The election goodies are here alleady lo!!.....

From heaven it poured,yes, the Islam Hadhari gomen of Pat Lah Badawi is spending almost RM 3.5 billion this year and RM 8 billion yearly to ensure it wins the next general election scheduled sometime this year.

Among the goodies Pat Lah announced were:

- Salaries to increase between 7.5% for senior
management and 35% for the two support staff;
- 100% increase in cost of living allowance (Cola);
- Police and army personnel to get additional 20%
on the increase; and
- Pensions to be adjusted accordingly.

Like many Malaysians,I welcome the salary increase,only if its genuine,because the civil servants deserves it. After all its almost 15 years there were no such exercise.

Anway,the goodies were given out in the hope that the civil servants will "payback" in the form of "undilah BN demi kebahagian anda" And more suprising,the Police and Armed Forces were given an additional 20% to ensure they perform their duty well during election time. The police force to make sure that the oppositions are check and with the army,both,to contribute postal votes 100% for BN.

Alas! brace yourself with the "tsunami effect" commeth after July,when prices of goods will be up between 7.5% to 35%,toll rates,petrol price,etc..etc..will be raised. Not to forget,the coming 2007 budget,new taxes will be impose to offset the gomen salary monetary committment.

So fellow Malaysians,dont be too happy sangat!! Its a case of "I kasi U,U sokong gua dan U bayaq lebih sikit ma!"
