Kalu kalah,Rafizi ada invoke,Azmin ada apa...

Rafizi akan tetap selamanya dikenang atas pendedahan demi pendedahan panasnya.

Lebai2 dari parti pak lebai pun pasti terkenang bagaimana mereka mengusung Rafizi keluar masuk kampung utk berceramah bab lembu Syahrizat.

Tak sedikit lebai yang jadi YB akibat tempias pendedahan Rafizi.

Azmin pula akan tetap dikenang selagi kukuh berdirinya Penjara Sungai Buluh kerana, Azmin  pernah bernawaitu untuk merobohkan Penjara Sungai Buluh demi presidennya.

Usahkan Penjara Sungai Buluh, pasir Sungai Langat pun dah hampir langsai.

Pemilihan PKR tidak berapa lama lagi. Samada Rafizi tergolek atau Azmin makan tanah.

Jangan gusarkan Rafizi, kalau tergolek dia akan reti bangun, kesat2 bontot dan masuk kontena Invokenya.

Azmin kalau makan tanah, dia nak menyorok dalam rumah sapa?

Pun jangan risau, tau lah dia lari masuk bawah kelangkang bapak angkat dia Madey, pengerusi PPBM.

- mk

Khazanah Board Mass Resignation – The Secret Operations n Hanky-Panky Deals In The Boardroom...

Malaysia Government’s strategic investment fund – Khazanah Nasional Berhad – has announced that all 9 members of its board have resigned. Simply known as KNB by most of its contractors, the mass resignation raised eyebrows due to their undated resignation letters, suggesting that the board of directors were actually “protesting or challenging” Mahathir administration.

If the board of directors really thought they could hold the new government to ransom because they were indispensable, then they should get their head examined. Set up in 1994 by Mahathir Mohamad himself, KNB is nothing but a business entity of the government of the day (which previously thought will always be Barisan Nasional coalition with UMNO as its backbone).

Yes, incorporated as a public limited company, Khazanah is actually owned by the Government of Malaysia and administered by the Minister of Finance Incorporated. Therefore, the 9 members of the board were just representatives from the Government. Ultimately, the Board is at the mercy of its boss – Government of Malaysia.

As the “Lord” who had been ruling for 61 years since independence in 1957, Barisan Nasional had never thought it could lose power until the night on May 9. In the same breath, all the 9 members of the Board of KNB had never thought they would be jobless prior to the day their old boss – Najib Razak – stunningly loses Putrajaya.

Image result for Azman Mokhtar รข€“ Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad

Even after the Pakatan Harapan coalition took over as the new government, the Board thought they were immune from firing or sacking. After all, under the leadership of Managing Director Azman Mokhtar, KNB’s realisable asset value grew from RM63.7 billion to RM157.2 billion between 2005 and 2017. Its net worth adjusted grew to RM115.6 billion (end-2017) from RM40.5 billion a decade ago.

If those 9 members of KNB Board were as genius as they made themselves to be, they should not have had offered to resign in the first place. Did they expect to be counter-offered by Prime Minister Mahathir? They should just resign as if they were Warren Buffett or Steve Jobs and never looked back. It would be their boss’ (government) loss for losing the talents, would it not?

Bankers, analysts and economists had generally credited Khazanah for instilling greater professionalism in GLCs (government-linked companies). But like the bombshell dropped by the new government that the previous Najib regime had – secretly – accumulated RM1 trillion in debts, the economic and financial experts were not happy the Board of KNB was forced to resign.

In truth, like other sovereign wealth fund across the globe, KNB knows how to selectively report its investments to paint a rosy picture. Bad investments which went bust would be covered up, as in the case of “Operation Twist” and “Operation Red”. Exposed by Straits Times, Operation Twist was a highly secretive investment project started in the mid-2008.

Image result for AirAsia Tony Fernandes & CIMB Nazir Razak รข€“ On GE14 Road Trip

A former banker with Swiss bank UBS – Luqman Arnold – revealed how Khazanah pumped about RM3 billion into a venture as part of diversification of its investment portfolio into Europe. The operation quickly morphed into Operation Red, which called for the acquisition of a 2.6% interest in UBS through an investment vehicle where Olivant (Arnold’s investment group) and Spain’s Santander bank were partners.

It was a bad deal from the beginning. In spite of investment of RM3 billion for the 2.6% equity in UBS, Khazanah would not be granted any position in its management or board. The deal eventually collapsed spectacularly when the 2008 subprime crisis exploded and Lehman Brothers went bankrupt in September 2008.

