Tak mohon maaf, Rafizi masih tunggu saman Najib...
Naib Presiden PKR Rafizi Ramli masih
Menurut Rafizi, surat tuntutan guaman

'No apology' Rafizi still waiting for Najib's suit...
Contacted today, he said that since it is the year end, everyone could be on holidays.
However, the Pandan lawmaker saw no alternative for Najib and Rosmah apart from suing him.
"I don't think they would back down, which is a good thing. I don't see how they could back down," he told Malaysiakini.
Furthermore, Rafizi said the letter of demand had stated that he should apologise within 14 days and this expires on Dec 28.
"Perhaps they are waiting to see if I would change my mind," he added with laughter.
On a serious note, the Pandan lawmaker said that he would not reconsider and was prepared to face the prime minister and his wife in court.
Last week, Rafizi responded via his lawyers that he would defend his statements in court, arguing that his remarks were justified and fair.
On Dec 4, Najib and Rosmah slapped the PKR leader with a legal threat over his speech on Nov 23, where he talked about fuel subsidies and diamond rings being purchased for Rosmah.
Rafizi had told the audience that each month the Umno government saved RM1 billion from the removal of subsidies, which could be used to purchase 20 expensive rings for Rosmah, each costing RM20 million.
Najib and Rosmah’s lawyers stated that the allegations against the couple were "baseless and false", made with the "primary intention of attacking and damaging" their reputation for no justifiable reason.
It also added that the allegations had caused the couple great distress and embarrassment.
After receiving the letter of demand, the Pandan MP said he was looking forward in going to court as his lawyers were eager to grill Rosmah.
Furthermore, he added that the "ring had been a source of intrigue for years".- mk

Stop price hikes in private healthcare due to GST...
Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) exco member and Sungai Siput MP Dr Michael Jeyakumar has urged consumer associations to look into the price hike of healthcare in the private sector, due to the implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) on April 1.
Speaking to Malaysiakini yesterday, he was responding to a statement made by Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (AHPM) president Dr Jacob Thomas.
Jacob had said that costs for private healthcare will go up after the government rolls out the GST.
This is because private doctors are considered by the Customs Department as ‘outsourced services’ and their services will be charged with a tax of six percent.
Jacob added that the AHPM had explained to the Customs Department that almost all private doctors are independent consultants who have very close working relationships with the private hospitals. They are therefore not “outsourced services” as the services are provided by both parties. However Customs has not revised its policy.
“The consumer associations should look into this matter closely. Even though the government is exempting a few items including medical products from GST, it will still be a factor in the costs,” Jeyakumar (left) said.
He added that PSM has also been urging the government to postpone the GST as a recession is about to hit the country.
Meanwhile, Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations (Fomca) president Marimuthu Nadason said that the government should look to exempt healthcare wholly from GST.
He added that the government cannot compromise on healthcare as it was part of the essential services that people expected the government to provide.
“We elect the government for security, food security, healthcare and education. If they cannot compromise on something like healthcare, it is better to privatise Parliament then,” Marimuthu told Malaysiakini yesterday.
Previously, Health Minister Dr S Subramaniam and Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan had said that there would be no increase in private healthcare after GST is implemented as it is part of the GST-exempt category.- mk
