratic practice of jailing him and preventing him from running in the first place.

Nepotistic?

They say their opposition against Anwar in Port Dickson is a sign of protest. They say Anwar should have contested in Pandan or Permatang Pauh to take the place of Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail or Nurul Izzah Anwar. But the claim of nepotism is valid only when the person could not have obtained the position without the favour of family or relatives.

In this case, we can all agree that individually and collectively, the Anwar family won most of what they have now on their own merits. You can call her a seat-warmer, but Wan Azizah has helped make PKR the largest party in the country in terms of representation in Parliament.

Nurul Izzah has also long walked out of her father’s shadow into becoming one of the most intelligent, eloquent, and progressive politicians Malaysia has in her own right. Her rejection of a ministerial post she was more than qualified for is testament to her resolve to separate family from power.

Collectively, however, they are also made examples of with the usual shiftless claims of nepotism. The family of Lim Kit Siang, with Guan Eng, and Hui Ying, and the family of Karpal, with Gobind Singh, Ramkarpal Singh, Jagdeep Singh and Sangeet Kaur, are no different.

There is a struggle behind their participation in politics that cannot be simply dismissed by idle claims of nepotism. We must bear in mind that these families have seen their forbears go through jail, vilification, and failure in the name of the struggle.

Their initial participation was not in the hope of power and glory – there was, at the time, none to be had – but it was forced against the unsettling face of injustice. If we observe it this way, we would no longer see them as a burden, but an addition to our collective consciousness infused with righteousness and honest conviction.

Impatient?

They say Anwar is too impatient, that he should have waited two years. And in any case, he is too untrustworthy to become prime minister since he is too cosy with Umno lawmakers. But this argument is unsubstantiated. Anwar and Mahathir have repeated a million times that Mahathir will remain prime minister only for two years from May 2018, and Anwar will be his one and only successor.

Anwar has repeated time and again that he will adhere to the succession plan and provide support and room for the latter to govern. Besides, if everyone already expects Anwar to assume the premiership at two years, a by-election is required in any event.

The claim of impatience is in actuality informed by a personal hatred for Anwar. They think that Anwar cannot be prime minister because he is untrustworthy. However, there is no basis to substantiate how, why, and when Anwar has shown signs of betrayal.

It was Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi himself who said he didn’t meet Anwar, but instead met Mahathir twice. It was Anwar himself that said a unity government with Umno is not in the works. It was the people who relied on the backs of a Reformasi machinery that promised to pardon Anwar and making him the eighth prime minister that saw BN deposed for the first time. And now of course, like his whole life, there are many who will embark on variegated tactics to stop Anwar in his tracks. Even when Anwar had not done anything to warrant such treatment.

My guess is that these are planned by troublemakers intent on splitting apart the Harapan government. You do this by making sure the Mahathir-Anwar succession is broken. You do this by making sure Anwar doesn’t win the by-election. And you do this by standing against him. Throw the government into instability, and voters will start to distrust a government who cannot fulfil their promises.

I may be proven wrong. Maybe some of the candidates in Port Dickson are sincere in their desire to serve the constituents and can make good MPs. But as things stand, it is hard to see anything else but an opportunistic, orchestrated hate campaign against Anwar. - James Chai

- mk

Pakatan jahat yang tak diredhai...

Najib Razak dikaitkan dengan pembunuhan mendiang Kevin Morias, sekarang menjadi suspek utama perancang pembunuhan tersebut. Ini belum lagi dibuka lain2 kes pembunuhan seperti Altantunya & Najedi.

Sejak dari tahun 2015, Hadi Awang dilihat begitu bersungguh-sungguh cuba mempertahankan Najib dan mahu Najib terus berkuasa walaupun mengetahui Najib terpalit dengan berbagai skandal kewangan & pembunuhan.

Malah Hadi tanpa berselindung menyeru rakyat Msia mengundi UmnoBN.

- f/bk

Making Sense Of Child Marriages...

It all began in June when a 41-year-old rubber tapper in Kelantan decided to marry the girl of his dreams, an 11-year-old and barely pubescent Thai Muslim child without the approval of the state’s shariah court. A month later in July another 44-year-old father of two who took the hand of a 15-year-old child to be his lawful-wedded third wife. This guy, however, was a bit smarter he sought the permission of the religious court. The former but less enlightened man was fined RM1800 for his dalliance with shariah requirement.

