Nazri's son whacks a security guard...

The son of de facto law minister Nazri Abdul Aziz was alleged to have assaulted a security supervisor at a plush condominium at Mont Kiara on Tuesday night.

Contacted today, Brickfields district police chief Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid confirmed the that two police reports related to the incident had been lodged.

"The case has been classified under section 160 of the Penal Code committing affray," he said, declining to divulge details of the case.
A condominium management spokesperson confirmed that there had been a minor altercation between the security and the visitor, adding that further comments should be directed to the police.

A source, familiar with the incident, told Malaysiakini that the alleged assault was captured on CCTV cameras.

Cover up pressure on

The individual added that the condominium management was now under pressure to cover up the incident because security firms depend on the federal government to renew their licence.

The bodyguard had alighted from the luxury MPV to have his particulars recorded on behalf of both vehicles, but the condominium guards insisted that both drivers do so separately.

An argument ensued, resulting in the supervisor being called in to mediate the situation.

"The bodyguard claimed that the person in the Porsche was a 'Tengku (royalty)', but the supervisor explained that they had to register each driver because of the regulations set by the management," said the source.

This apparently angered Nedim who alighted from his vehicle and allegedly choked the supervisor's neck before landing a punch on his head.

The supervisor, in his 50s, suffered bruises. He lodged a police report at the Jalan Travers police station the same night after undergoing checks at a hospital.

Meanwhile, the source said Nedim's bodyguard had lodged a police report on his boss's behalf at the same police station.

 
He claimed to have handed over Nazri's (below) calling card from the Prime Minister's Department.

The bodyguard, said to have identified himself as Nedim's employee to the police, admitted engaging in an altercation with the supervisor, because of the latter's rude behaviour.

He had allegedly told the police that the supervisor punched him first and later challenged him to a fight.

He also told the police that during the fracas, he floored the supervisor with a kick to the guts, adding that the supervisor then sucker punched him in the face.

Anak Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz didakwa menyerang seorang penyelia keselamatan di sebuah kondominium mewah di Mount Kiara pada malam Selasa lalu.

Ketua Polis Daerah Polis Brickfields, Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid ketika dihubungi hari ini mengesahkan bahawa dua laporan polis berkaitan dengan kejadian itu telah dibuat.

"Kes diklasifikasikan mengikut Seksyen 160 Kanun Keseksaan kerana terbabit dengan pergaduhan," katanya, yang keberatan memberikan butiran lanjut kes itu.

Seorang jurucakap pengurusan kondominium itu mengesahkan bahawa terdapat perbalahan kecil antara anggota keselamatan dan tetamu bangunan itu. Beliau enggan mengulas lanjut dan berkata butiran kejadian perlu dirujuk kepada polis.

Menurut sumber, kejadian berkenaan sempat dirakamkan melalui kamera CCTV.
 
Pengurusan kondominium itu juga dikatakan sedang menghadapi tekanan supaya ‘menutup’ kejadian itu kerana firma-firma keselamatan bergantung kepada kelulusan kerajaan persekutuan untuk memperbaharui lesen operasi mereka.

Pada kejadian itu, anak menteri berkenaan Mohamad Nedim Mohd Nazri Aziz, yang memandu kereta sport Porsche ke kondominium teresebut. Beliau diikuti oleh pengawal keselamatnnya yang memandu sebuah MPV mewah.

Pengawal peribadi itu dilaporkan turun dari kenderaannya untuk mendaftar butir-butir peribadi bagi tetamu yang melawat bangunan itu tetapi pengawal kondominium berkeras bahawa kedua-dua pemandu mesti berbuat demikian secara berasingan.

Ini menyebabkan pertengkaran hangat dan penyelia keselamatan dipanggil bagi menyelesaikan masalah itu tetapi perkara sebaliknya berlaku.

james1067 - Just put the ministers and some of the royaltys children to shame. The ministers are only driven around in their perdanas and have a bodyguard in the car. This Tengku drives a Porshe with a bodguard driving an MPV as an escort.

Ubah - Poor security guard, and the supervisor. Who knows what will happen to them soon? They are just getting RM5 an hour to feed themselves and their family...

NADARAJAN RENGASAMY - That is why i prefer Malay leaders from PAS. They are humble and down to earth people. Most of the Malay PAS leaders and their children are well mannered. They dont smoke cigar, drive a porche with body guards and assult others. Only the UMNO ministers Children smoke Cigar, drive porche and assult others. This is what will call ABUSE of the 'hak keistimewaan orang melayu'. Orang Melayu di kampung hisap Curut, anak Nazri hisap Cigar. Orang Melayu Kampung naik Proton, anak Nazri naik Porche. Orang Melaku Kampung Polis tangkap, anak nazri polis protect.
