Kes lembu kondo Feedlot - SPRM buat konar baring pula...

Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) telah menubuhkan sebuah pasukan khas untuk menyiasat aduan terbaru berkaitan dengan kontroversi National Feedlot Corporation (NFC). Dalam satu kenyataan, SPRM berkata, pasukan khas itu yang diketuai oleh pengarah siasatan SPRM, Datuk Mustafar Ali(kanan), akan memberikan penumpuan kepada keseluruhan kes ini.

"SPRM ingin mengesahkan bahawa suruhanjaya ini telah menerima aduan terbaru berhubung kes berkenaan.

"Suruhanjaya ini memandang serius semua aduan rasuah yang dibuat dan mengambil tindakan tegas without fear or favour," tegasnya.

Menurut SPRM lagi, tindakan pengumpulan bukti dan keterangan telah bermula sejak isu berkenaan dilaporkan dalam Laporan Audit Negara 2010.

Suruhanjaya itu berkata, sebahagian besar dari isu yang dibangkitkan dalam aduan terbaru ini telahpun diambil tindakan sewajarnya.

Bagaimanapun, tambahnya, SPRM tidak boleh mendedahkan butiran siasatan yang sedang dijalankan selaras dengan peruntukan di bawah seksyen 29[4] Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia 2009.

"Semua pihak diminta untuk memberikan kerjasama sepenuhnya dengan tidak mempolitikkan isu ini sehingga menimbulkan pelbagai spekulasi sehingga boleh menjejaskan tindakan SPRM," tambahnya.

MACC forms special team to probe NFC

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has set up a special team to investigate the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) scandal involving cabinet minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil's family.

This is despite the commission saying last week that it had found no elements of corruption in the case, and had forwarded the matter to the police.

In a statement today, the anti-graft body said that the team is led by its investigation director Mustafar Ali (right).

Confirming that it had received a new complaint on the matter yesterday, MACC said that it has in fact been collecting evidence since the issue was highlighted in the 2010 Auditor General 's Report.

"Most of the issues raised in the new complaint have been dealt with... The commission takes all complaints seriously and takes stern action without fear or favour," it said.

However, the MACC said that it cannot reveal evidence garnered during investigation in accordance with Section 29(4) of the MACC Act 2009. The commission also called on parties involved to extend their cooperation and "not politicise the issue to the extent that it raises all sorts of speculation that could effect MACC's actions".

Shahrizat(left) has been under fire over the RM250 million government loan given to NFC, run by her husband Mohamed Salleh Ismail and their children Wan Shaninur Izran and Wan Izzana Fatimah Zabedah.

The Auditor-General had described the project as being in a "mess", while the PKR had exposed that NFC funds were used, among others, to purchase two luxury condominiums in Bangsar.
