Duit masuk pada 2014, Najib terkejut & sedih pada 2015...

Lawyer Shahredzan Johan today fired a sarcastic salvo at the testimony of a witness in Najib Abdul Razak's SRC International Sdn Bhd trial.

The witness, Ihsan Perdana managing director Dr Shamsul Anwar Sulaiman, had told the Kuala Lumpur High Court that the former premier was shocked and upset to learn that someone transferred money into his personal bank accounts.

"He was shocked and upset in 2015 when MACC investigated," Shahredzan tweeted.

"So shocked and upset that he changed the attorney-general, removed his deputy, senior ministers and harassed MACC. Shocking. Upsetting."

Syahredzan, an aide to DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang, also pointed out that Najib did not ask for a police report to be lodged on the matter despite being "shocked."

Under cross-examination by deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Saifuddin Hashim Musaimi, Shamsul also said that Najib did not instruct him to lodge a report with the police or MACC regarding the transactions.

Najib is facing seven charges involving SRC International funds totalling RM42 million.

Najib: Why is this main news?

Meanwhile, Najib took to Facebook to complain about Malaysiakini and other news outlets highlighting the fact that he did not ask Shamsul to lodge reports.

"I am not sure why this is the main news... The witness was remanded for four days by MACC for the SRC case. The witness was released after the remand period expired.

“The witness came to see me in order to explain about SRC International. Is the witness supposed to return to MACC to report the same SRC International case for which he was just released from remand?” he asked.

In July 2015, Abdul Gani Patail was dropped as attorney-general and replaced with Mohamed Apandi Ali, who later cleared Najib of any wrongdoing over the funds in his accounts.

The official reason for the replacement was Gani's health condition.

However, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad last year said Gani (photo) was preparing to charge Najib over the 1MDB scandal when he was removed.

At the time of his removal, Gani was heading the special task force probing the RM2.6 billion in Najib's accounts, which the latter claimed was a donation from Saudi royalty.

Najib had also axed then-deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin and Mohd Shafie Apdal from his cabinet for their critical views concerning 1MDB in July 2015. - mk

PH needs to address race issues to beat UMNO/PAS...

Pakatan Harapan needs to take on the race debate or it will lose ground to the combined forces of Umno and PAS, says Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Speaking at a press conference today, Mahathir defended recent controversial statements by Education Minister Maszlee Malik, and stressed that talking about racial issues did not mean one was being racist.

“He (Maszlee) spoke a little about race, this does not mean he is racist," he said.

“In our party (Bersatu), many people talk about race. Those with Indian heritage will talk about the Indians, the Chinese from DAP will talk about the Chinese, the Malays will talk about the Malays, the Ibans about the Ibans and the Kadazans about the Kadazans.

“But they are all Malaysians, you cannot question their nationality. Race is different."

Mahathir was asked to respond to calls for Maszlee to be removed from his position for defending the cabinet’s decision to retain the quota system in the pre-university matriculation programme.

The Pakatan Harapan chairperson also said that the pull of Umno and PAS on Malays has to be countered.

“The problem is if you (want) to win the support of the bumiputera.

"And now it has become important because Umno dan PAS have joined forces and are using race and religion to win support.

“If we do not explain our position on race, I think we will lose in elections,” he predicted.

Bersatu EGM on July 20

At today’s press conference, held after a Bersatu supreme council meeting, Mahathir announced that his party will hold an extraordinary general meeting on July 20 to amend its constitution.

This is to allow more Bersatu members to attend its annual general meetings.

"We want to ensure that the delegate (system) is fair to all members, we want to give all members a chance to take part, at least at the division level.

"We will also be determining the composition of our divisions (during the EGM),” he said, adding that delegates who attended last year’s AGM will be required to attend the July event.

No venue was announced for the EGM.

Mahathir also announced that his party obtained approval to use the name 'Bersatu.' This request was initially denied by the Registrar of Societies under the previous BN administration. - mk

Hard-nosed IGP Abdul Hamid
calls out to 1MDB fugitive Jho Low...