The two incidences, though not the only ones, set the backdrop for the on-going debate about child marriage and the laws governing it.

Under local laws both Muslim and non-Muslim children are allowed to marry. For non-Muslims, the minimum marriage age for boys and girls is 18, but non-Muslim girls aged 16 can get married with prior approval of the state’s head of government namely, the Menteri Besar or Chief Minister.

Under state Islamic laws the marriageable age is 18 for boys and 16 for girls but shariah courts have the authority to give consent to those below the permitted age to be betrothed. There is no minimum marriage age for Muslims. The reason, which is so often alluded to when such an arrangement takes place is, if Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) could marry Ayesha who was only nine and the Prophet was 53, there is no reason why other Muslims could not do so.

But that was almost 1400 years ago. Things were definitely different then than they are today. Malaysia is no barren and sandy land like Saudi Arabia. We are not dependent on camels, mules and horses to be mobile. We don’t use swords and scimitars to ward off our enemies. I am not questioning religious tenets and traditions (Hadiths). Modernity has its differences. It is how we interpret things that matter, not downright submission to laws and obligations. Blind loyalty has its pitfalls.

Granted my late mother got hitched when she was 15. She gave birth to my eldest brother when she was 16 and yours truly when she was 18. She married my father a few months before the Japanese surrender in August 1945. The uncertainty following the end of hostilities saw many families going broke. Civil unrest was the order of the day engineered by the fighting elements of the outlawed Malayan Communist Party (MCP) culminating with the declaration of a state of Emergency on June 16, 1948. This lasted for 12 long years until July 12, 1960. However, remnants of the party continued to give our security forces many anxious moments until the Hatyai peace accord signed between the MCP and the Malaysian Government on December 2, 1989.

Now back to child marriage, per se. Lawyers for Liberty and other rights groups are of the opinion that continued inaction by the government over marriages involving minors is making Malaysia a haven for paedophiles. They unanimously rejected Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah’s insistence that the union between the 15-year-old bride and a man 30 years her senior was “consensual”. They termed it “breathtakingly irresponsible”. Latheefa Koya, director of Lawyers for Liberty, called upon the Inspector General of Police to take action against perverted sex predators who use marriage as a licence to have sex with children.

I cannot, in my wildest dreams, imagine my 14-year-old granddaughter or her slightly older niece being married off to some dirty old men who have nothing much in mind but the fulfilment of their sexual fantasies. It’s downright disgusting.

Poverty is no reason to give away your underage children to some strangers so they could live a better life. The parents of the 11-year-old Thai Muslim girl have 13 kids. Makes me wonder why poverty is always associated with ignorance and religion. The more pious the family is, the more children they will sire. Perhaps it is in the teaching. Family planning and birth control are two taboo subjects in Islam and among Catholics. No offence meant.
Image result for Clare Rewcastle Brown’s book launch at Tower Regency Hotel, Ipoh

I was at Clare Rewcastle Brown’s book launch at Tower Regency Hotel, Ipoh on Saturday, September 22. One glaring thing that stood out like a sore thumb was the conspicuous absence of Malays among the 300-odd crowd. There were barely a handful of them, yours truly included. The most highly publicised thievery cum larceny in the world and yet so few Malays were present to hear what a brave lady from London had to say.

And mind you, the grand theft was committed by a Malay who became Prime Minister by default. A high-living Malay politician who felt he had every right to do what he did. What activist Hishamuddin Rais said about the Malay minds being “bonsai-fied” (indoctrinated) is true. The scene is similar at all gatherings be it social or academic, the number of Malays is so few sometimes hardly a handful.

During a talk by Mariam Mokhtar recently a member of the audience asked why Malays seldom attend talks and seminars, especially when they are conducted in English. Lawyer and social activist Haris Ibrahim, who was in attendance, challenged everyone present to bring five Malay friends each to his talk to be conducted in Bahasa Malaysia. There were no takers, as they all knew it was extremely difficult.

This is the real Malaysia and it will remain as such for so long as the majority wish to remain non-committal, indifferent and aloof preferring to be the anointed master race without any visible clout. Need I say more? - Fathol Zaman Bukhari,Ipoh Echo

UMNO mau Anwar jadi PM...

