Bukit Selambau makin kacau............
BN pula ada "advantage"nya kerana BN boleh janji projek-projek "mee segera on the dot".
Semasa musim pilihanraya kecil sebegini pesta ahli-ahli lompat parti dah jadi amalan biasa.

Muhyuddin admits BN gomen neglected the Indians.......
The BN candidate for Bukit Selambau Ganesan accompanied UMNO deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin visited a Tamil-medium school in Sungai Tukang where Muhyiddin Yassin contributed RM350,000 to the school. The money had been allocated in the stimulus package.
Muhyiddin told the media that the money reflected BN's commitment to help people regardless of their race.
He added that he felt sorry for the children at the school which is currently in a deplorable state. Muhyiddin admits BN neglected the Indians
Muhyiddin conceded that the government had focused on a "certain race" for the past 20 years and he was aware as to why the Indians felt marginalised under BN's administration.
source: malaysiakini
First I thought Muhyiddin donated RM 350,000 from his own pocket, knowing well all UMNO big shots got stacks of money here and overseas. However this is another of those "projek mee segera" only during a by-election.Why didnt UMNO/BN gomen think about donating to those Tamil schools when BN won the seat in 2004?
Now Muhyiddin got the balls to says that BN neglected the Indians, but, why now? Is this another drama?
Hellooooo........Samy Vellu, all this while you said, MIC had done so many things for the Indian communities. Suddenly, the future DPM conceded that the government had focused on a "certain race" for the past 20 years.
So for the past 20 years what has the BN gomen done to the rakyat of Bukit Selambau?
Shame on you Samy Vellu.........
cheers.