Come back to face justice because you cannot hide forever – that was the message from Malaysia’s hard-nosed new police chief to fugitive financier Jho Low, believed to be the mastermind behind the country’s multibillion-dollar 1MDB scandal.

Appointed by Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad earlier this month, Abdul Hamid Bador’s comments came amid heightened expectations that efforts would be intensified to complete the investigation and finally deliver justice on the whole notorious affair in coming months.

Abdul Hamid said on Thursday that his force was ready to offer Low, a cherubic Malaysian-born businessman, and his key lieutenants necessary protection if they chose to return home.

“We have laws [in this country], so return. Do not issue statements remotely through lawyers, denying this and that,” the national police chief was quoted as saying by the Malaysiakini news website.

Some reports said Low – an acquaintance of deposed prime minister Najib Razak, who is on trial for his role in the 1MDB scandal – is living freely in China. Beijing has said it is cooperating with Malaysia on the case but has no knowledge of Low’s current location.

Related image

Low is a wanted man in Malaysia, Singapore and in the United States. Through US-based lawyers and publicists, he has repeatedly denied allegations brought against him by Mahathir’s government, calling them a political witch hunt. Abdul Hamid said his force was continuing efforts to seek out Low and “his other five or six right-hand men”.

“Those who are directly involved, they are still hiding. So I would appeal to them, come back. There is no way, nowhere they can hide,” he said.

“If they think they are innocent, prove that in the Malaysian court. I can assure them that the Royal Malaysian Police will not harm them. They can come back. They can engage the best lawyers in the whole world to defend them, it’s OK. But I encourage them to come back.”

Abdul Hamid said a government bounty for information about Low had so far not resulted in fresh leads, but his officers were aware of the current location of Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil, another Malaysian wanted in relation to the 1MDB investigations.

Nik Faisal was a director at a former subsidiary of 1MDB – a sovereign wealth fund founded by Najib when he came to power in 2009. Abdul Hamid’s said Nik Faisal was “in hiding” somewhere in Southeast Asia.

Prosecutors estimate US$4.5 billion was misappropriated from 1MDB between 2009 and 2014. Najib, defeated in last year’s election by his 93-year-old one-time mentor Mahathir, is facing 42 criminal charges for his alleged involvement – for which he insists he is innocent. The ex-premier’s lawyer has suggested Najib is a “victim of conspiracy” by Low and his associates.

Abdul Hamid took over from Najib-appointee Fuzi Harun, and has quickly gained public favour, with many on social media praising his no-nonsense style. The police chief quickly garnered the support from the force’s top brass to establish an independent police complaints and misconduct commission, which his predecessor was against.

In 2015, after getting involved in the investigations into Najib’s links to 1MDB, Abdul Hamid was unceremoniously transferred from his position as deputy chief of the Police Special Branch to a defunct administrative department in the then prime minister’s office.

As well as move Abdul Hamid, Najib at the time purged his attorney general, deputy anti-corruption agency chief and dissenting cabinet ministers. Mahathir appointed Abdul Hamid as the Special Branch chief soon after his election victory last May. - scmp

Lagi teruk, sebelum PH menang, 9 Mei 2018 punca tunai Felda merudum tingga RM35 juta sahaja. Itu siapa yang sakau semua tu?

Masa BN jaga takkan Najib dan Isa Samad nak cerita berapa banyak dia sakau. Yang orang Felda tahu semua yang elok-elok je tapi realiti sebenarnya?

Bila PH menang, RM6.23 billion pelaburan dibawa masuk Felda.

Dah tentulah cuba stabilkan balik.

Dikala Felda baru nak bertatih semula, warga Felda kembali bising ikutkan sangat kata Najib nak duit raya. Tapi tahukah mereka, berapa banyak duit Felda, duit Peneroka yang Najib dah ambik? Lagi nak dengar cakap Najib ke? - The Malaysia Online

The biggest coward now wants to debate...

Here’s Why Najib Dares To Debate Only
After Becomes “Prisoner-in-Waiting”...

