1.​Samada kapal layar Equanimity milik Malaysia atau tidak bukan soalnya. Yang menjadi masalah ialah kapal ini dimiliki oleh Low Taek Jho atau Jho Low dengan mengguna duit 1MDB. Pembelian ini adalah satu cara untuk bersihkan wang 1MDB yang Dept. of Justice, Amerika Syarikat dakwa diselewengkan (curi) oleh Jho Low.

2.​Jho Low adalah sahabat karib Najib dan Rosmah. Najib adalah Penasihat berkuasa penuh syarikat milik Kerajaan 1MDB. Tidak ada keputusan boleh dibuat oleh 1MDB tanpa persetujuan Najib.

3.​Ini bermakna Najib perlu tahu dan bertanggungjawab akan apa terjadi kepada wang 1MDB sebanyak 1 billion Ringgit yang diguna oleh Jho Low untuk bina/beli kapal layar Equanimity.

4.​Sepatutnya Najib mengaku duit ini diberi kepada Jho Low untuk beli kapal. Jika tidak diberi oleh Najib, sebagai orang yang bertanggungjawab dalam 1MDB, Najib perlu lapor kepada polis supaya polis dapat pertolongan Interpol untuk dapat balik 1 billion Ringgit duit 1MDB. Jika dakwaan oleh Dept. of Justice, Amerika Syarikat bahawa Jho Low mencuri duit 1MDB untuk beli kapal layar bagi membersihkan duit yang dicuri, adalah tidak benar, maka Najib perlu protes kepada Dept. of Justice. Tetapi Najib tidak buat apa-apa.

5.​Yang kita dengar ialah A.G. (Pendakwa Raya) menyatakan Najib tidak lakukan apa-apa kesalahan. Bolehkah Najib berdiam diri jika ada dakwaan bahawa duit 1MDB telah dicuri, sedangkan ia bertanggungjawab sepenuhnya dalam pengurusan 1MDB.

6.​Di Singapura beberapa orang telah dituduh dan di penjara kerana selewengkan duit 1MDB. Beberapa bank ditutup oleh Kerajaan Singapura kerana terlibat dengan kehilangan duit 1MDB. Di Switzerland dan di Luxembourg juga terdapat tindakan terhadap penyelewengan duit 1MDB.

7.​Tetapi di Malaysia kehilangan duit 1MDB, salahguna duit 1MDB, pengurusan yang tidak bertanggungjawab, pemindahan masalah dan pengurusan 1MDB kepada Kementerian Kewangan, penglibatan Perdana Menteri, laporan-laporan oleh Bank Negara, MACC dan PAC, kehilangan berbillion duit 1MDB, Jho Low, kapal Equanimity berharga 1 billion Ringgit yang didakwa dicuri dengan duit 1MDB, tindakan polis Indonesia dan FBI Amerika merampas kapal yang dimiliki Jho Low secara haram, – tidak ada tindakan yang diambil oleh polis atau Kerajaan Malaysia. Kata A.G. tidak ada salahlaku oleh Najib. Kes tutup. Empat buah negara dakwa duit 1MDB dicuri oleh Jho Low, A.G. Malaysia kata tiada apa-apa yang berlaku. Semua okay.

Confiscation Of Jho Low's $250 Million 

Yacht Is Just The Beginning...

Indonesia, in a surprising move on Wednesday (Feb 28), confiscated a luxury yacht off the coast of Teluk Benoa on the island of Bali. The 300-foot luxury superyacht - The Equanimity - was worth at least US $ 250 million, at least that's the price tag valued by the US Department of Justice (DOJ). Registered in the Cayman Islands, the yacht is believed to belong to Jho Low's notorious.

When the Indonesian authorities made the move to seize the yacht, four US "chief investigators" were present, suggesting it was a joint-operation between US authorities and Indonesia police. Jho Low (fullname: Low Taek Jho), however, was not among those on board the yacht, which was built by Oceano and won the prize for prize for "Best in Show" at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2014.