Mohd. Nizar - UMNO sold off Pulau Batu Putih yet I'm ‘penderhaka' .......
Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin said that the ‘penderhaka' accusation goes back to even before the Perak constitutional crisis emerged in this first part of his interview with Malaysiakini.
How do you rate your chances in Bukit Gantang?
I would rate myself of having between 60 and 65 percent (winning chance). The reason being the guy who jumped (from PKR to Umno) is from a (state) constituency in Bukit Gantang, which is Changkat Jering. Once (Mohd) Osman (Jaliu) jumped, the repercussions on him and BN turned into an advantage for us. The other factor is that in Kuala Sepetang, (state assemblyperson) Tai Seng Ng has performed well there. Thirdly, Bukit Gantang is probably one of the most underdeveloped Malay belt.
(Also) we have already gone into the seat before the death of Roslan (Shaharum). Even before Osman jumped over, we have done preliminary work in Bukit Gantang, particularly in Changkat Jering to apologise to the voters over what their assemblyman had done.
Do you know that Bukit Gantang is where the spiritual headquarters of PAS is? I have been in that spiritual headquarters for several years now. My presence has been felt at least twice a month without fail. Every week, we have a programme there at the state level.
Bukit Gantang has always been an Umno stronghold until 2008. Umno lost because of internal rifts, which may have been mended now. How do you view the support of the Malays for you in that area?
I believe when the voters shifted (their support) from BN to Pakatan, particular in Kuala Sepetang and Changkat Jering, it showed that the Malays were ready for change. The coup d'etat has exacerbated the disgruntled feelings of frustrations, and that helped BN lose support. So I do not believe the long standing history of Malays sticking to Umno cannot be broken. We believe that through the jumping of Osman in the under-developed (and) impoverished Bukit Gantang, the Malays would say that the time for change is now. We have the support from the Malays, but I must say that there is still a lot of painful work to be done.
What are the main issues which you will raise at this by-election?
The issue of teaching of science and mathematics in English is one. The other issue of great interest for us, to the Malays, is that there is no Malay institution of higher learning in Bukit Gantang - be it a teachers training centre or MRSM (Maktab Rendah Sains Mara). There is none. Number two, there is no new Malay township. You find some small pockets in residential areas. But the area still symbolises the traditional Chinese business community. There is nothing like the Malay businesses in Ipoh or Manjung. Third, the traditional kampungs in Bukit Gantang are highly dependent on the seasonal crops of durian and palm oil. I think this has to be changed. We need a new way of looking at agriculture, from a more modern perspective.
Why the need for a Malay higher learning institution?
When there is a higher learning institution - either MRSM or community college, university - the area would automatically boost up because the whole of Malaysia would be sending their kids here. I feel that Bukit Gantang needs that kind of institution. I am not talking so much from a nationalistic standpoint - I do not have that in mind.
Umno has been portraying you as a ‘penderhaka' (traitor to sultan). How much do you think this will affect your chances?
They did that ‘penderhakaan' at three levels.
Firstly, when I mooted the idea in (last) May to replace the director of the religious department (Jamry Sury), the elements of treason had already been played out at that time. But I was purely exercising my right - the menteri besar has the full authority in terms of administration. This issue was an indication to me that ‘penderhakaan' was going to be the main platform for their attack.
Secondly, it came when government mooted the idea of issuing land titles for households. Umno attacked me and said I was a traitor to the Malay tradition. In Malay culture, ‘gadai tanah' is a crime. But Umno has been doing this many times before. As late as May, they sold off the whole island of Pulau Batu Puteh. I can cite many more examples. I manage to fend off their attacks because the decision to give land titles were made before the dissolution of the state assembly in 2008. DAP didn't have a say in this (for they never mentioned it in their manifesto). For them to say I'm treasonous and a stooge of the DAP, I think that is null and void.
Third, when I was ordered by the ruler to resign, it was a sure thing for BN to hit me. But I was cautious - I refused the instruction by Tuanku (Sultan Azlan Shah) in his own language. Initially Umno attacked me, but there are NGOs and literature groups that say that what I did does not reflect ‘penderhakaan‘.
There has been one or two stories in the past where the Malay leaders used exactly the same phrase to show their outmost respect for the institution of the palace. When they started talking about past histories, they showed that what I did was based on the outmost respect.
What happened subsequently was that a can of worms had been opened. People started talking about how Umno had committed ‘derhaka' towards the royal institution over many years. There has been files and files of recorded documents where they went against the rulers. So their accusation that I had committed ‘derhaka' is null and void. But it is an advantage to us - people are now more informed of what Umno did in the last 10 to 15 years, including the removal of immunity of the rulers, ridiculing and belittling them. They have done everything.
If you win by a narrow margin or lose, will you drop your claims as the legitimate Perak government?
Not at all! That is a separate matter... If it is a win, it encompasses everything. Even if it is a very slim majority, to me that is still an indication that people want change and the truth. But if we lose it does not affect our position as the legitimate and rightful government. The fight in the court and in the state assembly will still go on.
Are you ready to go all the way?
We are ready to go all the way. Even to the extent of meeting under the tree. As long as there is no dissolution (of the state assembly), we are the legitimate government. Under the laws and practices of the Westminster system, the government selected by the people is the official, legitimate and legal government. We will go all out.

Anwar Ibrahim and PR coalition perceived as a threat .......
During the UMNO AGM grand debate, both Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim and his Pakatan Rakyat coalition came under intense fire for their perceived threat to the Malays and the community’s special privileges. Among issues brought up............
Ismail Kijo, Ampang, Selangor, said,
"Other races now dare to act rudely towards the Malays because of people like Anwar Ibrahim, who lies and says that we are just like other races. We have special rights in this country but even then, we are still backward compared to other races."
Tumpang Sekole(TS) : Who is lying in the first place, the gomen or Anwar? The Lingam video tape episode, the Atantuya Shaaribu murder case, the shadowy world of arms contracts and RM541 million commission paid to Perimekar, a company owned by Abdul Razak.and a strings of other misdeeds made by the gomen. Why talk about special rights? You should talk about more pertinent issues like when tenders are bypassed? When a phone call is made to influence a decision. When ‘under-the-table’ money is passed to decision makers. When the most proficient and efficient contractor is sidestepped for the one with better ‘offerings’. Who is lying then?
Wanita deputy president Kamilia Ibrahim said,
"Don’t be swayed by Anwar. We must smother the opposition’s allegations. The government must take strong measures to punish those spreading lies through the Internet. We should introduce a subject on the constitution in schools and we must have a special law to ensure the sovereignty of the monarchy is respected to avoid incidences such as in Perak."
TS : When the gomen introduce the subject on the constitution in schools later on, please dont forget to inform our children about the Constitutional crisis of the 1980s, it was a battle royal between UMNO and the Rulers. UMNO adopted a stand to disgrace and smear the Rulers to the point that the rakyat rose up in anger and almost demanded that the Monarchy be abolished. Also about the judges whom demonstrated their independence, were sacked or placed in cold storage or demoted. Tell them who are the real pengkhianat dan penderhaka. i.e none other... UMNO......
Umno Youth delegate Nor Said Nayan Langkawi, Kedah said,
Pakatan Rakyat is an illegal coalition as it is not registered. We must from now on not use the term ‘Pakatan’ and the media should stop giving them free publicity.
TS : Who are you to tell Pakatan Rakyat not to use the term "Pakatan" There nothing in the law that say that they cannot use the term "Pakatan". Illegal in term it's not being registered. Awak nak sibuk buat apa?