July 18, 2017 was the day Mahathir Mohamad urged, even persuaded, then-PM Najib Razak to attend a forum so that both leaders could have a debate. Scheduled to be held on August 13 that same year in Shah Alam, Mr. Mahathir said – “It is a good chance for him to explain things and clear his name.” The forum, called “Nothing to Hide 2.0”, was a replacement to a cancelled similar dialogue.

Comically, before Mahathir organized the version 2.0 of “Nothing to Hide”, the version 1.0 was actually engineered by none other than Najib himself. Yes, the “Nothing to Hide 1.0” was supposed to be a marketing gimmick to gather some 1,500 pro-Najib supporters so that a well scripted question-and-answer drama could be held to boost the image of the scandal-plagued prime minister.

According to the organiser, all questions regarding the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the controversial investment arm 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) will be answered by Mr. Najib. We know what happened on June 5, 2015, the day the Malaysian leader was supposed to tell all and sundry that he didn’t steal RM42 billion of peoples’ money.

Najib, who had actually self-proclaimed as “Bugis Warrior” less than 24 hours before the forum started, shamelessly chickened out of the “Nothing to Hide 1.0”, the very forum he had gotten his boys organized. The sight of 89-year-old Mahathir, who walked fearlessly like a celebrity into the PWTC (Putra World Trade Centre) building by 9am, had sent shivers down Najib’s spine.

The prime minister cowardly went into hiding, and told the IGP (Inspector-General of Police) – Khalid Abu Bakar – to cancel the dialogue at the very last minute. The disgraced police chief claimed it had to be cancelled due to safety and security reasons. Of course, like any Bollywood film, Najib pretended that he was absolutely upset with the police’s decision.

Not only the trembling Najib refused to face Mahathir at the “Nothing to Hide 1.0” forum on June 2015, the fake Bugis Warrior was so terrified when he learned that Mahathir was using the dialogue to talk about 1MDB that the police was instructed to stop the old man from continue with his speech. So, Mahathir only managed to give a short talk before the police intervened.

It had gotten so bad that the Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, laughed and ridiculed PM Najib for not attending the “Nothing to Hide” dialogue. He said – “How can you have a dialogue called ‘Nothing2Hide’ featuring a person who has everything to hide? Obviously he won’t show up.” He also insulted Najib like “a drowning man who will try to reach and hold on to anything -including ‘faeces’”.

Two years after the June 2015 dialogue, Najib similarly chickened out of the “Nothing to Hide 2.0” debate on August 2017. In fact, Mahathir was having so much fun seeing Najib squirms so much so the old man had again asked the Bugis Warrior on November 2017 for another debate – “Nothing to Hide 3.0”. In total, Najib had cowardly gone into hiding 3 times in relation to “Nothing to Hide” forum alone.

Angered and humiliated by Mahathir for hijacking his “Nothing to Hide 1.0”, the despicable Najib had quietly sent some mobsters to create trouble at the former’s organized “Nothing to Hide 2.0”. Two projectiles were launched to attack Mahathir, followed by smoke bombs and punches. But Mahathir, the master strategist, was well prepared with Najib’s amateurish dirty tricks.

Najib’s hired-thugs were easily cornered and captured, thrown inside a locked room and were happily beaten by Mahathir’s boys instead. Only after Mahathir’s boys had enough of the troublemakers were they handed over to the police. Journalists reported that by then, Najib’s gangsters were so badly whacked that they were totally unresponsive.

But the three versions of “Nothing to Hide” dialogue or forum were not the only time where Najib had chickened out. As early as 2012, he had rubbished a series of debates between his ruling Barisan Nasional coalition government and now-defunct opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition – claiming debates were not part of the country’s political culture.

In fact, during his premiership from 2009 to 2018, Najib Razak had never once dared to debate with anyone. Even after his downfall, he continues running away when he “smells defeat” as can be seen during an hour-grilling with Al-Jazeera’s reporter Mary Ann Jolley on Oct 26 last year. And that was not even a debate but just an interview with a woman journalist.