Mereka inilah penghianat UMNO sebenarnya.

Seperti Najib 'cash is king', dan Anwar jadikan 'pink form dan projek as king' .

- Yahaya Ismail

Najib Shed Tears : Dr.M Has Proven (UMNO) Malays Are Lazy and Untrustworthy...

UMNO’s General Assembly, it’s first since the Malay nationalist party lost the federal government in the May 9 general election, has come to its end. This could be the party’s last assembly before it disintegrates – ending its journey of corruption, racism and extremism. All is not well with the party as the sinking ship continues to sail without a clear direction.

It’s newly crowned captain – Zahid Hamidi – has failed to convince the 3,000 delegates that his leadership is a force to be reckoned with. He quickly unleashed Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu to counter criticism that his leadership sucks. He insisted his leadership isn’t just an empty vessel. Yet, when grilled for more information about his idea about “unity government”, he went berserk.

Zahid told all and sundry that the issue of the unity government is closed, preventing anyone from debating it. However, as he has yet to warm his seat as UMNO president, his deputy, Mohamad Hasan, appears to have rejected the plan of a cooperation with Islamist party PAS. The No. 2, clearly offended with the party leadership’s strategy – crawling and begging – PAS for support.

In defiance of his boss Zahid, Mohamad Hasan told the 3,000 delegates – “We should forget it. Even if they come to us we should look at it properly first because if we are just a passenger than forget it. We shouldn’t play second fiddle. Why should we? We were in power and the government.” The sudden outburst has forced Zahid to defend UMNO’s alliance with PAS.

Zahid was actually incredibly stunned and panicked with the unexpected rebellion from his own deputy, so much so that he had threatened critics not to back him into a corner. He said – “I am an open person. But when I am pushed to the wall, my openness has its limits. I am Zahid Hamidi. They know my DNA in this struggle. I don’t want to reveal my true colours. If there is a tiger or lion in me, what comes out is a goat.”

Zahid Hamidi - UMNO General Assembly 2018 Speech

But Zahid’s gloating about being a goat, tiger, lion and whatnot was not the primary attraction at the assembly. Instead, it was his predecessor’s presence, and his sudden burst into tears that had gotten the attention of the delegates. Former premier and UMNO president Najib Razak entered the assembly hall like a Bugis warrior, much to the surprise of observers.

Heck, the scandal-plagued Najib even received a standing ovation from UMNO delegates when his name was announced at the opening of the assembly. Perhaps PM Mahathir Mohamad has proven his controversial argument when he said Malays were not only lazy and untrustworthy but also lacked a sense of shame, especially the UMNO-Malays.

Speaking to UTM (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia) staff and students at a special lecture on September 20, Mahathir said – “Today, people do not feel ashamed at all. You see them going to jail and smiling. You see people smiling when you tell them, ‘hey, you are a thief’. There is no feeling of shame.” Of course, he was mocking and insulting crooked Najib and his minions.

The fact that the 3,000 UMNO delegates saw nothing wrong with their former president stealing and plundering billions of dollars is quite breathtaking. It shows that they were nothing but a bunch of lazy Malay leaders who had depended so much on Najib for free flow of cash, contracts and handouts that they didn’t care how the ex-president had gotten the money in the first place.

Blinded by money, their judgement had been clouded largely because they were too lazy to read, think and understand the 1MDB scandal. They didn’t realize the untrustworthy Najib had actually stolen and plundered money originated from 1MDB, supposedly belonging to Malaysians. The UMNO delegates were so freaking stupid it makes Najib looks like Einstein.

The culture of corruption and thievery was so entrenched in the Malay nationalist party that the delegates couldn’t differentiate between right and wrong. How could Malaysians trust leaders such as UMNO delegates who think it was alright to steal from not only the national coffers but also taxpayers’ hard-earned savings – EPF, KWAP, FELDA, FELCRA, Tabung Haji and whatnot?

Herd Cow Mentality - Najib Razak - UMNO Delegates

But Najib’s grand entrance wasn’t the only pathetic and shameful drama displayed at the 2018 UMNO General Assembly. Najib’s return to the PWTC (Putra World Trade Centre) for the party’s gathering this year in his capacity as Pekan division chief also saw him shedding tears, apparently because he was so touched by the support splashed by the delegates.