Agung Setya, director of economic and special crimes at the Indonesia's criminal investigation bureau, said - "We have been inspecting the 34 crew since yesterday and now we are taking action since we have received approval from the court to seize the boat. I have been told by the US Department of Justice that this vessel is among the assets resulting from criminal activity. "

Mr. Agung was, of course, referring to the infamous 1MDB scandal. The Equanimity, which among others fitted with a helicopter landing pad, an on-board gymnasium, a cinema, a massage room, an experiential shower and a plunge pool, was among some assets being sought by the US-DOJ in its investigation over money laundering involving 1MDB.

1MDB, which has been classified as a " Ponzi Scheme " by the Swiss Attorney General is not any common thievery. 1MDB is the world's largest financial scandal. In fact, the US Department of Justice acknowledges the 1MDB represents the largest action brought under the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative, involving stolen money of more than US $ 4.5 billion.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, who was the Chairman of 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhad), has denied any involvement in the scandal although he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar - a whopping US $ 681 million in his private banking accounts . Instead, Mr. Najib has claimed that the money was donations from Saudi royal family, a claim that could not be substantiated.

Najib's wife, Rosmah Mansor, was also exposed to have bought a 22-carat pink diamond necklace - worth a stunning US $ 27.3 million - using money siphoned from 1MDB. According to US-DOJ investigations, Jho Low had arranged for jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz (also known as "Jewish Queen of Oscar Bling") for the pink diamond on June 2, 2013.

Other 1MDB-linked assets which were reported to have been seized by the US-DOJ include Jho Low's Bombardier Global 5000 jet in Singapore, jewellery worth millions of dollars gifted to celebrities Australian Miranda Kerr and Taiwanese Elvia Hsiao, and several properties in New York, artwork, film rights and a US $ 107 million interest in EMI Music Publishing.

In August 2017, the US-DOJ asked for a stay on its civil lawsuits seeking to seize more than US $ 1.7 billion in assets allegedly bought with stolen 1MDB funds because it was conducting a related criminal probe. One of those assets is believed to be Jho Low's luxury yacht "The Equanimity." The US lawsuits said Low used proceeds diverted from 1MDB to procure Equanimity.

Jho Low has been spending most of his time as fugitive aboard "The Equanimity" yacht, traveling around the world to avoid being arrested . Besides staying temporary at luxurious Peninsula Hotel in Shanghai, Jho Low was reportedly cruised the seas of Southeast Asia, making stops in Cambodia, Thailand, Taiwan, Bali and some of Indonesia's tiniest islands.

The Malaysian fugitive was reportedly warned against returning to Malaysia as it would create political nightmares to Najib Razak as the premier struggles to maintain his power. But the confiscation of Jho Low's luxury means the chickens could finally come home to roost. It appears that the Government of Malaysia was deliberately kept in the dark about the Indonesia-US operation.

Without "The Equanimity" yacht, arguably Low's only mode of transport to evade authorities, it could be a matter of time before the fugitive is finally apprehended. He can run but he can not hide, not without his yacht. The burning question is: why did Indonesia and United States decide to launch the operation now, when Najib Razak is about to call a snap General Election?

For months, the US-DOJ has put the 1MDB investigations in cold storage. As Mr. Najib was busy attacking Robert Kuok , Malaysia's richest man worth US $ 15.6 billion, to divert attention from 1MDB scandal and public anger arising from escalating cost of living, suddenly the Indonesia-United States sprang into action in a special operation which started a week ago.

It's not hard to understand why the United States and Indonesia kept the operation secret. In Oct, 2017, despite reports that Jho Low's yacht docked in Aceh, Malaysia Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi denied Kuala Lumpur has ever received such information - suggesting internal cover-up at the highest level and that Malaysia government was not interested at all to seize Low's yacht.