Ku Li- Najib should clear his name in court..........
Yesterday I gave an interview to Sarah Stewart, the Bureau Chief of AFP in Malaysia. Among the questions she asked me was the unavoidable question about the international scandal linking Dato’ Seri Najib Razak with the murder of Altantuya Sharibuu and with the purchase of the Scorpene submarines.
I told Sarah that in my long experience as a politician the only way to clear one’s name when a scandal has broken out around oneself is to meet it head on in the court of law. The BMF scandal of the 1980’s also had its share of lurid detail. There too a large sum of money and a murder was involved. An unseen hand had woven the threads of the story around me to destroy me politically. But when international newspapers alleged that I was involved in any wrongdoing, I took action against each and every one of them in their home jurisdictions.
I sued The Telegraph and The Sunday Times of the UK, and The South China Morning Post of Hong Kong. I won all three cases, the newspapers published unreserved apologies and printed retractions covering half a broadsheet page each, and I came away with a tidy sum of money for my trouble.
It is safe to say that in the international media, the incoming Umno President and the presumptive Prime Minister is being evaluated through the Altantuya scandal. The UK’s Sunday Times, the International Herald Tribune, the French daily, LibĂ©ration, The Australian Financial Review, the Far Eastern Economic Review and the New York Times have all published stories raising questions about the link between the murdered young woman, Dato’ Seri Najib, and the gigantic commission paid out by the French company Armaris to a Malaysian company for the purchase of submarines. This is now an international story.
And this story will not go away. With its dramatic details and the alleged involvement of elite Malaysian government operatives, it captures the journalistic imagination. But the story is now connected with an ongoing investigation into the dealings of a major French company. The story is also going to stick around because it is a handy looking-glass into Malaysia’s “increasingly dysfunctional political system.” It implicates our entire system of government, our judiciary, and our press, and it casts a shadow on our ability as a nation to face and tell the truth. Against this backdrop promises of reform ring hollow. The storyline of the New York Times article, for example, is that scandal-clouded succession reveals a once confident young country shaken to its foundations by institutional rot. I cannot say this is inaccurate.
The scandal is bringing shame to the nation and damaging our international credibility. For the honour of the nation, for the honour of the office of prime minister, for the honour of the sovereign institutions expected to endorse, confirm and lend authority to him should he become prime minister according to Umno’s plans, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak should finally face these suspicions and implied charges, submit himself to legal scrutiny, and come clean on them.
Swearing on the Al-Quran is not the way out. Scoundrels have been known to do that. The truth, established through the rigorous and public scrutiny of the law, is the only remedy if an untrue story has gained currency not just internationally but at home among a large section of the people.
Najib should voluntarily offer to testify at the trial of the two officers charged with killing Altantuya Sharibuu. He could also write to these newspapers and if necessary he should take legal action against them to clear his name and that of our country.