KNB’s entire RM3 billion stake in UBS, held in accounts managed by Lehman, was completely wiped out as a result of the bankruptcy of the United States’ fourth largest investment bank. It would take Khazanah 4 years later to recoup about 50% of its investment after lodging tons of claims with Lehman’s global administrator – PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Of course, the so-called genius Azman Mokhtar and his board members covered up their screw-up and never disclosed their eye-popping losses in their annual report. But such reckless investment decision wasn’t the only one that they made. In August 2011, Malaysian Airline System (MAS) and rival AirAsia’s plan for a share swap raised eyebrows of irregularities.
Malaysia Airline System and Air Asia - Share Swap Plan

Under the grand plan, AirAsia’s parent Tune Air would receive 20.5% stake in MAS while Khazanah, which owned close to 70% of MAS, would take a 10% stake in AirAsia. The plan was hatched to improve synergies between the two carriers. However, all hell broke loose over allegations of insider trading between MAS and AirAsia.

AirAsia stock climbed from RM2.50 in March to a record high of RM4.14 in late July while MAS was near its 10-year trough of below RM1.50. Khazanah lost tons of money as it was forced to buy super expensive AirAsia shares but sold its stake in MAS cheaply to Tony Fernandes and his partner Kamaruddin Meranun. The deal was called off eventually.

More importantly, the unfair share swap also enabled Fernandes and Meranun to be executive directors of MAS while none of MAS’ Board of Directors was elected as Air Asia’s director. As the result, AirAsia was able to learn about MAS’ entire business plans while MAS had zero clues about its rival AirAsia. It was not a merger but merely a so-called “shareholder alignment”.

The amusing part was when MAS was forced to pay RM18 million to Queens Park Rangers (QPR), a soccer team owned by Tony Fernandes, as part of advertising stunt to promote Malaysia Airline System. KNB’s chief Azman Mokhtar didn’t lift a finger over the shady deals. But how could he? LSG Sky Chefs Brahim Sdn Bhd was given a mind-boggling deal in flight catering business.

The company, owned by ex-PM Abdullah Badawi’s brother, was awarded a contract all the way to 2028 for providing over-priced meals to MAS. Azman Mokhtar’s failure in turn around MAS – again and again – wasn’t the only comical story worth to be studied by first year students in business school. His “failed” restructuring project included the RM120 million in tuna fishing venture.

Image result for Azman Mokhtar รข€“ Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad

After failing to catch any tuna but losing RM120 million of taxpayers’ money instead, Azman Mokhtar had also burnt RM935 million in the fiasco of Parkway Holdings, a Singapore listed company that runs health care facilities. He was also humiliated in the deal involving the swap of the KTM land in Tanjong Pagar for land parcels in affluent Marina South and Ophir-Rochor.

The boastful Azman Mokhtar told all and sundry about the breakthrough in the complex deal, only to find out that the Malaysians had to pay up to RM1 billion in the form of development fee simply because the Singapore government was a smarter negotiator and business dealmaker than him. From the beginning, there have been truckloads of conflict of interest in the Board of KNB.

For instance, why was Nazir Razak, the brother of scandal-plagued Najib Razak, in the board of Khazanah? The sovereign fund holds stakes in Tenaga Nasional, Telekom Malaysia, Axiata Group, CIMB Group, Malaysia Airports Holdings and IHH Healthcare Malaysia Airlines, among others. But Nazir Razak is also the Chairman of CIMB Group.

Interestingly, AirAsia’s Tony Fernandes is also a great buddy of Nazir Razak. Mr. Nazir was found to have helped his big brother – then-PM Najib Razak – in accepting and distributing US$7 million (£4.88 million; RM27.32 million) to politicians before the 2013 national election – money which could have been stolen and laundered from 1MDB scandal.

Mahathir has slammed the fund, accusing it of having deviated from the original purpose of its creation – to support Bumiputera equity in Malaysia. He claimed that instead, Khazanah had become a convenient vehicle for the previous regime to reward politicians and non-professionals with positions and lucrative compensation packages.

Like it or not, all the 9 members of the Board were part of 17,000 political appointees in the government-linked companies (GLCs), one way or another. PM Mahathir said the resignation of Khazanah group managing director Azman Mokhtar and the rest of the board members would enable the government to restructure the sovereign wealth fund accordingly.

Mahathir, of course, knew about Khazanah’s RM3 billion ventures in UBS, which eventually went bust. He knew about Azman Mokhtar’s true capability, the same way he knew about Shazalli Ramly, the CEO of Telekom Malaysia who was paid a monthly salary of RM300,000 (US$75,000; £57,000) but became the architect of “Hebat Negaraku” music video to help BN election campaign.

But the most frustrating part was the revelation that Khazanah Nasional Berhad was made to bailout Najib’s 1MDB scandal, giving away RM1.2 billion to the previous government in exchange for redeemable shares. The taxpayers’ money was used to pay some of 1MDB’s dues to Abu Dhabi fund IPIC last year. Did Azman Mokhtar or any of the KNB Board members raise any objection? - ft

Terdahulu pemimpin2 UMNO/BN bersama walaun2nya sama2 telah sebar fitnah "RIBUAN JEMAAH HAJI TERPAKSA JADI GELANDANGAN KERANA KERAJAAN TELAH MENARIK BALIK SERVIS DAN PENGINAPAN PERCUMA." utk menyalahkan kerajaan PH..