Interestingly, it seems that despite pledging US $ 20 billion investment in what many believed was bribes to Trump administration during Prime Minister Najib's visit to the White House in September, 2017, the deal did not take off as it should be. Najib's promise to help Trump's MAGA (Make America Great Again) was nothing but empty promises, as the US president would later find out.

That explains why 2 months later, Trump deliberately pretended he did not see Najib , his supposedly golf buddy, during a dinner at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in Manila, Philippines. It's no coincidence 4 months later today; Jho Low's yacht has been finally seized, thanks to the secret joint-operation between the US and Indonesia.

Despite public perception, or lack of understanding, the US Justice Department and the FBI actually operate under the president's authority, as set forth in Article II of the Constitution. In a nutshell, President Trump has a "constitutional authority to tell the Justice Department who to investigate and who not to investigate". But would not that be "obstruction of justice"?

Well, while a US president can direct an investigation to start or cease, it can not be for corrupt purposes as it would then become obstruction of justice. So, technically, even if it's an open secret that Najib's visit to the White House was to bribe Trump administration, Donald Trump as an individual did not receive any kickbacks. Najib tried to bribe the US government, not Donald Trump.

That's why Najib openly declared that his purpose was to make America great again. He had hoped President Trump would direct the US-DOJ investigation into 1MDB money laundering be closed. Trump could do that, and it's perfectly legal. Previous presidents - Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt - had set the precedents. But the Trump refused to do that.

Of course, if the US president has the power to tell the US-DOJ who to investigate and who not to investigate, obviously Trump has the authority to tell the Justice Department to speed up the existing investigation on 1MDB scandal. As a matter of fact, it's hard to reject Trump's command because the 1MDB had used the US financial system to launder billions of dollars of dirty money.

Therefore, in the name of national security, nobody dares argue with President Trump when the order to expedite the 1MDB investigations was given. As head of state, however, Najib Razak is untouchable, for now. But it's a totally different story for Jho Low. Mr. Low does not enjoy any diplomatic immunity whatsoever, therefore, can be arrested anytime and anywhere.

By confiscating Jho Low's yacht, the US-DOJ could be sending a message to Najib regime that Trump administration is not interested in only civil lawsuits but also criminal charges at the same time. They could also prepare for an eventuality Jho Low wanted to strike a deal with the US authorities - giving up his boss Najib Razak in exchange for lighter sentence or even freedom.

In the event Najib loses the coming 14th General Election, he would also lose his privilege as the head of state, thus losing his immunity from possible prosecution on American soil. Trump administration could request extradition of Mr. Najib to United States. Both US and Malaysia have a 1995 extradition treaty to combat international criminal activity, such as drug trafficking, terrorism and money laundering.

While the 1MDB scandal fits into money laundering category, it was initially investigated under civil lawsuits. Now, do you understand why the US-DOJ asked for a stay on its civil lawsuits while conducting a criminal probe on 1MDB as well? Without criminal lawsuits , neither Jho Low nor Najib Razak can be extradited to the US to face justice. In the year of the dog, Najib is toast! - FT

Memetik sumber, The Star melaporkan wanita 28 tahun itu dijemput makan malam bersama suspek kira-kira jam 8 malam pada 25 Februari di sebuah restoran di Kangar, Perlis, tetapi tutup.

Suspek kemudian dilapor memandu ke tempat terpencil sebelum kejadian berlaku.

Sumber-sumber memaklumkan harian itu bahawa mangsa tidak melawan kerana bimbangkan keselamatannya.

Mangsa juga sebelum itu mengadu suspek meraba punggungnya di pejabat tahun lalu dan mengancam menyusahkan kerjanya jika dia menolak.

Pada hari yang sama dia diraba, kata mangsa, suspek turut membuat laporan mendakwa insiden itu tidak berlaku dan dakwaan itu bertujuan merosakkan nama baiknya.

Dalam laporan itu, pegawai kanan itu mendakwa wanita itu tidak gembira dikritik kerana tidak melakukan kerja dengan betul.

