Have you investigated Najib, Zaid asks IGP...

Former law minister Zaid Ibrahim wants to know whether the police have investigated Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak on his various scandals.

"Firstly, I expect IGP, Khalid Abu Bakar to be a professional policeman.

"He should tell us if he has done any investigation into the police reports lodged against the PM.

"The job of a police officer, like the IGP, is not to protect Najib or any person," Zaid said in his blog today.

He was referring to police reports lodged against Najib on the RM2.6 billion 'donation' and RM42 million SRC International Sdn Bhd scandals.

Najib has denied any wrongdoing or allegations that he misappropriated public funds.

Zaid  was responding to Khalid's warning to him against holding an anti-Najib rally on March 27.

He said the rally, with former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad attending as well, would not be a street protest, but a peaceful gathering.

"When I used the word 'rally behind Tun M' it refers to giving support to Mahathir, not a public protest on the street with Mahathir. Simple English," he said.(IGP no faham Inglishhhh, simple as that he!he!he!)

He said the people have a constitutional right to assemble express their views on the prime minister.

"(Khalid) must not use his position to intimidate people or misrepresent what the law is, in order to prevent people from expressing their views on the PM," Zaid added.

Khalid has warned that a rally against Najib is illegal, as a prime minister can only be ousted through a vote of no confidence or in an election. - mk

Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man
Pasai P/Raya Umum Sarawak depa
bekukan pengambilan warga Bangladesh...

PAS mendakwa tindakan Kerajaan Persekutuan membekukan pengambilan warga Bangladesh hanyalah taktik sementara.

Baca seterusnya...