Bersama Steven Sim, Timbalan

Saya tergamam,” katanya ketawa besar.

Mujurlah kerajaan bertukar tangan.

The faux outrage over MARA...

The MPs for Pekan and Bagan Datuk have been behaving as if they both have a crystal ball in which they can see what the future holds for their kind. They are predicting the outcome of policies of the current government.

I will hereafter refer to them as ‘Pekan’ and ‘Bagan Datuk’. No names will be mentioned, as it is a case of an ordinary citizen taking on two MPs for their acts and omission of the past.

Both are enjoying freedom of expression which allows them to say their piece – truth or fiction. When they were in charge, such a right (not privilege) was never accorded to many individuals and the media. Never mind that the state media and those aligned to them silenced many an independent voice.

But the duo took it further by passing insolent, rude and impudent lies on the current prime minister and other leaders of the ruling coalition. In short, it was a well-drilled exercise aimed at demonising them.

Having given some background, I must insist that I have the same rights as the duo, but I will not resort to lies or attempts to demonise them. This column is not about them or the rights of indigenous people.

Before the rent-a-crowd mob organises a protest and declares me anti-national, let me make a solemn declaration: I am all for affirmative policies which help the poor and the down-trodden.

Betrayed trust

Majlis Amanah Rakyat or Mara has been on the lips of Pekan and Bagan Datuk over the past two days. As a citizen, I too have the same rights as the duo, and am perfectly entitled to express my views on the subject. I will merely put forth my thoughts and opinions. You, the discerning reader will have to make up your mind.

The operative word in Mara is amanah (trust), a scarce commodity when the duo ruled the roost. Many forgot that officials of Mara were holding whatever monies allocated or property bought in trust for the people.

But that trust was betrayed. Over the years, Mara was plundered and no one, including Pekan or Bagan Datuk raised a whimper. Their silence was deafening even when the proverbial sh*t the fan.

These days both have awoken from their slumber, like Rip Van Winkle, and are voicing their views. I see it as trying to score brownie points among party members. Their newfound interest in Mara and its associated agencies is because fundamental changes are being considered by the government to strengthen their structure.

Pekan and Bagan Datuk are objecting to change. They want the old ways when many could put their fingers in the till without any inhibitions. Such abuse resulted in reduced allocations amounting to millions which should have gone to deserving groups.

It was then like a small party of circus performers. The chairperson of many agencies came from the same party as the minister. The directors and senior officials were political appointees – card-carrying cadres.

And let it be said that we are not insinuating any impropriety on the part of the minister or all of them. On the contrary, I go on record to categorically state that some of these people were involved in large-scale cheating and deception.

Dirty money

For four years, Mara and some of its agencies had been on our radar. In 2015, Australian investigative journalist Nick McKenzie and I spent months tracing how dirty money from rotten deals involving purchase of property in Melbourne ended up in the pockets of a few including top officials in Mara Inc – the investment arm of Mara.

We broke the story with documents and graphics showing the trail of deceit and the circuitous “washing” of dirty money. We discovered the paper trail from shell companies in the British Virgin Islands and front companies in Malaysia which were used to receive the funds. A father and his two sons were instrumental in laundering the dirty money through a web of companies.

Documents related to the transactions and the money laundering were given to both Mara’s integrity office and the MACC. A handful of people were arrested, held for a few days and then released without any charges.

The timing was wrong. The MACC was at its peak with its then-director-general exonerating everyone from the prime minister down to the poor office boy. I can only guess it was political expediency.

Where were Pekan and Bagan Datuk when some of their trusted party men worked the system and robbed Mara under the ‘old’ system? At the end of the day, Mara was left carrying the baby. Where were your voices then?

MACC and by extension, the Attorney-General’s Chambers became useful porticoes to absolve people in the highest office of any blame. The indiscretion of some Mara Inc’s officials was mere chicken feed in the whole picture and lumped in the “no mandate to prosecute” category.

Today, Pekan and Bagan Datuk want to stand out as virtuous and righteous people who want to defend the rights of “their people and their religion.” Why did they remain silent on the thieving and deceit took place under their watch?

At least, the changes proposed the government can help put an end and identify those who were on the gravy train. Are they afraid of that?

Pekan and Bagan Datuk should take the blame for putting foxes in charge of hen-houses in Mara and its subsidiaries and hundreds of other government agencies. Nothing unusual happened; besides the wily animals swallowing the birds whole and spitting out the bones. - R Nadeswaran.mk

Keputusan PRU14 menyebab lebai2 PAS hampir hilang pedoman.