Lelaki itu juga mendakwa wanita itu dipengaruhi “pihak luar”.

First of all, it looks like it is the Donald Trump Administration that is finally going to drain the swamp in this 1MDB scandal. Hail to Donald Trump. Donald Trump does not really give a shit about MO1.

Secondly the FBI is following the crooks and their ill gotten assets very closely. They have been tracking the Equanimity - which is not a very difficult thing to do.

The FBI issued a letter of request to the Indons on February 21. Jokowi has gladly cooperated. This means MO1 is not very big in Indonesia. Jokowi does not give a shit about MO1 either.

I will not be surprised if the yacht was carrying plenty of cash. Their credit cards are useless. Their bank accounts are useless. All those big name stores frequented by Hippo in those European countries now do not want to deal with her. So someone else has to pay for her purchases. There must be paymaster.

Beberapa siri rampasan aset dan dana melibatkan syarikat 1MDB oleh pihak berkuasa antarabangsa menimbulkan lebih banyak persoalan mengenai penyelewengan syarikat milik kerajaan Malaysia itu.

Sebelum ini media antarabangsa The Swiss mendedahkan sebanyak RM400 juta wang berkaitan 1MDB yang dirampas pihak berkuasa negara itu pada November tahun lalu mungkin akan diserap kerajaan Switzerland kerana tiada pihak yang menuntutnya.

Persoalannya kini, mengapa Kerajaan Malaysia tidak mengambil sebarang tindakan supaya wang tersebut dikembalikan oleh kerajaan Switzerland.

Persoalan tersebut ditimbulkan Ahli Parlimen Petaling Jaya Utara, Tony Pua.

“Soalan terbesar untuk Datuk Seri Najib Razak jawab ialah kenapa kerajaan Malaysia masih belum mengambil sebarang langkah untuk mendapatkan semula wang yang dirampas tersebut?

“Atau sekurang-kurangnya, adakah Perdana Menteri cuba untuk mendapatkan penjelasan daripada pihak berkuasa Swiss untuk mengesahkan bahawa rampasan RM400 juta itu merupakan wang yang dicuri daripada dana 1MDB?” soal Tony.

Menurutnya, segala persoalan ini perlu dijawab memandangkan ianya melibatkan aset yang dicuri atau diubah dari 1MDB.

Terkini, pihak berkuasa Indonesia berjaya merampas kapal layar Equanimity milik Jho Low bernilai US$260 juta (RM1 bilion) yang didakwa diperolehi menggunakan dana terkait 1MDB oleh Jabatan Kehakiman Amerika (DOJ).

Kapal layar ini merupakan salah satu daripada aset berjumlah US$1.7 bilion yang hendak disita oleh DOJ menerusi  Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative membabitkan 1MDB.

“Adakah kita akan membiarkan Amerika Syarikat meneruskan rampasan aset-aset ini yang bernilai hampir RM7 bilion tanpa berbuat apa-apa?

“Atau, adakah Perdana Menteri berasa sangat malu kerana telah banyak wang yang dicuri dan diubah dari 1MDB sehingga beliau tidak berani meminta dana ini dipulangkan?

“Adakah Najib meminta kawan baiknya Donald Trump supaya dana ini dikembalikan kepada 1MDB dan boleh membayar keseluruhan RM40 bilion hutangnya?

“Atau, adakah beliau sangat bermurah hati menjanjikan dana tersebut sebagaimana yang beliau pernah lakukan bagi pihak KWSP dan Khazanah untuk membuat pelaburan bagi memulihkan ekonomi Amerika Syarikat,” soalnya lagi. – Roketkini.com

The 1MDB dragnet draws even closer 

with Equanimity seizure...

The seizure of the RM1bn superyacht virtually guarantees that the 1MDB scandal will take centre stage in the coming general election. 

So the Equanimity has finally been seized by of all people, the Indonesian authorities, working together with the FBI since 21 February 2018, within sniffing distance of Malaysia.