1MDB RM42 Billion Scandal - Dialogue PM Najib Razak with NGO - Its 1MDB Its Najib Its Mahathir
1MDB Scandal - Dialogue PM Najib Razak with NGO

So when Najib suddenly challenged DAP supremo – Lim Kit Siang – to a debate, it raises eyebrows. More importantly, what had changed since the last time Najib cowardly rejected any debate challenge and preferred playing hide-and-seek instead? First, Najib has lost his power. Second, Najib has become “prisoner-in-waiting”. Third, the Malay-vs-Chinese conflict is at record high.

From the beginning when Mr. Lim accepted the challenge, he had fallen into “Najib’s trap”. The DAP adviser, despite his courage and clean record as a politician in the last 53 years, probably had forgotten that there was no need to dance to the tune of Najib. Unlike Kit Siang, who is now part of the government, Najib, on the other hand, is facing the prospect of 20 years in prison.

In essence, Najib has nothing to lose but everything to gain with the debate. While it’s true that Kit Siang has nothing to lose as an individual since he had humbly rejected any government post after the victory last May general election, the same cannot be said about the 1-year-old Pakatan Harapan coalition government.

Although Najib has in principle agreed to Lim’s suggestion that the debate should focus on “How Malaysia became a global kleptocracy and how we can become a leading nation of integrity”, it was just a red herring. The crook was not interested to debate about corruption or money laundering, but to use the platform to play racial and religious cards to the hilt.

When an extreme Islamic group like ISMA could make a mountain out of a molehill that a postage stamp bearing the image of a church was an indication that Muslims were increasingly being sidelined in Malaysia, despite the fact that the stamp series was first issued in 2016 when Najib regime was still the government of the day, imagine what Najib could manipulate with a Chinese like Kit Siang.

As an example, Najib Razak would ask during the debate why there has been no justice after the death of fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim. If Lim Kit Siang explains that it was actually 50-250 Malay thugs who started the riot at the Hindu temple that led to the death of Adib, his answer will be twisted as anti-Malay. No matter how Lim explains, it would be spun as anti-Malay and anti-Muslim.

Najib Razak and Lim Kit Siang

Najib would also accuse the government, of which DAP is part of, of mismanaging the Tabung Haji despite the fact that the Muslim pilgrimage fund had been transformed into a Ponzi “Get-Rich-Quick” scheme under the previous Barisan Nasional government. No matter how Lim explains, Najib will declare in the debate that Chinese DAP has stolen money from Tabung Haji that it required a bailout of RM17.8 billion.

Of course, Najib would most likely accuse DAP of using ICERD (International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination) as a tool to attack Islam, despite the fact it was PM Mahathir, who promised to ratify the core UN instruments related to the protection of human rights in his address at the UN General Assembly on Sept 28 last year.

Yes, the desperate Najib will use the “live debate” as a platform to stir up racial and religion sentiments among the Malays that the Muslims and Malay Rulers have lost power to the “Chinese, Christians and Communists”. The crook will definitely manipulate the debate into a racial conflict, playing up issues such as the Rome Statute, PTPTN, Felda, matriculation quota and whatnot.

Sure, Kit Siang has lost some face for cancelling the debate which he had agreed initially. But he also deserves the credit for listening to advice from concerned parties, ranging from government leaders to average people on the streets. Already, pro-Najib cybertroopers, propagandists and bloggers are mocking the DAP supremo as a coward.

But Lim Kit Siang has already won the war after struggling for 53 years fighting corruption, abuses of power and criminal activities like money-laundering. The collapse of the corrupted Barisan Nasional coalition and the 42 charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT), money laundering and abuse of power currently faced by Najib were sweet victories.

Najib, facing a loss in his SRC International trial, desperately needs a diversion to draw public attention away from his corruption and money laundering cases. We’re talking about a man who has no shame as can be seen with his “Malu Apa Bossku (Why The Shame, Boss)” marketing campaign. It will hurt Najib Razak even more if Lim Kit Siang ignores his debate challenge.

The simple fact that Najib continues to provoke Lim, despite the cancellation of the debate, goes to show how frustrated the former premier is that the DAP adviser refused to swallow the hook, line and sinker. Calling the senior Lim as a “serial liar”, Najib said – “This is a debate, not a wrestling match. Why run?”

