Addressing the issue for the first time, Khalid - who is Ijok assembly representative - said the address on his MyKad is still Kampung Pasir Tuntong, which is in Bukit Rotan, Selangor.
"With regard to my position to contest in Ijok, there is no issue," he said after attending the Selangor state assembly sitting this evening.
Seputeh Umno Youth chief Mohd Razlan Muhammad Rafii had claimed that the transfer would only have been possible with a change in address in the MyKad, and charged that this was internal sabotage to disqualify Khalid from contesting in Selangor.
However, the Election Commission (EC) has clarified that Khalid's constituency was changed following a boundary correction exercise.
Though politically unaffected, Khalid said he will still raise the
matter with the EC on behalf on the other voters who were also involved
in the sudden shift.
I will take up this matter for the voters in that area whose rights have been prejudiced, he said.

‘Selangor gov’t seeks meeting with EC’
Khalid said he has instructed the Selangor state secretary to invite Election Commission chairperson Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof to attend an exco meeting to explain the situation.
“We want them to explain what has happened and why, if those whose constituency was changed were informed and how did the EC obtain their consent, he said.
On a separate matter, Khalid said the government would consider the advice by the Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency’s (Selcat) to conduct a forensic audit on Yayasan Selangor, which suffered about RM500 million in losses during BN’s rule in the state.
“We must look at the cost and existing agreements that cannot be reversed but I think that a forensic audit will be done, but not in a day or two, we will need about six months to get some reasonable results which will be use as a basis for further action,” he said.
Meanwhile, commenting on the delayed swearing-in of councillors for the Petaling Jaya City Council which was due on May 7, Khalid denied any rift between political parties over the matter.
“We wanted to make sure they have an understanding of the integrity pact that we want to enforce... It is not about the parties trying to fill the posts with their candidates, that had been done much earlier,” he said. - malaysiakini
Beliau

cheers.