It is quite the irony given that many have been tracking it all around the world in Macao, Hong Kong, New Zealand among other places using ship-tracking websites.

Many questions arise: why come to Bali and near the highly monitored Straits of Malacca? Surely that must have been testing luck. How did the Indonesians get involved when the superyacht was essentially under a US Department of Justice/FBI probe?

It was not long ago that Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi said the government had received no information about the superyacht after it reportedly docked in Aceh on 23 October 2017. “No information on this has reached me,” he said then.

The Equanimity, which has a top speed of 19.5kts, has reportedly been in Indonesian waters since November. (Why didn’t the vessel come to Malaysia? But then, over here an oil tanker that was seized seems to have vanished a couple of days ago!)

The 1MDB scandal

The 91.5m-long superyacht, built in the Netherlands and delivered in 2014, was allegedly bought with stolen 1MDB funds, and the DoJ had been seeking to forfeit almost RM7bn in assets (including the superyacht) through civil lawsuits before it switched to a criminal probe.

A yachting website says the gleaming steel-and-aluminium luxury boat is equipped with “a spa and beach club, a beauty salon, a gym, a sauna, a Turkish bath and a large pool” and comes with 14 cabins for 28 guests and requires a crew of 33. Talk about living it up at a time when many Malaysians are struggling to cope with the rising cost of living.

Isn’t it ironic that  a vessel called Equanimity (meaning calmness or composure) is now the centre of a global storm? Jho Low’s reaction to its seizure, made through a spokesperson, was anything but equanimous as he lashed out at the DoJ for “global overreach”. But who is this spokesperson, and where is Jho Low hiding now?

For the yacht to be now found this close to Malaysia, this close to the general election here, virtually guarantees that the issue, along with massive corruption, will take centre stage in the campaign. (The downside is that it might eclipse many other critical issues such as the use of non-democratic means to remain in power, an overcentralised federal system, neoliberal policies, unsustainable development and a lack of affordable housing.)

Of all the rotten luck for the ruling coalition, when they would much rather the 1MDB issue be forgotten after Treasury Secretary General Irwan Serigar said 1MDB would be shut down as soon as its debts are paid.

US$4.5bn(RM19.2bn) 1MDB funds misappropriated

But paid out of what funds? Belonging to whom? Rafizi had plenty to say about that yesterday.

The key question is, how can property development profit be used to pay off 1MDB debt especially when 1MDB acquired the land on the cheap from the government? Any large property development profit (as a result of having acquired cheap land) should rightly belong to the government (ie the Malaysian people) – and not be used to pay off huge 1MDB debt as a result of bonds/loans/borrowings taken for goodness-knows-what. But then there is a black hole to cover in 1MDB.

And now this yacht has been seized. Not brilliant timing for the BN as it heads to the polls, just when it was trying to put a lid on the Robert Kuok brouhaha. Will we now see more revelations in the coming weeks before the general election? - Anil Netto.,Aliran

Bayang Azeez muncul di hujung terowong...

Seakan cahaya di hujung terowong, begitulah kiranya reaksi kita apabila nama Ahli Parlimen Baling, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Rahim muncul secara tiba-tiba di tengah siasatan projek terowong dasar laut Pulau Pinang yang sedang dalam fasa kajian.

Semalam, kontraktor projek terowong terbabit Konsortium Zenith Construction Sdn Bhd dilaporkan telah mengeluarkan surat tuntutan kepada Azeez dan seorang lagi, ekoran kegagalan menjalankan khidmat rundingan pengurusan risiko dan pematuhan peraturan bagi pembinaan terowong sepanjang 7.2km terbabit.

Azeez dan ahli perniagaan tersebut dituntut membayar RM3 juta dan RM19 juta masing-masing.

Menurut laporan Malaysiakini, surat tuntutan tersebut telah dikeluarkan terhadap kedua-dua individu  pada 24 Februari.

Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) ketika ini masih menjalankan siasatan besar-besaran terhadap projek terowong yang menghubungkan pulau tersebut dengan Seberang Perai.

SPRM turut telah menyiasat menyoal 70 individu termasuk menahan dua pegawai eksekutif Zenith bagi membantu siasatan; selain Timbalan Ketua Menteri II Pulau Pinang, P Ramasamy dan Exco Kerajaan Negeri, Lim Hock Seng.

Namun kini apabila nama Azeez muncul dalam radar siasatan SPRM, pemimpin Barisan Nasional negeri termasuk Pengerusi BN Negeri, Teng Chang Yeow dan Adun Pulau Betong, Farid Saad, dilaporkan enggan mengulas perkara terbabit.

Dalam reaksi terhadap isu terbabit, Azeez mendakwa bahawa beliau langsung tidak pernah menerima bayaran tersebut, malah tidak pernah bertemu dengan CEO Zenith, Datuk Zarul Ahmad Zulkifli.

TKM II Pulau Pinang, P Ramasamy berkata bahawa beliau terperanjat mengetahui bahawa syarikat itu telah membayar ahli politik UMNO itu.

Warrant of Arrest For JoLo, MO1 Next?

Just when you thought the 1MDB case has gone cold in the USA, after Donald Trump, the US DOJ has asked the Indonesians to seize that yacht Equanimity which was bought by JoLo using money stolen from the Malaysian taxpayer.

The wheels of justice turn slowly. But it looks like they do turn. And very painfully too.

This is just like the ancient 'death by a thousand cuts' where criminals are slowly cut to pieces.

Jho Low,1MDB,Equanimity,and Bali...

First the "big time" Hollywood producer had his wings clipped. From hobnobbing with the likes of Leonardo de Caprio and the Hollywood set, Riza Aziz is now hiding behind the skirt of big fat mama. Nowadays Riza uses diapers ....not on his head....but under his trousers because he is scared shitless that the US DOJ will swoop down upon him and take him away the same way they did with Osama Ben Ladin. So most of his days are spent not hiding behind the skirt of Big Mama but hiding UNDER the skirt of Big Mama. There is room under Big Mama's skirt for a Bean Bag and cable TV to keep Riza from getting bored.

Riza dares not show up in his multi million pad in New York, London or anywhere else where he has spend OUR money to buy properties for himself and for his mama aka Flying Hippo. The only reason he is not in remand or under arrest is because Najib is still prime minister of Malaysia. When Najib goes, Riza goes in....either Sugai Buloh or some holding cell under the care of the Department of Justice of the United States. Long story short...Riza Aziz sudah mampus.

Now it is Jho Low's turn. The jet setting billionaire lifestyle he has been living these last few years is now entering what the Chinese say is the "die standing" stage. And like that pondon Idiot who kepit his balls, this roly poly Joh Low is just a mass of protoplasm and he too cannot run. He can waddle like a duck, and, like the Flying Hippo, is most comfortable in water. On dry ground, his movements are somewhat ungraceful, to say the least.

Take Equanimity away from him and what do you have? A fat slob whose days of tripping the light fantastic is over. And once they slip the cuffs on him....not Paris Hilton, not Miranda Kerr nor any of those money grabbing money loving ladies will have any time for him anymore.

I am still waiting for news as to whether they have him in custody abroad the ship...or they have him in remand somewhere in one of the cells in Indonesia or in parts unknown. Or maybe the US DOJ is already flying him back to the US for, after all, he is a person of interest to them in their attempts to get to the bottom what happened in 1MDB.

As for PDRM they have had problems trying to locate Jho Low. You cannot blame PDRM because even if Jho Low is fat, there are a few billion people on this earth and the fatso can be anywhere.

So what is PDRM excuse for not locating the Yacht? A friend of mine in K Hell said "PDRM tak tau nak sebut E Q U A N I M I T Y....so how to ask people if they have seen the yacht?"