Liar Najib Admits Authenticity Of CIA Letter – He Should Be Interrogated n Charged For Treason...

The mandatory punishment for murder, drug trafficking, treason, and waging war against Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) is death. And ex-prime minister Najib Razak could have committed treason and depending on how you argue the case, he could have even tried waging war against the King. The leaked CIA letter scandal is more than just an ordinary letter soliciting for support.

As expected, serial liar Najib claimed he has no knowledge about a letter purportedly issued by Research Division, a division under his watch when he was prime minister. Research Division, also publicly known as the Malaysian External Intelligence Organisation (MEIO), the country’s main foreign intelligence was headed by its agency director general Hasanah Abdul Hamid.

Interestingly, the disgraced ex-premier said such matters should have remained as government secrets. He said – “This is a government secret. If we reveal it, it means nothing can be considered a government secret.” Clearly, Najib didn’t question the authenticity of the letter at all. This means the letter drafted by the spy agency to CIA is genuine – not fake.

Image may contain: one or more people

So, congrats Mr. Najib, you have just admitted the existence and authenticity of the letter. Like the 1MDB scandal where he blames the board of directors, despite the fact he was the chairman of 1MDB’s board of advisors; he also washes his hands off the CIA letter scandal. He simply denies any knowledge, saying – “You have to ask them (Research Division).”

Now that the authentication of the letter is not being disputed, the next question will be from whom Director General Hasanah received her instruction to write and send the letter to the Director of U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, Gina Cheri Haspel. Najib claims that the letter was “agency to agency”, so he should not be blamed or be held responsible.

True, in normal circumstances, such “agency to agency” letter happens every time. But it can only be considered normal if the contents are related to national security issues such as potential terrorist attacks. However, in the case of the letter drafted by Hasanah to CIA, it was clearly an invitation to the American spy agency to interfere on internal affairs of Malaysia.

It would be an insult to the people’s intelligence for Mr. Najib to suggest he neither has knowledge of the letter nor has instructed it to be written. Unless spy girl Hasanah was his mistress, there was no compelling reason why she had taken her own initiative to ensure her boss continues to cling to power. She must have had received Najib’s instruction, or at least his endorsement.

Najib’s lame excuse that it wasn’t his fault – the letter was printed on the letterhead of the agency (Research Division) itself and not on the letterhead of the Prime Minister’s Department. Comically, he also justified that the letter was not signed by him but by the head of that agency. Therefore, Najib argues that Director General Hasanah should be held responsible.

That is perhaps the dumbest excuse Najib has ever made. When President Donald Trump instructs his CIA director to draft a letter to another foreign intelligence agency on certain national security matters, do you think the CIA chief will send the letter using letterhead of the White House and the signature of Trump? The CIA director is answerable to the POTUS, the same way Hasanah to Najib.

Sample CIA Letterhead

The damning letter – sent 5 days before the May 9 general election – reveals how the Najib regime had appealed for U.S. support in the event the scandal-plagued Najib wins the 14th general election by a simple majority – or even just 1 seat. Clearly, such request for the U.S. interference in sovereign Malaysia’s affairs qualifies it as first class treason.

On the surface, the letter looked quite harmless. However, it also contained element of bad faith – accusations of Mahathir Mohamad’s past anti-West, anti-Semite and autocratic policies. Arguably, it also contained element of bribery – welcoming the U.S. presence in the region, especially the South China Sea, to provide balance towards China’s maritime assertiveness.

The leaked letter to CIA also opens the floodgate of the possibility that Najib regime may have sent similar letters to other foreign intelligence agencies soliciting for support in exchange for access or sale of national security or assets. More importantly, Najib Razak may have betrayed the Constitution and Agong (King) by inviting the U.S. interference in sovereign Malaysia’s affairs.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) appoints Prime Minister as a Member of Parliament (MP) who, in his opinion, is most likely to command the confidence of a majority of MPs. In the event Najib wins the 14th general election by a simple majority of just 1 seat, there is no guarantee that the Agong will definitely appoint the son of Razak as the Prime Minister.

That’s because there could be last minute of MPs switching sides as they were being bought over, as can be seen in Sabah where the state government changes within 24 hours. Hence, the Agong, in his opinion, might think the then-opposition leader Mahathir is most likely to command the confidence of a majority of MPs.

The CIA, thanks to Najib’s invitation to interfere, however, may have a second opinion which is different from that of the Agong (King). Therefore, armed with CIA support, Najib could be seen as waging war against Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) if he strongly insisted to be sworn in as the prime minister despite Palace’s disagreement. Both Hasanah Abdul Hamid and Najib Razak should be interrogated.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohamad Fuzi Harun should do his job and not dragging his feet. The police chief admitted he personally make a police report on allegations of possible links between terrorist group – Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) – and Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy. What is stopping IGP Fuzi from doing the same against Najib Razak? - ft