Najib will never bear witness, he swear that that he will never testify, and I don’t believe he will ever do so.
Just imagine the amount of money required to keep everybody quite? If this dirty episode is exposed and become public knowledge, there will be no more Sri Perdana for Dotty!
Btw. after the big victory for his team in the UMNO's AGM, do you think Najib will ever take the stand.................
The question now, will Najib known to be Mahathir's blue-eyed kid rekindles 'Mahathirisme'? Only time will tell when will the puppeteer returns...........
On another note, the ex-UMNO Youth chief Hishammuddin had warned party members to be aware of a particular politician who was going all out, using all means, to topple the BN government. In his speech, Hishammuddin warned the delegates of the party traitor who "sow the seeds of hatred and would turn against his own race". Without naming anyone specifically, Hishammuddin said the traitor was power crazy and would stop at nothing (in gaining power).
Was Hishammuddin referring to Anwar, whom many were led to believe or in fact he is indirectly pointing to none other than Ku Li? Ku Li's scathing attacks of UMNO and it's corrupt and power crazy leadership, which is now soon to be led by the tyrannical Najib Razak has ruffled many a feather within the UMNO itself.
It is no secret that the rakyat are more than willing to accept Ku Li as the PM for now, until the next General Elections rather than to have Najib at helm.

Sama ada Anwar bebas atau ditahan has nothing to do with UMNO's AGM.
Anwar ditahan kerana fitnah UMNO.

From London and Paris to Jakarta and Brisbane, notable publications have cast doubts on the Najib Abdul Razak’s worthiness for the PM’s office. It is safe to say that no prime ministerial succession – we have had five in the last 38 years – has had as underwhelming a reception in the international media as Najib’s. Najib, who would be Malaysia’s sixth prime minister, is expected to be sworn in next week, a little more than a week after Umno - dominant member of the ruling BN coalition - endorses him as its 7th president in the party’s 63-year history.
Traditionally, the Umno president assumes the post of prime minister.
It is only to be expected that the international media would accord features and comment on the impending investiture of a new prime minister of Malaysia. If memory serves, only Dr Mahathir Mohamed’s acclamation as Umno president in June 1981 and consequent elevation to the office of PM incurred a negative vibe - the international media noted he was the author of the callous “We will shoot them” remark in connection with the mass landing of Vietnamese refugees off the Terengganu coast in the mid-1970s.

Choas at Anwar's ceramah tear gas fired while both Harakah and Suara Keadilan banned.......
Volleys of tear gas were fired into the crowd minutes after Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim took the podium in a ceramah tonight at Bukit Selambau, Kedah.
According to eyewitnesses, the police fired tear gas and unleashed chemical-laced water on about 5,000 people who had gathered in a public field near the PKR election operation centre for the ceramah.
The ceramah, which kicked off at 9.30pm, was to feature a number speeches by top Pakatan Rakyat leaders including Anwar.
“After a 10-minute introduction, Anwar went up on stage and in less than a minute after he started speaking, the police fired tear gas and doused the people with water,” said Saiful Izham, who is Bukit Selambau PKR election director and party’s supreme council member.
Saiful said that no warning was given by the police. The crowd began to disperse soon after but at least 19 people were arrested.
“I saw 19 people held in one truck alone,” said Saiful. He estimated there were more than 200 riot police deployed, backed by two water cannon vehicles as well as five police trucks.
Anwar ushered into operation room. Soon after pandemonium erupted as a result of the tear gas, Anwar was quickly ushered into the PKR operation room where aides sealed the door. Saiful said that the police tried to “break down the door” but decided not to proceed. Anwar later emerged from the office apparently unscathed.
“The police shot 20 or 30 volleys of tear gas,” lamented Saiful.
He said that those arrested were brought to the police headquarters in Kuala Muda.Tensions are high in Bukit Selambau, a state constituency where a crucial by-election will be held on April 7.PKR is fielding greenhorn S Manikumar against Kedah MIC deputy chairman S Ganesan in the contest.
Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has suspended the organs of two opposition parties - PAS'Harakah and PKR's Suara Keadilan - for three months, effective immediately. With the suspension, both newspapers will not be able to publish until the end of June, missing out on a number of crucial political events including the three by-elections on April 7.
Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar was quoted in Bernama as saying that the two newspapers were suspended because they had violated the conditions of their permits."This action does not mean the government is curbing press freedom but to preserve peace and harmony in our multi-racial society," he was quoted as saying.
The ministry had also seized nearly 20,000 copies of the Feb 4-11 edition that had the frontpage headlines, 'Perak cabar SPR ke mahkamah' (Perak challenges EC to court). However this latest punishment from the ministry only leaves room for speculations as to why the publication was suspended.
One possible reason could be the publication's continuous negative reports on incoming Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak who is set to assume the top post in the first week of April.