Mr. Najib’s tearful drama was a big deal, like it or not. That’s because the Bugis warrior had not shed a drop of tear before. He didn’t cry after caught stealing money and he surely didn’t cry after he lost the May 9 polls. Even as he was being dragged to be interrogated by anti-corruption agency, he didn’t cry but smile proudly – proof that UMNO Malays indeed lack a sense of shame.

Heck, even after he was slapped with dozens of charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT), money laundering and abuse of power, the defiant son of Razak was seen grinning from ear to ear. Make no mistake about it. Najib was merely shedding crocodile tears at the UMNO assembly because he finally saw how successful his “cash is king” corruption policy has on the party.

Treating the party like a cow barn, Najib now believes his greatest success story has been herding the cows of UMNO and leads them around by the nose. Even after losing the federal government and putting the party at risk of closure, the delegates had chosen to applaud, cheer and worship him. That speaks volumes about the incredible lack of shame amongst UMNO Malays.

Najib Razak and UMNO Malays are so crooked that it makes Mahathir’s controversial “crooked bridge” with Singapore looks like a wonderful straight bridge to wonderland. The fact that Mahathir is seen as a saviour despite having ruled the country with an iron fist for 22 years proves how much the people despise Najib and his band of UMNO thieves. - ft

Awat Hadi takut kat Anwar...

Image result for Hadi n Anwar

Hadi pernah marahi Anwar kerana menjadi khadam Dr Mahathir selama 16 tahun.

Semua pemimpin tertinggi PAS termasuk Hadi tewas.

Itu kalau you all faham la. Pegawai beliau hanya cross check fakta-fakta sahaja. Kadangkadang nak cakap last minit pun baiki lagi.

Ada satu kali tu prompter keluar benda tak sama apa beliau tulis "Eh saya tak tulis benda ni" masa tgh berucap. He will remember!

Dalam negara ini banyak perkara yang berlaku dua kali atau berulang, antaranya;

1. Orang sama jadi PM dua kali.
2. Orang sama dijail dua kali.
3. Orang sama jadi Agong dua kali.
4. Pas penah bersama Umno pernah bergaduh dan kini berbaik semula.

- MSO

PAS Hadi Awang and UMNO Zahid Hamidi - Whispering
Love me, love me not...

I am afraid Hadi Awang may be a little depressed now, dejected by the attitude of a "trusted friend".

Barely two weeks ago, Ahmad Zahid and his people showed up at PAS general assembly and there was handshaking and hugging to declare to the world the friendly cooperation between their two parties.

Zahid said in a press conference that it was natural for the two parties to work together as they were both opposition parties now. Many anticipated a honeymoon for Umno and PAS, and that they would tie the knot within days.

As leaders of both parties claimed, they wanted to fight together for the future of Muslims and Malays. Unfortunately there are simply too many hypocrisies in political relations post-GE14.

Before we realize it, Umno is already starting to throw in some goodwill gestures to PH. Zahid said he had met up with Mahathir twice.

He told the media it was due to political considerations, as "we don't want to be opposition party". Ahmad Zahid's opportunistic behavior stems from the fact he is uncertain about Umno's position.

He wants to work with PAS to strengthen the opposition and fight the PH government, but at the same time he wants to forge a new relationship with PH and gain a backdoor access to the government, It is this ambiguous stand that explains Umno's absence from Port Dickson by-election.

Umno leaders with clearer minds like Khairy Jamaluddin and Hishammuddin have insisted to field a candidate in PD, but Zahid argues that Umno will not take part in a by-election purportedly created to fulfill the wish of an individual.

Zahid tries to avert a heads-on competition, and clash, with Anwar. I believe Hadi Awang is way more sober than the ex-DPM, as we have already seen that PAS is keeping a respectable distance of late.

Even though several PAS leaders have earlier claimed that their party would stay away from Port Dickson, it has now decided to put a leg in it.

PAS' attitude is more explicit than Umno's. As an opposition party for so many decades, PAS is well aware of its role and has its long-term objectives. Even if it is dead sure it won't beat Anwar in PD, the war must still be fought.

Moreover, it understands that the only way to become the government is to win the election, not buy a backdoor ticket to Putrajaya.

Perhaps Hadi and his team are able to see more clearly that Umno is not going to be a reliable partner, and should therefore draw a line between them before it gets too late. - mysinchew