Najib Razak - A Coward
Najib Razak - A Coward

In reality, Najib should be the last person on the planet to call anyone a liar or a coward. He would probably claim that he can debate today, and not when he walked the corridors of power, because he is free now. In case he had forgotten, his cowardice was a well known fact and has become a joke in at least 130 countries since September 2015.

Nope, we’re not talking about the “Nothing to Hide 1.0” forum, dialogue or debate. We’re talking about the self-proclaimed Bugis warrior chickening out from the 16th International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) in Putrajaya, the same federal administrative centre of Malaysia where the office of the then-PM Najib Razak was located.

Held from 2-4 Sept, 2015 the conference theme “Ending Impunity: People, Integrity, Action” had successfully attracted over 1,000 delegates from 130 countries. Najib was supposed to deliver his scheduled keynote address, meaning his schedule was pre-booked beforehand and he had the free time to attend the conference held in his backyard.

Yet, the coward quietly went into hiding (again) and sent two low ranking Ministers – Paul Low and Abdul Wahid – to shield him from potential humiliation by the international delegates. Perhaps Najib should explain why he did not use the opportunity to explain to the delegates from 130 countries that the US$681 million (RM2.6 billion) discovered in his account was a donation.

On the first day of the conference, the Transparency International chief Jose Ugaz wasted no time by grilling PM Najib over the US$700 million scandal, openly asking him to explain who paid the money, why, and what happened to it. Too bad Najib, the biggest coward, wasn’t as courageous back then as he is today. His strategy had been from “Cash is King” to “Hide is King”.

It’s hilarious that Najib Razak celebrates after only one debate rejection from Lim Kit Siang, when the same Najib had rejected dozens of debate challenges from Lim previously. There’s no honour in debating with a prisoner-in-waiting, especially one who is also a serial liar. Kit Siang did the right thing by refusing to argue with a crook. The crook will drag him down to his level. - FT

Pemimpin 6 parti menghadap Sultan Perak...

- mk

Is Zahid trying to flee to Saudi...

Zahid's Passport Return Appeal Denied But His Persistence On Getting Back Passport Means He Really Wanted To Flee...

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s wish to fly to Saudi Arabia is over. The Federal Court has today thrown out his final appeal to get back his seized passport so that the former deputy prime minister could depart Malaysia to perform his “Umrah”, also known as “mini Hajj”, in Saudi. The Federal Court is the highest court and the final appellate court in the country.

The Federal Court five-member bench led by Justice Azahar Mohamed and consisted of Alizatul Khair Osman Khairuddin, Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim, Idrus Harun and P. Nallini, was unanimous in its dismissal of the appeal by Mr. Zahid. Justice Azahar said the panel found that the Kuala Lumpur High Court Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah had decided sufficiently and judiciously.

Justice Azahar announced – “The High Court judge had considered that Zahid is facing serious and multiple charges and the dismissing of his application was made to prevent any violation of bail conditions. We found that we have no good and valid reasons on why we should interfere with the learned High Court judge’s decision. Therefore, we dismissed this appeal and affirmed the High Court judge’s decision.”

Zahid Hamidi is facing a record 47 charges – comprising 12 charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT), 8 charges of corruption and 27 charges of money laundering, involving RM124 million. In comparison, his former boss, Najib Razak, has been slapped with 42 charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT), money laundering and abuse of power.

The decision was particularly important because it was reached “unanimously”, meaning none of the 5 judges think there’s a justification to doubt the previous ruling on May 3 by the High Court. In short, all of them agreed that Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah had considered all factors in dismissing Mr. Zahid’s application for the return of his impounded passport.

Umrah is basically non-mandatory lesser pilgrimage made by Muslims to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which may be performed at any time of the year. Hajj, on the other hand, is obligatory or mandatory for every Muslim once in their lifetime – provided they are physically fit and financially capable. Mr. Zahid wanted to travel to Saudi between May 9 and June 3 to perform the “Umrah”.

