Khalid pounds Najib for 'BN-only' meeting...

Chief secretary to the government, Mohd Sidek Hassan should not have been at the 114th Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers' meeting if it is reserved only for BN's state chiefs, Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim said.

"As a civil servant, the chief secretary should not have attended the meeting which was clearly meant for political parties. He should have been more professional," Khalid said today in a statement.

NONEHe rapped Najib (right) for his "shameless admission" that the meeting is BN-exclusive, sounding the warning that it was setting a dangerous precedent in encouraging civil servants to discriminate against Pakatan governments.

"Mohd Sidek should have had the courage to inform the prime minister that the meeting is discriminatory and that he should have been exempted," he said.

Khalid also questioned the funding of the meeting.

"Who funded the meeting? The federal government or the BN? If the federal government is funding the meeting how can the prime minister arrogantly say that it is common practice and that there is nothing wrong with it?" he asked.

He added that the prime minister should set a far better example for civil servants if he is genuinely committed to implementing Malaysia's economic transformation programme.

cheers.

  3. When yo take the Oath of Office when you saaume the post of Prime Minister you are Prime minister of all Malaysian not only the 3 million or so members of BN. The Oath of office is a sacred document and any violation of it must be taken seriously. It looks like we want to play football with our hands to qualify for the final round of the next world Cup.