Zahid Hamidi and Family - Umrah in Saudi Arabia
Zahid Hamidi and Family - Umrah in Saudi Arabia

However, High Court Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah said – “From my understanding, there is no immediate need nor any obligation of the applicant to perform the Umrah. Although the applicant has been performing Umrah for the past 30 years, the situation and circumstances currently prevailing are very different as he is presently facing serious and numerous charges.”

Delivering the bad news to Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the High Court judge justified his decision – “The presumption of innocence against the accused must be balanced with the fact that with like of the seriousness of the charges, the likelihood and risk of absconding that can all be discounted. So the application for the release of passport is dismissed.”

After the High Court’s verdict, Zahid Hamidi (comically mocked as Zahid Komidi by his critics), unsatisfied and devastated, went to the Court of Appeal to reverse its decision. The Court of Appeal’s three-member bench, led by Justice Kalthum Abdul Majid and flanked by Justice Harminder Singh Dhaliwal and Justice Stephen Chung Hian Guan “unanimously” rejected his appeal.

Together with the Court of Appeal’s decision on May 14, the final conclusion by the Federal Court today (May 23) means a total of 8 senior judges think Zahid, the second biggest crook after former Prime Minister Najib Razak, cannot be trusted to be put on an aeroplane and travels to Saudi to perform “Umrah” and comes back home to face his trials.

Zahid’s insistence and perseverance of wanting to perform “Umrah” is indeed very suspicious. As far as one can remember, no crook has been so persistent like him in appealing to retrieve seized passport to exercise the non-mandatory minor pilgrimage. Even Najib did not try to get back his passport to attend his son’s engagement in Indonesia about a week ago.

The risk of absconding is extremely high considering Mr. Zahid is looking at a maximum 20 years’ jail, whipping and a fine – if convicted. Like Najib Razak’s partner-in-crime, Jho Low, who used to hide in Dubai, Zahid could perform the same stunt. Zahid could use the religion card to fly out of the country and seek refuge in Saudi Arabia or nearby U.A.E (United Arab Emirates).

And like fugitive Jho Low, the partner-in-crime of Najib Razak, Zahid Hamidi could blow the same trumpet from the Middle East to justify his refusal to go back home – accusing the Mahathir government of harassment and political persecution against opposition leaders like him, crying and bitching that it is simply not possible to receive a fair trial in Malaysia.

Of course, there’s a small percentage he won’t disappear upon arrival in Saudi to perform his so-called “Umrah”. At best, Zahid wanted to beg and seek the God’s help so that he could escape prison. At worst, Zahid wanted to use religion to flee the country and return only after the present government collapse in the next general election. Either way, he’s absolutely desperate to get out of Malaysian soil.

Even if the Java-migrant somehow honours his promise to return home after his “Umrah”, which is highly unlikely, it would set a bad precedent. Other criminals and crooks, including Najib Razak and families, could argue in the High Court, Court of Appeal or Federal Court to also return their seized passports so that they can perform “Umrah”, only to seek refuge or political asylum in the Middle East.

It’s safe to presume big crooks like Zahid Hamidi and Najib Razak might have in their possession passports of various countries. Even if they don’t, it’s absolutely possible they can buy new passports with ease with their ill-gotten wealth well hidden in other countries. It will be too late to cancel their Malaysian passport once they make their move in Saudi Arabia.

Like the former Prime Minister of Thailand Thaksin Shinawatra, Zahid Hamidi and Najib Razak can live in self-exile, but still able to pull strings to destabilize the current Malaysian government. The decisions – “unanimous” – by the judges of the Court of Appeal and Federal Court were indeed terrible news to all the crooks of the previous corrupt government.

With the last chance to flee the country now effectively closed, “Zahid Komidi” will be facing his trials fixed on the following dates – Nov 18 to 22, Dec 2 to Dec 6, and Dec 9 to Dec 13. Although this is not about the 1MDB scandal, Zahid’s trial is expected to be another blockbuster when the prosecutors reveal how the crook steal and launder money to the tune of RM124 million. - FT

Sikap netizen yang pelik...

Hebat netizen mendebatkan kejadian membakar kereta Mufti Perlis.

Jangan biarkan mereka membakar negeri.

Saya memerhati sejak ia mula dicetuskan.

- MSO
